BEVERLY HILLS, CA (Talon News) -- Norman Lear, liberal television producer and founder of the leftist-leaning political group People For the American Way, has begun a new $9 million voting drive designed to get as many as two million young adults to vote in the 2004 election.

"Getting young people to vote is a sizable challenge," Lear declared at the press conference announcing this effort. "But were going to move the mountain one rock at a time."

The Beverly Hills, CA-based "Declare Yourself" campaign will feature an original copy of the Declaration of Independence and will target 18 college campuses to inspire the students to get out and vote.

The nationwide tour will begin on January 26, 2004 at Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire and will end on March 30, 2004 on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

Maybe Norman "Leer" will again miscalculate. In his production "All in the Family" I think he figured that people would identify with "Meathead" and be disgusted with Archie the archaic Philistine. Surprise, surprise!! Most people identified with Archie and found him a sympathetic character and found "Meathead" incredibly arrogant and downright ignorant.

Let's just hope that his program to indoctrinate the young will backfire, too.

Markdark, they're not only more hip they're on less drugs. You can believe anything when you're up, down and in between all at once.

He already blew it. Twenty MILLION people listen to Rush every dayThat dork Leer will never draw that kind of water. His veiws are archaic and mostly bogus. He hasn't backed a winner since "All in the Family." Old news.
His other problem is right here on the internet, his side no longer controls the flow of information. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/usflag22.gif
