Hi TXN4EVER http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wavey.gif

Care to elaborate? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif

While I agree that there are many lawyers, doctors, politicians and judges who are worthless self serving sycophants, I wouldn't tar them all with the same mop. Greedy people make lawyers rich, we elect the bad politicians and as a result we get liberal socialistic judges. As for doctors, I guess you just have to shop around. You don't have to accept one opinion or even two. When we the people stop supporting the things these people represent we will be on our way to making things much better. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twocents.gif A good start would be to elect politicians who are not lawyers or doctors. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif

"I don't think you can make a lawyer honest by an act of legislature. You've got to work on his conscience. And his lack of conscience is what makes him a lawyer." --Will Rogers
Good enough? If not,I'm looking for more.

I would say that the group you dislike so much are no different than any other section of the general population. Lawyers get a bad rap for their immorality, but I work with people who are just as immoral and are not lawyers, doctors, etc. Money and power seem to be the bottom line in many peoples' lives, regardless of profession. And yet people are still depressed, angry, socially inept. The best ways to combat the ethically challenged are to demand culpability and to punish accordingly. Still, there are those that are or would not be swayed by punishment-the denial that persists that money IS everything is too powerful. The last real hope is to be a good person yourself and practive what you preach. And if you are lucky enough to have children, then rearing good and ethical people should be of the utmost importance.

Too, many issues in one outrage. Start with the lawyers, this industry makes laws and is the least regulated. Lawyers are virtually immune to redress when they abuse someone's rights. Then these same lawyers become paoliticians and judges. It is a viscous cycle. When I was a Fire Control Technician aboard the U.S.S. Carl Vinson. I witnessed first-hand what happens when a servo system looses it's feedback loop and oscillates out of control. What you have left is just so much expensive wreckage.
The leagal system in our nation is progressing though the final stages of the same syndrome.
Case in point is the infamous tobacco settlement, a Clinton appointtee finds in favor for Clinton Backers. They net obscene wealth from a tax legislated from the bench. Then the same shysters pump millions into the Clinton campaign and leagle defense fund. Incestous, corrupt, and all to common.
Tort reform is stalled in the Senate by the same bunch.
Anger is justified at this point, it is the same corruption that spurred the American Revolution in the first place.
We need to do something now, before our republic becomes just so much expensive wreckage. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/usflag22.gif

i just wanted to take a moment and voice an opinion about my favorite organization, the ACLU. I can't believe the amount of clout that this group of fascist zealots can wield. It is unimaginable to me, perhaps I'm niave, that judges in this country could look at this law and declare it unconstitutional. Not only is it barbaric and inhumane, but a majority, and a vast majority at that, want this law in place. I understand that my uneducated, country bumpkin self should be ecstatic that an honorable judge and the fine people of the ACLU are looking out for my best interest in spite of myself, but I am apparently too dense to appreciate it. This last campaign for the PBAB and their assault on Christmas is simply more than I can take. I am tired of watching homosexuality on mainstream tv, I am tired of being called a racist because I believe affirmative action is holding back African Americans in this country. Mostly, I'm tired of being in the silent majority. I have to say something before the ACLU makes it impossible for me to do so. I want everyone to know how evil this gang is. I have no tolerance for it anymore. I've written my Congressman, Senator and the ACLU too letting them know, in no uncertain terms, how offended and displeased I am. That's all I have to say, for now. I would like any other suggestions, from anyone who reads this, on further actions I can take to help make the ACLU realize that they are so far out of touch, that they are going to bring about their own downfall.
