Bring your keyboard and your http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cup.gif and let's talk about the past week. Whew! What an eventful few days. Which event stands out most in your mind? Here are a few more to consider. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif

And then there were nine, dwarves that is. Maybe. According to reports, Bob Graham will announce that he is dropping out tomorrow. But his aides say he isn't. Did they forget to tell him? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yikes.gif Step right up. Place your bets. Who will follow Graham?

There us breaking news that Pakistan has tested a nuclear capable missile. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif

The next Arnold bomb is hitting the news tonight via the New York Times, where else? It's about a 6 year old book proposal, with quotes from Arnold saying how much he admired Hitler and why. Didn't we go through the Hitler thing already? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif

There is a new Gallup poll that shows that 7 of 10 Americans approve of religous displays such as the Ten Commandments in public areas. This is no surprise to me. Is the ACLU listening? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

The Liberal Party in Ontario has won election by a landslide. They promised to roll back the tax cuts passed by conservatives. Their madness must be flowing south. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/eyebrows.gif

Good morning Gang! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/members.gif

Yes it is morning. Bet I even managed to beat RIM up this a.m. Just had my omelette and as soon as I brush my tooth and get my face on I'm ready to head down the hwy and see the POTUS.I have a sign all made "God Bless You Mr. President." I put Dubya on the other side so if it manages to hit the national news, maybe my sign will make it on. Oh, that's right, silly me! There's the big Limbaugh story running away right now. There certainly won't be any room for the president, now will there?

Say a prayer for him and us, will you please? Yesterday there was some kind of a big gathering in Milwaukee and it managed to tie up traffic on the main freeways. Milwaukee has had a liberal mayor for quite a while now so the highway infrastructure goes to he]] while they try out new things like "light rail", etc. Man oh man!

I'm gone.

Good Morning http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sunflower1.gif Terri!

Oh, woe is me! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif I just don't know if I can bear to go through another day like yesterday. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/barf.gif And now they have attacked the word "cracker." http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif My hubs is a Florida cracker ~ which means he was born and raised in Florida. All his relatives are either Florida or Georgia crackers. How did this become a PC offensive word? Where have I been all these years while free speech was being hijacked? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes2.gif When's the next shuttle leaving ~ I want a ticket. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Bob Graham is dropping out ~ shuckey darn! That means he'll probably run again for the Senate. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/ugh.gif I was hoping he'd go to the end and that we might have a chance of getting a Republican finally ~ like Bill McCollum. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif

Yep! I heard about the missile test by Pakistan and they said they were going to test more. They also said they had the capability of reaching India. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yikes.gif Here we go again.

Quote[/b] ] Bet I even managed to beat RIM up this a.m.

I'm ready to head down the hwy and see the POTUS.

You better not "beat me up" Charie http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif ~ I'm still trying to recover from yesterday, which felt like a real political beating. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif If you do get close enough, be sure to give the prez a http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/grouphug.gif from all of us. You are taking your GOPUSA sign, aren't you? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin2.gif

Now I think I'll go and ponder why a guy like Clinton can get by with all the crap he got by with and then have all the Dems in the Congress "grope" each other's hand and sing Kumbaya on the Capitol steps ~ but a Republican is tarred and feathered for the least little infraction of speech etiquette or as the Dems like to say "youthful indescretions." http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif Wasn't it the last administration who set the bar for egregiousness? This isn't to say that we should sink to their level ~ but like the saying goes ~ "Never try to win an argument with idiots. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience." And we all know where Dems register on the "idiot" meter. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smash.gif

Laurie ~ I feel your pain. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lol.gif When I get back from vacation we have to re-roof our garage/laundry room ~ there is a little over 2000 sq ft and the hubs and I have always done this kind of stuff ourselves. What doesn't kill us should make us much stronger. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/ugh.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif So, needless to say, I'll be doing a lot of http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/happydance.gif while I'm on vacation.

Morning all...

Gotta head out, but read some of the ideas concerning "Whoopi". To find the sponsors, I have to watch the show. Yuk. I wonder if there is anything in the Civil Rights Act concerning this type of offensive crap. Point being, I'd love to test the waters with the ACLU to see if they would argue a case for white people...Really, as Americans we should all be offended by this garbage that advances racial stereotypes.

Pakistan is a wild card if you ask me, they are playing both sides. We know Al-Quada is there, I still think Osama is taking a dirt nap. The guy was vain, he liked videos. We've seen no new ones.

My article on Rush was printed in full in my local paper...pretty cool, esp. since the liberal editor emailed me to say he would only print one letter per month from me. I asked him if that would be the same policy for the regular Bush bashers...

Rush, Race, and Free Speech by Alvy (http://www.gopusa.com/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard.pl?act=ST; f=24;t=6633)

BTW--y'all remember the support Bush letter writing campaign we did about a month ago? I still get calls from people I know in surrounding areas saying they saw my letter printed in their paper. So let's keep sending those letters out! We still have the link in the "action Items" section here at GOPUSA.

Good Morning all.

I’m so sorry you’re upset RIM. *I wish I was there to make you feel better. *And I hope your vacation makes you feel better.

Quote[/b] ]we have to re-roof our garage/laundry room

Oh, RIM, you shouldn’t jump into such a project without a little practice. *I just re-roofed my whole house, with a little help and I can tell you that you need experience before such a job. *I have the shingles, nails, ladders and I’ll get the wood if you want to drop by here on your vacation and put a whole new roof on my pump house. *I’d do it but deer season is coming up and the wife has me working on her new deer stand. *I got up there and realized that the decking was rotted in one corner so the whole roof needs replaced. Don’t worry if I’m gone deer hunting my daughter will point the pump house out to you. *She doesn’t cook so bring your own food.

Quote[/b] ]I'd love to test the waters with the ACLU

I tried my best to get a call back from them but never heard a word. *I made the mistake of telling them that I was a white man with a free speech issue. *The little people that I did get through to said that they were just too busy to look at my case. *If I had been one of the black liberals on the TIME/CNN board who were daily calling for the murder of any and all of the Republican leadership, the ACLU would have protected me from banishment, had I been banned but none of the liberals were ever banned and the moderators would ban me for asking why such speech was allowed when I was banned for pointing out the bias that they practiced.

In the end, as I predicted, the board degraded into a black pit of liberal swill and TIME closed it down. *Now the mods are all working as convenience store clerks.

WMDs. *We have found a giant stock pile of weapons and the liberals are betting that none of the war heads contain chemicals. *The rockheaded felloer is sure that there are no WMDs in Iraq. *If we do find some chemical WHs in this cache what will the dem do. *I always wonder if they will just drop the question as if they had never maligned our great president. *I’m guessing that they will say that the question had to be asked as part of their duty. *Which seems to be the destruction of this country.

Mornin', everyone... http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/red_eyes.gif

Quote[/b] ]Ah Ha! It's almost the weekend!!!

I hope it comes quickly... I'm about ready to give the French greeting http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/surrender.gif to this week. I think I may need to get a http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/beer.gif or two sometime this weekend.

Quote[/b] ]There is a new Gallup poll that shows that 7 of 10 Americans approve of religous displays such as the Ten Commandments in public areas. This is no surprise to me. Is the ACLU listening?

Yeah, the ACLU is listening... they're thinking, "Wow, we've hooked 30% of people into our agenda so far! Let's go get the rest!" I could go on a huge rant about this, but I'm already http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad1.gif and http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/madgo.gif enough as it is...

Quote[/b] ]There certainly won't be any room for the president, now will there?

No, he'll still make the news, but it'll be more incessant http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif about "The Leak."

Quote[/b] ]Wasn't it the last administration who set the bar for egregiousness?

I thought of that very thing when I heard Bustamechista's quote last night... "Where was this when Clinton's history was in question?" But, apparently, it somehow made Clinton a better, more "human", president.

Quote[/b] ]It seems to me, we need a strong strategy of offensive "newsheadlinestealing " (is that a word?)

How about "newsheadlineshouting "? We wouldn't be "stealing" anything, we'd just be proclaiming the truth louder than the libs can spin their lies.

Quote[/b] ]It seems to me, we need a strong strategy of offensive "newsheadlinestealing " (is that a word?)

Agreed. I just hope they don't try to use their "cooperation" with us to leverage us into their conflict with India. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yikes.gif

Quote[/b] ]Yaaaaaaaaaawn! Slow start today, stayed up late watching baseball.

I assume you're pulling for the Marlins... I hope they can come back and kick the Schumer out of the Giants. I'm gonna go http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif if either the Giants or Yankees make it to the Series. Since my D'Backs aren't in now, I get to root against teams instead of for them, and those are two of my favorites to root against...

Quote[/b] ]I always wonder if they will just drop the question as if they had never maligned our great president. I’m guessing that they will say that the question had to be asked as part of their duty. Which seems to be the destruction of this country.

No, they will probably blast him for the fact that we had to wait until after the war started to provide the evidence... http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif

Well, I'm off to check out the rest of the forum. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wavey.gif to all!

Good morning, All!
Happy Friday to everyone and I wish you a safe and joyful weekend.

Well, true to form the liberals and dimorcrats (home of true racism in the USA) have gone out of their way to slander and malign the names of Rush and Arnold. These people get so caught up in that which matters little or not at all and they succeed only in dragging our country further into the sewer of socialism and the grinder of freedom. It's a pity that such is the best they can think of to do. By the way....are we fighting back with kindness, intelligence, reason, sanity, and sound morals? We must, don't you think?

Keep an eye on Pakistan. I think the best policy with them is caution and vigilance.

I watched Whoopi's new show once to get a feel for what it was going to be like. I came away thinking, " If white people had done this, it would have started a whole new race war in this country." It's amazing that so-called minorities will do to themselves with great enthusiasm and laughter that which we in the mythical majority would be persecuted for. And they say we're the bad guys? shheeessh.

Okay, it is the weekend! We are going to be happy and positive and gain great comfort and joy from knowing that God Almighty is decidedly in control and it will all work out to His glory and according to His purpose. Y'all be blessed and protected and encouraged by God's love and mercy for you and share His hope with your family and friends. Have a great day!

Keep smiling and maximize your day!

As far as Rush is concerned, he had no reason to resign - his statement was about the press. Of course theres always a group looking for a chance to yell racist. When it comes to his prescription drugs - let the chips fall where they may. I have little sympathy for anyone using drugs.

Charie, if you get the chance, tell GW to log on to GOPUSA and find out what the people are saying. Tell him to pay special attention to the Immigration section.

Since Bridgette is out of the state I'd better get to work on my house cleaning. Have a great day and I'll see you later.

Hi everyone. Just checking in. Still pretty busy here at work. And I'm still a sicky. I have some sinus thing going on and it's affecting my head, throat, and ear on my right side. The weather has gone through a pretty drastic change with a huge temperature drop so that's probably it. Anyhow, I don't feel no good. You know it's bad when I get home from work and not only don't get on the computer but I don't even look in the direction of the office.

I'm very glad it's Friday. That means sleeping in tomorrow. I've been reading some of the posts this week but I'm still behind by what seems like weeks. I've been listening to all the news about Rush, Arnold, the WMD information subbmitted by Kay and lots of other good stuff but haven't had time to respond.

Keep up the good conservative fight and I'll try to check in over the weekend if I can. I missed last weeks' trivia. I'd like to not miss this weeks.

See you all later!

I'M BACK!! WHAT A TRIP!! It poured pitchforks and hammer handles all the way to Milwaukee. Ya know what? I found out that 35 year old men can't see very well in the middle of the night on wet highways. Of course when you're traveling 70 miles an hour simultaneously...... .................. I can't believe that he's an accountant, although, remember, I told you about the end of tax season party at the cpa firm I used to work for. Drunk as a "cpa" should take the place of "lord". Maybe they're always trying to prove something.

The too long story of my journey to see the president........... ......... (http://www.gopusa.com/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard.pl?act=ST; f=27;t=6674;r=1;&#top)

I'm so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open. At least I didn't snore at the president. We weren't close enough to see him very well, but at least they had giant TV screens on each side of the hall so he could be easily seen.

It was an interesting trip and now I want to go to bed. Just can't survive on 3 hours of sleep. If I wake up at a decent hour I'll post later, if not I'll see you tomorrow.

Howdy pardners. Got a little http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleepy.gif but now I know I'll be bagging z's with the best of them tonight.

I FORGOT MY CAMERA WHEN WE SAW THE PREZ. The two whippersnappers forgot theirs, too, so I didn't feel so seniory (I know it's not a word). Have my doubts as to whether I'd have gotten a pic of him anyway. There's a zoom lens on my camera, but it's not that good.

There were lots of kids there on field trips. I believe they were mostly charter and parochial school kids. I couldn't believe how well behaved they were (even the boys) and some of them didn't look older than 5. They had to stand in those long lines and then sit through what must have been an incomprehensible speech to them. There were 4 beautiful little black girls in front of us, all dressed in their best with their hair fixed in such exotic styles. Only 5-7 year old girls should wear their hair in cornrows. It's a style that looks like crap on adult men. Pee-you! All the children were dressed in their best. Some of the boys even had ties on. I think that dress-up clothes do help children's behavior. That and good teaching. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Don't think I saw one pair of jeans there today outside of mine and they were black.

Caught part of Rush's show on the ride home (in nice daylight but still raining) and heard his explanation of the remark he made on the ESPN sports show. As far as I'm concerned it all boils down to a lack of free speech in this country unless you're part of the pc crowd. If you're white, Christian or conservative, forget it. If you open your mouth, you'e a bigoted, racist, homophobe. The pity part of this is that too many of the white, Christians go along with this. Thank heaven the conservatives don't.

LET'S NOT ROCK THE BOAT WE WILL LOOK MEAN SPIRITED IF WE SAY THAT BLACK PEOPLE IN THE INNER CITIES ARE KILLING ONE ANOTHER LEFT AND RIGHT AND NOBODY IN THE INNER CITIES DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT OR EVEN SPEAKS OUT ABOUT IT. HOMOSEXUALS ARE KILLING EACH OTHER WITH AIDS AND NOBODY AND NO HOMOSEXUALS SEEM TO BE DOING ANYTHING TO PREVENT IT (LIKE ABSTINENCE) There, did I hit 2 hot topics? What would happen if I posted that in a liberal forum? Do you think my keyboard would melt or my printer would have a nervous breakdown or my eyes would fall out of my head and bounce around on my melted keyboard? Whoo, baby!! What if Rush said that in an open forum instead of on his show? It's all true but he'd be that trite triumvirate, bigoted, racist homophobe. All of the above would happen to him plus his cochlear implant would probably implode.

Just wanted to get that out of the way.

GramShirley, would love to meet you but I'm not going to the Washington convention. Would like to but I won't fly and won't drive to Washington and it's a little pricey. Maybe next year I'll take Amtrak. I'd have to save up about a year for that. I'd want to stay for at least a week because I've never been there. I do have a cousin in Woodbridge VA so I'd like to visit him, too. Maybe I'd stay for 2 weeks!! He used to work for the FBI so he could show me around Washington although I know he dislikes the city because of all the crime and run-down neighborhoods.

Good to see you back in the Precinct.

RIM: I've never had the opportunity to see her on TV. I know she used to be a regular someplace but apparently we always watched what was on another channel at the same time.

Was it in the forum that I read that Ted Kennedy's son said he didn't believe what his father said about President Bush cooking up the war down on the ranch? Or am I mixing two articles up?

Laurie, he was there to explain his economic package and to raise funds. They were having a $2,000 a plate lunch for him at noon. I heard on the radio that it was at an Italian Restaurant. It must have been a banquet hall, too, because one of the guys said that he heard they had already raised over a million dollars.

There were a couple of bleachers set up on the stage so people could actually be close enough to see the president well and I imagine those who were going to the luncheon sat there. They had bleachers and we had nice cushioned chairs, one of which came equipped with half an http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/alien.gif cheek.

FYI: I heard someone say that not one person tried to get in with fake papers or sneak in which apparently was unusual. The Wisconsin conservatives are a very well-behaved lot. They did everything they were told to and were all extremely polite, excusing and pardoning themselves left and right. I was really quite overwhelmed.

Also, Wisconsin has an early primary and I'm sure the prez wants to keep his face in front of Wisconsin voters even though no one else is running against him. I think I heard that he's been in Wisconsin 8 times. I don't know if that includes campaigning or not. This is the 3rd time I've seen him. I went all these years without ever going to see a president in person and now I've seen this one so often. And they all usually ended up at Lambeau Field sooner or later so that's only half the distance that Milwaukee is.

I think the venue was called the Midwest Express Building, but I'm not sure if that's totally correct. Downtown Milwaukee has changed a lot over the last 10-12 years. Some good, some bad and some ugly. I also have to say that some of the new buildings are also very beautiful. The lakefront (which isn't where we intended to go) is gorgeous (in places). One thing they haven't done is take care of the existing highway infrastructure. Some of the crumbling concrete on overpasses made me very nervous. All the rest of the state has new highways going in all over the place but apparently, not in Milwaukee. Good Lord, our little road that has only 2 houses on it is paved and re-paved even though there isn't enough traffic to keep the little willows from sprouting through the macadam. Just nuts! That was some waste that could have been taken out of the budget.

I'm getting so long-winded. Please tell me to shut up.

Thank you. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notalk.gif
