Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's sons plans to hold a private fundraiser for insurgent GOP Senate candidate Marco Rubio next month, Rubio told Fox News.

The active involvement of George P. Bush and Jeb Bush Jr. in the race raises the possibility that their father could endorse Rubio down the road and give his campaign added momentum against the GOP front-runner, Gov. Charlie Crist.

Jeb Bush, who has dismissed suggestions he'll support Rubio, still is enormously popular in the state, with a recent poll pegging his approval rating at 70 percent, outshining Crist. His backing could help Rubio offset Crist's considerable fundraising advantage.

It's gratifying that the Bush boys are supporting Rubio. for them.

Rubio, who is Cuban-American and also speaks Spanish.

This sounds odd coming from FOX. Rubio is an American with a Cuban background. I'm really tired of hyphenated American-speak.

I have contributed to Rubio's campaign and am delighted that Jeb Bush's sons are backing him!

Well, this is certainly good news on an otherwise dreary day. Rubio simply MUST defeat Crist or we will have another SuperRINO like Specter, Snowe, and Collins in the Senate. Or a Democrat, which would basically be the same thing.

Bravo for the Bush boys! I need to get some $$ off to Rubio soon. Crist would definitely be another porker and about as reliable as Spector, Snowe & Collins. We do not need another honking RINO!

Hopefully :crossfingers: Marco can keep moving up in the polls. Crist still has a 15 point lead in Rasmussin, but in August he had a 22 point lead. Maybe support is waning for Crist? Could be people have started paying attention to what he is actually saying.

I was suprised that Rubio is most popular in the 50-64 age group (in Florida that means a lot!). I would think he could easily develop a following among younger voters, after all he's only 38.

:elefant: We must all support the conservative candidates what ever state they are from because in the end their votes affects all of us!
