I'm not ranting or even upset about it,but yesterday I did what I thought was impossible.Even for me.I got banned from a web forum for my personal views and an opinion that I posted. When I joined this forum, which I deleted from my favorites list and that I can't find now,I had no idea it was a left leaning, bash America/President Bush site.Or that they had a policy that you could only post bad things about Republicans and the President, but nothing bad could be said about dem-obstructionists.The exact wording of the post follows. You will note there is no profanity or actual anti-dem-obstructionist rhetoric.Only the same opinion that I have posted in other areas of the GOP forum with no reaction from anyone.Quote:Words to live by,teddy."It is better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought the fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt".Quien sabe,Senator Swimmer?End Post.I do admit that the Senator Swimmer was a unfair. After all,at his size you don't swim. You float.I think http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif .They objected to that so I amended it and took out teddy and Senator Swimmer and put in senator kennedy and re-submitted it and they still objected. So,I told them to edit it to their satisfaction.I didn't care. And they banned me.Canceled my right to post in their forums.Said I violated their posting guidelines about proper respect for elected officials.Apparently this is a one way street as I saw other messages that were very disrespectful of the President that weren't censored or the poster told to change the wording to show proper respect to the person in question. And the founder of the site was the most disrespectful of all towards President Bush.As soon as I read his column on the day I joined I should have realized the kind of forum it was and got out then. But,I stayed and posted a couple of harmless opinions that didn't upset them and then the biggie http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif .So I am banned from posting in the Capitol Blue forums. If ever I post something that offends someone,I am sorry and I will try to amend it to remove the offense. But I will NEVER,NEVER ever apoligize for my opinions or beliefs http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/star2.gif .And the above opinion on senator swimmer(BLAST)sorry, senator kennedy, is one that I will defend against all comers. Why?Because every time he opens his mouth,he proves it all over again. And again. And again. Thanks for the time and space.Sorry if I have offended anyone. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/star2.gif

This is so funny. *I signed up for their news updates. *I got my daily briefing and realized something was wrong after the first couple...I cannot read that garbage. *They are now automatically allocated to my junk email folder when they arrive.

I purposely don't join in any other chatrooms because I just don't have the energy to respond to their negativity. *
I am http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/madgo.gif at myself for getting so far behind reading and responding-
and my favorite word from BOR-opine[ing] in http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif

TXN, it is more or less a leftwing forum. Whatever floats their boat. It's a good thing that there are other places with different rules. Everyone can find a place where they are comfortable. I hope you are comfortable here.

The really hardleft forums are even worse. They don't allow any disagreement from their official line at all. If they even suspect that you don't toe their line you are gone immediately.

I wish I could lay claim to the Senator Swimmer label, but that belongs to Rush Limbaugh, who I am sure doesn't mind if we borrow it.As long as we use it in a good cause http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif . http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/star2.gif

I joined one of them, once. And, hopeing to stimulate some thought, I was ever so careful to buffer my comments. I lasted about 3 posts.

You go TXN.
