ALE agents seize 929 gallons of moonshine - WRAL

Wilkesboro, N.C. — State Alcohol Law Enforcement agents seized 929 gallons of moonshine Wednesday and arrested a Wilkesboro man, authorities said Friday.

Roger Lee Nance, of 1117 Shew Ridge Mission Road, was charged with possession of non-tax paid liquor, possession of non-tax-paid liquor for the purpose of selling, and possession of equipment and ingredients intended for the use in the manufacture of an alcoholic beverage.

929 gallons? That's a goodly amount of white lightning but it was probably for personal consumption. And Xmas presents. After all, this is North Carolina.

ATF is wasting time busting people on moonshine? Come on, i bet they could have been trying to use it for fuel more than anything.

Not ATF - ALE - I couldn't come up with a better acronym for those chasing after booze!

In addition to the liquor, large amounts of sugar and other items were seized during a search of Nance's property, authorities said.

OK now, you know darned well if they're libs they're going to swill the booze and bury the sugar at the bottom of a landfill so no one can get obese eating it.

OK now, you know darned well if they're libs they're going to swill the booze and bury the sugar at the bottom of a landfill so no one can get obese eating it.And when they do, we give them a serious case of liberal remorse by telling them that thousands of hummingbirds will die because of the hundreds of gallons of nectar that could have been made with the sugar, and the booze should have gone to ACORN to hand out on the streets in one of their Democrat vote buying campaigns. They'll wallow in their own misery for months.
