<span style='color:navy'>Hi Everyone! *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/28.gif

Welcome to the new members that I haven't met and to all the wonderful, faithful, http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif regulars. After several days off it feels a little strange to be here, especially when I really don't know what's going on in the world, but I'm really glad to see all of you. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif On the other hand, I have found out there is life after http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *It's made me realize how focused I've been on this website.

The vacation has been great but it's really wierd being in liberal land. We've seen some strange sights up here and I've come close to saying too much a time or too. The Regime Change in 2004 bumper stickers are really hard for me to take. Hubby had to drag me into the car the other day because I wanted to tell the witch parking behind us that she'd look really http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif in a burkha. He says everyone has the right to their own opinion but all I wanted to do was express mine. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif

The scenery on the Olympic Peninsula is among the most beautiful and varied anywhere in the world. Everyone should see it. But the drivers were wierd. They actually obey the speed limits. Drives me nuts. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mdr11.gif

But enough of my vacation for now. How are all of you? From what I've read you sound great. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I can't believe the stupidity of the 9th Circuit Court but they have to rank as the wierdest bunch of commie judges in the country. Do you think now that the full panel is going to hear the case that they will overturn the decision of the three judges? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

And Wesley Clark, a 10th dwarf was just what the Democrats needed. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/doh.gif I heard that Hillary may be co-chair of his campaign. He better watch out, she might have him Vince Fostered. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rotate_on_head.gif

It looks as though Isabel will hit North Carolina. The last I heard it had weakened considerably but of course it is still very dangerous. Are you folks down there ready? How much is it likely to affect you personally? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/red_eyes.gif

So come on and fill me in on all the happenings. I might actually get to spend a little time here this morning and then it's off to the relatives again. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag17.gif *Keep your flag flying high! *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/flag17.gif

<span style='font-size:10pt;line-height:100%'>Words of Wisdom:</span> "[Johnny Cash was] beloved the world over as much for his kindness and compassion and championing of the underdog as for the power of his art. He's been my inspiration, my faithful friend, my champion — a constant oasis of unconditional love and support. And he was damned funny, even in the darkest times." ~ Kris Kristopherson in memory of Johnny Cash ~

It's like old "home week" seeing your opener first thing this morning. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/happydance.gif ~ Hope you miss us as much as we http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/missyou.gif

All kinds of weird stuff going on since you left on vacation. We live in a http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif world. You just don't know from one day to the next what idiocy is going to transpire. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

Hope all you NC peeps are battened down http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yikes.gif cuz it looks like you are going to be "ground zero" for Isabel.

Watched a little bit of Scarborough last night ~ Anne Coulter was on. But I had to change channels because Joe let the lib (can't remember who he was) run his mouth and Anne couldn't get a word in edgewise. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/fire.gif She was the ultimate "lady" about it and then Joe just cut the conversation short ~ and Anne never did get to get her point across. Guess it's time to write a little note to "Hey Joe." http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/teeth2.gif

Terri ~ did you hear anything about the big flap over taxing coffee in Washington? http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif

Quote[/b] ]I can't believe the stupidity of the 9th Circuit Court but they have to rank as the wierdest bunch of commie judges in the country.

Don't any sane people vote in California? How did things get so out of whack? I tend to agree with the person who said that the GOP should run from this fiasco as fast as they can. They'll just wind up getting all the blame for the train wreck that's going to happen anyway. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes2.gif

What a lovely tribute to Johnny Cash by Kris Kristoferson. I watched a really nice tribute to JC on MSNBC the other night. He was a really talented and special man. He'll be much missed by his C&W fans. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

FlGuy ~ have a fun/safe trip to Lakeland today. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Terri--I've yet to see any of those bumper stickers here in the Syracuse, NY area...thank God. I just ordered my "I support President Bush" bumper sticker, should be here soon. Will look great on my jeep. I always get stares when I wear my Bush 2004 T-Shirt, people seem scared one way or another to say something...I get an occasional thumbs-up.

I saw Scarborough last nite, that guy from NY was a total dweeb. He looked like a troll, with those funky teeth. I was scared. haha Ann was classy as always...I loved it when she said : Hello, Joe, hello, is there a host here? when the dude kept talking over her...poor job by Joe, sometimes he's over his head. He also skips over so many issues. He doesn't even bash Hollywood anymore since his trip to Hanoi, I mean Hollywood...I think he's sold out. heaven knows I've sent him alot of material.

Gotta scoot. PABAAH just reached 700 members since we started the site in June.

Putting together a list of network news advertisers to contact. Will post it here.

Speaking of which, I was going through some "trinkets" I collected during my college years and I found a really cool bumper sticker from 1992 that read "Annoy the Media, Re-Elect Bush." Also, in 1992 Bush, Clinton and Perot had a national debate at my college campus (Michigan State University)...I have a really neat Bush/Quayle shirt from that.

Well gotta' run.

Looks like Ms Isabel is going to visit us here in the US...I hope everyone is gone or getting out today. NO sense in taking chances. Even tho she is downgraded she still packs a powerful punch. Better be safe than sorry!!

I just keep watching California.....it gets crazier by the day, but its to be expected!!

Everyone have a great day....

Good morning Terri. We are glad to have you back. The other mods did a great job while you were wishing you could chase the liberals out of our beautiful NW. I hope you feel more refreshed by the beautiful scenery than you fell stressed by our liberal burden.

Quote[/b] ]she might have him Vince Fostered.

If Wes is nominated and he takes Hillary as his VP, if he was elected he wouldn’t make it to the second floor of the WH.

Quote[/b] ]I tend to agree with the person who said that the GOP should run from this fiasco as fast as they can.

I agree that the train is running pretty fast downhill toward a washed out bridge and not even the Terminator could walk away from the crash. But wouldn’t it be great to see Buesty boy at the controls when the engine flies out into the void? That reminds me that the liberals have just cut the legs from the second Hispanic, seeking high office, in less than a month. The dems love the minorities as long as they stay in their assigned seats. But let one of the try to cut in line and the dems will take their number away. I was hoping that we would see Mr. Monty introduce secession papers declaring CA part of Mexico.

Thanks for the welcome back! However, I'm still just a temp hire. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif We're still in Portland and then we'll be on the road home for a few days. pRIMrose and Laurie are still running the show, with assistance from Der Alte and Floridaguy, and doing a wonderful job of it. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/twothumbsup.gif

I never could get used to Scarborough. He always seemed uncomfortable on the air. Maybe that's why he can't control the interviews. His conservative guests may start giving his show a pass if that's what's going to happen.

Jon, it would be great if you posted a photo of yourself in that Bush T-shirt in the photo thread. I have a fun Dem photo to post later.

Tom, if you are looking in, I have your photos and I'll try to get them uploaded today. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hi GR and Flower! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wavey.gif

Nah, its from 1992...I think I'll get a little frame for it....so I can keep it nice.

I hosting a lunch/investment seminar on Sarasota Bay for a group of retired ladies at noon. See Floridaguy, even when I'm doing my job I'm still workin' for ya'. There are 30 RSVP's and they could all be potential voters for "Roarin Rory's" campaign.

Matt--I love MSU's campus...We met some MSU gals at spring break in Fort Lauderdale 1987. We used to road trip from Ohio to see them, lots of fun weekends. When we'd visit, MSU would always run out of beer...LOL

I'll try to post that pic. If it has an upload feature. I don't know how to do the html stuff.

Would y'all agree that Ann Coulter is probably the one person most likely to drive liberals into a foaming rage? Asides from GW. Ann argues like I do, with a smile. That's the best way to win an un-winnable argument.

Good morning, Everyone!
Wednesday is looking good now that all the corporate taxes are filed and life is settling back down to it "normal" frenzy. And it's Church tonite where I get to help the women's ministry with a self-defense demo....loosely translated, that means I think I'm going to be sore tomorrow. Woo hoo!

Wesley Clark and Hillary....do you think his favorite song could be "I'm Your Puppet" http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. 40 judges. Lately it seems that they all get together and each morning when they rise, write their list of things to do and it always starts with ""Be Stupid." God save us from this lunacy.

I tend to agree that Republicans ought to leave California to the liberals so they can finish destroying it. That way, when it sinks into the ocean (if only,if only) we won't be missing anything. The "People's Republic of California" would be a memory and a lesson learned.... hehehehehe

Terri, welcome back! You were missed and it's good to see you again! Glad you had a view of the rest of the world, though, to refine your perspectives. God tells us in Ephesians that "In order to witness, you must teach. In order to teach, you must understand. In order to understand, you must know what you believe AND what they believe." Good advice, yes?

Well, Dear Friends and Gentle People, may God bless your day and may you walk a little taller and greatly encouraged by the knowledge that He is in control of it all and that He and His angels are rejoicing over you right now! God Bless You!

Good morning Terri,Prim,Matt,Jon, GR,fp, and who ever I missed. Thanks for the well wishes as we sit in the path of a hurricane. I live far enough off the coast that I will probably only see some high winds and maybe some thunder storms. Now, when HUGO came through it was a different story. I might as well have been sitting on the beach when it made landfall! I live in Statesville which is about 30 miles north of Charlotte and Hugo hit us and Charlotte like a sledge hammer!
The weather brings strange happenings to our state. Last election, a Republican state congressman named Mike Dekker changed party affiliation to a democrat and gave our 1 seat advantage right back to the democrats. It's an even split in the house right now but the dems have always controlled everything and sadly, there are several RINO's in the Republican party, here, and they helped the Dems get this "co-speaker" thing going that we have here in NC. Well, as the election season starts to come back around, guess who decided to change his affiliation BACK to Republican? Dekker has officially changed back because his district is mostly Republican. I sure hope the good people of Forsyth county have learned their lesson and send him packing.

Goodmorning Everybody!!!

Good Morning All: Terri had to start today so she wouldn't forget how to do it http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Like I said, we have two wonderful people to fill in for you, but there is no chance of a coup. I guess its a good thing you took your husband along on the trip - I would hate to see you on the news, in handcuffs.

If the hurricane center and the local forecasters have it right we will start seeing the effects of Isabel late this evening. As it is currently projected, Laurie will be hit with stronger winds than I. If it turns a little bit more towards the north, we will both be in pretty good shape. I am scheduled for winds ranging in the 60mph range, which is about 30/35mph less than we had with Fran.

I usually find myself in agreement with BOR and last night was no different. He is very concerned with the overactive judges that are now trying to govern the country instead of interperating the law and the constitution. Their attempts to secularize the country could result in one of two things, destroy the country as we know it or create the second coming of a civil war. Neither of which is very appealing.

If you didn't like Grey Davis before, hes given you a couple of new reasons not to like him, ie., Clinton and Jackson. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

And the Dems will still insist that the Supreme Court stole the 2000 election for Bush, but this recall, initiated by and approved by the people of California, is just being hijacked- excuse me, "delayed"- to ensure "fair voting". http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif

Quote[/b] ]The dems love the minorities as long as they stay in their assigned seats.

And, oddly enough, those seats seem to always be at the back of the bus. I think the minorities are starting to realize that, though. When minorities were considered a Republican base (and platform plank), they had great increases in civil rights and social conditions. Since the Dems have held onto them, they have suffered significant moral and social degradation, with little increase in civil rights, and more animosity between the races.

Did somebody say http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notworthy.gif Ann http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/angel.gif Coulter http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notworthy.gif ?

Anyhow, good morning everyone! Terri it's so nice to see you. I hope you are really enjoying your trip. You're right about the Olympic Peninsula being so beautiful. I recommend it to anyone that visits here. There's just nothing like it.

My in-laws live in Portland, and even though I try to avoid political or religious discussions with them, it is apparent that my mother-in-law anyway, has become liberal like most of the others over there. They used to live in Eastern Oregon, (which is mostly Conservative), but it didn't take long after they moved to Portland to become more liberal. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif My folks live in Eastern Oregon (Baker City, which you will go through if you are on I-84)....they hate being run by the western side of Oregon. Most of the population is on the coast, the majority of them are Liberals, and they make most of the laws, etc. I love Oregon, but I would never live there again, just for the reason that the Liberals run the state!
Thank goodness, Idaho is still mostly Conservative.... http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

I watched a couple of tributes to John Ritter last night....they made me http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/bawl.gif He was such a good man! He had only been married to his wife Amy for 4 years. He died on his daughters 5th birthday, and his wife Amy had her birthday the following day.

Charie: You make me http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif I love to read your posts!

I heard Dick Morris say last night on H&C that he thinks http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/broomstick.gif will vote for Bush, because she wants Bush to win again, that way it will make it more likely for her to get the nomination and win in '08. He's probably right!

Laurie and all you other NC'ans, I'll be thinking about you all and praying for you as Isabel moves on shore. I hope the worst of it misses you!

Well, gotta get going! Have a great day everybody... http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wavey.gif

It's chilly and windy here today (again). I think it's going to be an early fall and a cold one!

In regard to the 9th circuit decision to cancel the runoff in CA. The law requires that all candidates and the petition be validated no more than 59 days before the election, so the whole thing will have to start all over if it is delayed by even one day.

Something has to be done to make federal judges accountable to the people that they are supposed to serve. Remember when a federal judge threw out the conviction of some drug dealers in NYNY when she ruled that the cops who arrested them didn’t have probable cause to look in the giant bag that they saw them loading into the trunk of their car, even though they were in the heart of drug country. The cops already knew that the guys were drug dealers and waited to catch them with a big load of dope but the judge let the boys go and took the evidence home to inspect it for herself.

Well I have to go mow and work on my daughter’s car. I have the head off and am ready to put it back on. These new cars look like you have killed an octopus under the hood when you have the motor apart.

http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/HB.gif Pcyrdad! Have a great day!!

Did anybody just see the story on Dayside about the 311 kids in Vegas who beat up other kids. Evidently, these are more affluent kids who beat up kids that are picked randomly. They showed a picture of one of the kids that was beaten, it was horrible. His whole face was bloody! One kid was beaten so bad that they had to put titanium plates in his head. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shake.gif
What is happening? What are parents teaching their kids?
By the way, they say 311 represents KKK...but they said it doesn't appear that these kids are beating up anybody that relates to racism.

They have arrested 9 of them, and they are being tried as adults. I hope that they get what they deserve! Of course, the rich parents are hiring attorneys to get them off....

Well, good afternoon, http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif !!!!

I'm home for the day - the ol' back went out on me again, and I'm sitting at a 45 degree angle. Yuck. I was playing ball with the cubs when I stretched too high to catch a pop-fly. So I'm waiting for the doctor appointment.

311 is a rock band that plays songs like "Let's go smoke some pot" and "Who's Got the Herb"? I don't know how anyone can equate 311 to the KKK, but not to say it ISN'T, either.

An Arizona school here avoided a "Columbine", and the kid is only being charged with "disruption of a school function". Somehow I think the attempt to kill people should be classified a little more harshly than "disruption". We don't call hi-jackers "disrupters of normal activities" when they try to take over a plane. But a teacher overheard AND went into action. Only one kid was arrested. I still can't find any online press on this incident.

Well, off to the forum. I'll be back later today, no doubt. I was going to do a few other things... but they require the ability to bend at the back. Rats. Can't vacuum today. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banghead.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Good Afternoon All: I'll keep reporting in until the power and phones go out. Strange but the sun is out and its another beautiful day. The breeze has already started to pick up. We should get the big clouds this evening and they are now indicating that the eye will be going thru sometime around 10am tomorrow. The latest from our local forecasters is that we should get about 3 inches of rain, but just east of where I live, they should get approx 6 inches in a short period of time. They anticipate the majority of the bad weather will be out of here tomorrow evening.

Evening All: In the last two hours the first bands of clouds from Isabel have arrived. With the counter-clockwise spin of the hurricane, the clouds are all travelling from north to south. The eye is supposed to pass east of us so the clouds will keep the same pattern. It would be odd seeing them move so fast if I hadn't already seen them on 4 other occasions. They will speed up during the night. According to the local forecasters we are still supposed to get winds of 40 to 60 mph - Laurie would be about 10 mph higher.

What happened to the liberals in Seattle? You would think they would enjoy their expresso even more knowing that you were helping poor pre-schoolers. Guess they like the idea of helping others with our money - not theirs. Probably figured they could get more federal money.

AZWW, I tried to find something about the school incident, but came up short. I did, however, find this:

Quote[/b] ]Video: Bible study group smites murder, robbery suspect © 2003 Belo Interactive

PHOENIX — A Phoenix man that police say was responsible for a spate of armed robberies and a homicide at an apartment complex was captured Tuesday by a Glendale Bible study group.

Brandon Henderson was held by the group at a home near 69th Avenue and Blackhawk Drive after he apparently tried to steal the homeowner’s car.

Jim Koch said the group was wrapping up its session when they heard noises coming from his garage.

About six members from the Bible study went out to find 24-year-old Henderson reportedly sitting in the driver’s seat of Koch’s red sports car.

“There were six of us and we walked all the way around to the front of the garage and there was a guy in my car,” Koch said. “I’m like, 'Hey what are you doing in my car?' and he was acting like it was no big deal.”

Henderson supposedly told Koch he wanted to take the car for a test drive.

Mark Hagen, a friend of Koch’s said the six people rushed the car to prevent Henderson from fleeing. Henderson apparently ran head-on into the garage and escaped on foot. The group then chased and tackled Henderson.

While pinned down, Henderson apparently mentioned that he had been featured on the news.

Koch said he thought Henderson was “high” — under the influence of drugs.

Henderson made his initial appearance Wednesday morning. He faces one count of first-degree murder, six armed robbery counts, one count of burglary and one count of theft.

Members of the Bible study group said they had no idea Henderson had a record.

Normally, I would have condensed it, and put a link in, but it's in the "Breaking News" section of The Arizona Daily Star (http://www.azstarnet.com), and the links there are very temporary. If anyone needs to edit it, feel free.

Quote[/b] ]Der Alte--me thinks the liberals in Seattle said "not my money" LOL

Liberals always say that, though. The only time they're willing to pay money is if they can get more out of the service than they're paying into it. Conservatives, on the other hand, are expected to pay for anyhting that comes along, whether we will use it or not, because, after all, we're the rich ones, and we should pay our fair share. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tqrolleyes.gif

And that's all from the editorial desk. Now, back to DA for the weather... http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/reporter.gif

In Egypt, thousands of years ago, the Egyptian people and Pharoah were visited by ten plagues. Now, here in America, we have our own ten plagues. Some people know them as the ten Democrat candidates for president. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

On that note, I need to go check out the threads. If you haven't been to the Humor section lately, check out Ruth's post on "Two Stories". IMHO, it was by far the most inspiring post all day yesterday, and I sent it to everyone I knew.

Hi Ya'll,

And, especially, http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/HB.gif to the Birthday whippersnapper who always comes into the precinct each morning like this http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/red_eyes.gif looking for http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/f_coffee.gif *and the way I have him pictured is that he is still too young for http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/coffee.gif *

BUT, since he is almost the daddy of three, I guess I better change my way of thinking! * * *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rofl.gif

Terri, as the others have said, it is SOOOO nice to see you back in here! * *We really do http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/missyou.gif when you're out, but I know you must have needed that vacation! * * *And, the only regime change I want to see is all those libs in congress and the senate--I would love to see them all just http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sulkoff.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/melt.gif or whatever it takes to get some good judges in office!

DA, you and Laurie take care and stay in touch! * *We http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lovey.gif you and don't want to hear of anything bad happening to you! *

Ya'll have a good http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleepy.gif and we'll see you tomorrow http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/exclamation.gif * That's a warning. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lol.gif

BTW, Charie, look at that emoticon of http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lovey.gif and see if that isn't fluttering enough for you http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rotflo.gif

Hey, the back can go south all day long if it wants. *Its the BRAIN that I'd be alarmed about if it was going bad. * You guys here always give me a mental workout first thing in the morning, and the last thing before I go to bed. *

Except it's a little different today. Now, they'd vow to kill YOUR firstborn, pay for it, and call it "freedom" instead of "tragedy". But another point where leaders fail to listen to wisdom in exchange for their own glory and riches. I guess the story never DOES change, does it?

Hey, everyone! I just wanted to thank everyone again for the warm birthday greetings. This really feels kind of like an extended family, made up entirely of all the http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif aunts and uncles we had as kids. Well, and occasionally maybe a black sheep here or there, but every family tree has a few nuts, right?

Thanks again, and I'll see you all bright (?) and early tomorrow. You folks in Isabel's path, stay safe, and we're prayin' for you!

Witnessing is interesting - I think too many people want to be involved "in the ministry", where problems come to them - rather than just sharing their faith with people at work, or in an airport or even with their own family.

I think a lot of people look at it as a sales pitch, which they're supposed to "close the deal". Which is good if you're a fine salesperson. However, most people couldn't sell heat to an eskimo using a sales pitch. But it's been working with Mormons for decades, go figure THAT out.

Unfortunately, with my sometimes youthful (okay, coarse!) language and quick attitude, I don't exactly attract people to my beliefs without a little time, so I don't trumpet them fearing I'd do more righeous people harm than good. But I'll debate the heck out of it. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

C'mon AZ. I wanna know who the boils is. Sounds odd, but I can't figure how else to phrase it. Why don't you enumerate the list of all the plagues and we'll try to put the proper Dem to the proper plague with the reason why. That would give you something to do while you're resting from your.........rest.

Laurie, I have to ask; did they really get any converts to join them with that approach? I'm afraid I'd have not only slammed the door, I'd have run for the Mossberg. AND called the gendarmes.

Keep safe, you and DA. I'm sure everyone in the forum is thinking about you and praying for you. We're all having fits and you're tired so you're going to bed. Tsk! Tsk! I think that's the Scarlett O'Hara syndrome. I'll think about that tomorrow. Okay. But if you see Margaret Hamilton pedaling by on her bike, please don't open the door and step out!

G'nite all! God between you and all harm.

An excellent project to keep my mind occupied.

Let's see. The 10 plagues are:
1. River of Blood
2. Frogs
3. Lice (which one scratches his head a lot?)
4. Flies
5. Plague of livestock
6. Boils and infections
7. hailstorm
8. locusts
9. sandstorm
10. Death of the firstborn

I ought to be able to do a little something with this....
