CIA Confirms: Waterboarding 9/11 Mastermind Led to Info that Aborted 9/11-Style Attack on Los Angeles - By Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief

(CNSNews.com) - The Central Intelligence Agency told CNSNews.com today that it stands by the assertion made in a May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that the use of “enhanced techniques” of interrogation on al Qaeda leader Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) -- including the use of waterboarding -- caused KSM to reveal information that allowed the U.S. government to thwart a planned attack on Los Angeles.

Before he was waterboarded, when KSM was asked about planned attacks on the United States, he ominously told his CIA interrogators, “Soon, you will know.”

According to the previously classified May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that was released by President Barack Obama last week, the thwarted attack -- which KSM called the “Second Wave”-- planned “ ‘to use East Asian operatives to crash a hijacked airliner into’ a building in Los

Angeles.”MORE (http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID= 46949)

Especially in light of this information, can anyone actually believe that even the process, let alone the content, of the memo release does not compromise national security? If so, I'd sure like to hear it explained.“You have informed us that the interrogation of KSM—once enhanced techniques were employed—led to the discovery of a KSM plot, the ‘Second Wave,’ ‘to use East Asian operatives to crash a hijacked airliner into’ a building in Los Angeles,” says the memo. There's more, but this puts perspective to the leftist desperation to blame and damage the Bush administration by claiming waterboarding is torture. It's not, but I'd burn any terrorist SOB alive to get the above information.

America should only follow the rules of No torture only and if the terrorist do the same. At least Americans do not strip them of their cloths and hang them upside down from a bridge to die o drag them from the back of a truck.
Do not get me wrong we should not do this, but we need tools to get the info we need to save lives.

It's apparent that the Obambi administration is more concerned with embarrassing the Bush administration than they are in protecting us from our Islamic terrorist enemies. Although, I'm not sure what those wusses are calling the terrorists today! Perhaps, Islamic Freedom Fighters.

It's not the Jihadis that Obama views as the enemy. It's us 'dangerous rightwing extremists.'

For God's sake do it, but don't keep any records and don't let anybody know. No proof? What torture?

It's not like the terrorists themselves have any compunctions against causing unnecessary pain or death. The Left, Libs, Dims, Obamabots, etc. are as naive as a newborn baby to think otherwise. Come to think of it, they have the intellect of a newborn baby, as well.

It's not the Jihadis that Obama views as the enemy. It's us 'dangerous rightwing extremists.'

Well that figures, since America's most dangerous enemy is OBama, NOT OSama!!!!

No proof? What torture?Or better yet, no torture, no torture. Here's where we have to confront the left's false premise as often as they try to establish it.

What is described in those memos is not torture. Waterboarding is not torture. America did not torture. America does not torture, and it does not make a good flying flip whether a Republican or Democrat is president as relates to 'torture'! We... don't... TORTURE!!! GOT IT, YOU LEFT-WING LOONY TOONS FOAM-AT-THE-MOUTH AMERICA HATING SOBs?! God I get tired of repeating this.

I recall seeing an Al Qaida Torture manual on line that featured power tools. Isn't it sad that giving a guy a rinse is considered torture, even when its proven to have prevented 10,000 plus American deaths, but nobody mentions the handwritten manual found that shows Jr AQ agents how to hang Americans from doors and dismember them slowly and painfully!

Funny, but I don't recall the left being upset by the beheading of Daniel Pearl, and the scumbags did it purely as an act of terror.
