Welcome to the :gopusa: Precinct!
Happy weekend to ya!
Here's what's going on:
BO shook hands with the American HATING Hugo Chavez on Friday--even Reuters calls him the ANTI-US leader. Chavez in Iran '06: The United States empire is on its way down and it will be finished in the near future, inshallah (Arabic: God willing)
Jobless Rate Climbs in 46 States--how's that hope working for ya?
Spring in CO--up to 24 inches in Denver--NC has real Spring going on :)
McCain campaign chief warns GOP risks becoming 'religious party' --hmmm I could think of worse things it could become say for instance the "socialist" party. Wonder if they're EVER going to get WHY THEY LOST!!!
Israeli military ready to bomb Iran and also Israeli's are worried about Obama's stance (we are too, we are too). Go Israel!
Of course the EPA is jumping into the legislation game now. Anybody wonder IF the Environmental Protection Agency is able to do an objective study? DUH!
Pirate hostage captain praises SEAL superheroes--me too, me too :salute1:
And lastly a small quote from Governor Palin's pro-life speech the other night:
"I had to ask that my heart be filled up" with feeling for her unborn son. That prayer was answered the minute he was born, she said. "My heart overflowed. I felt a love I had never felt before. He's brought amazing, surprising happiness; he's the best thing that has ever happened to me."
And then this funny when she was confessing her fleeting thoughts of ending the pregnancy:
"Plus, I was old," she continued. "And I thought, 'Very funny, God. My name's Sarah, but my husband's not Abraham, he's Todd.'" Great sense of humor but greater character/life for not succumbing to the temptation of making life easier. God Bless Sarah Palin and her family!!!
OK--->HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!

Good morning Laurie and Katy. Hope you have a fine day. We're having spring, too. The tulips are up, the daffodils and crocuses are in bloom and the bleeding hearts have poked their heads out of the ground. Life is good. Of course this doesn't preclude a snowstorm of epic proportions should Mother Nature turn nasty.
I noticed that the good, uplifting article I posted yesterday has lost all of the posts that were entered there so I bumped it up and reposted the url here. Give yourself a treat! Check it ou!

Think the :coffee: must be ready now so I'll make breakfast and then have some of that yummy looking fruit salad, Katy. Thank you.

BO shook hands with the American HATING Hugo Chavez on Friday--even Reuters calls him the ANTI-US leader.
He has changed our successful foreign policy around 180 degrees and it is going to cost every single one of us.
I think it was Will Rodgers that said" we have never lost a war or won a conference".
I think it is time for us to petition for his resignation.
I love Sarah she is wholesome.
If I am an enemy of the state the state has changed.

I'm back with breakfast and coffee. Life is good redux.
McCain campaign chief warns GOP risks becoming 'religious party' --hmmm I could think of worse things it could become say for instance the "socialist" party. Wonder if they're EVER going to get WHY THEY LOST!!!
Laurie, I thought the same thing when I read the article. They screwed up with Palin and, of course, John never does get it. He could run for office 20 times and still not get it right. Republicans don't want warmed-over Democrats; they want Republican candidates. Why does he think so many people say, "There's no difference between the parties."? I don't think so many say that anymore, though.
I have to say I couldn't believe what they were doing to Sarah during the campaign. It's as though they did everything they could to shoot her down. From those crappy interviews with Kute Komrade Katy and Specs Gibson to that expensive wardrobe, it seemed to me as though they were trying to low ball her. C'mon, all you Republican sheeple, let's get back to the good old days when we all had cocktails together and swapped war stories with the Dems and never had a majority for 40 years. Hooray!
Doesn't it seem that way to you?
Greetings from my corner of Paradise...
I'm so sad, this may be my last day with my wine gig....not much product yesterday.Got a memo AFTER I left for work, and read it after I got home...."not enuff product, do not do event."
I said good by to my Friday regulars. Talk about shock on their faces. I explained it's the company shutting down Florida operations, not me getting fired. One guy got tears in his eyes, "I have a stressful job, and coming here for a taste of wine, and laughing with you and feeling your enthusiasm and good nature, gets me in the mood to go home, forget my job and just enjoy my wife and kids. I've even gotten into the habit of buying flowers for my wife on Friday, I feel so good." I got up and hugged him, assuring him, "We'll meet on the street!"
It's this sort of thing that reminds me that a simple smile, a sincere, "HOW are YOU doing?" can make a big difference in someone's life. If that man spent 5 minutes at my table, it would be a lot. It was a fleeting moment, but obviously meant something to him, and then it just rolled over into his family.
We all can make a difference, to someone...
Kid coming home on Wednesday. I'm excited! I tried to explain to her, "This is gonna be an ADULT situation. NOT Mommy and Little Kid. The paradigm is shifting and I want it like that."
Chavez in Iran '06: The United States empire is on its way down and it will be finished in the near future, inshallah (Arabic: God willing) Well, after seeing mr. o bow deeply to that Saudi prince, mr. o prolly agrees with Chavez.....disgustin g.
Later.

Israeli military ready to bomb Iran and also Israeli's are worried about Obama's stance (we are too, we are too). Go Israel! Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, They shall prosper who love thee. (Psalms of David)
The Lyin' King has cast his lot with Israel's ENEMIES.
Could be why America isn't prospering now?

Just a short post as a test, since I don't know what's going to happen to it. Apparently, there are a few gremlins still in the new system. That's what always seems to happen at work too. It just takes a bit to get it all working properly again.

I finally able to get on, :D I could not an hour ago.
I had very little sleep last night; I was on the 3 -10 or until the last customer leaves last night and has on the opening 7am -3pm shift today. Last night our bedroom was too warm at first so we opened a window and placed a window in it, then during the night I got too cold.
Detroit Red Wings http://smileys.smileycentra l.com/cat/516.gifare amount to win the second game of the playoffs, the score right now is 4 -0 with 2 minutes yet to play. Now with less then one minute to play Columbus Blue Jackets are back in the pentaly box. :D

good trivia. Made me miss my dimwit cockatoo.
I don't know if today will be my last day at the wine gig. I have product to sell. The guy who was a Friday regular, brought his wife in to meet me. At first, I just treated her like everyone else. I admired her peach colored top, and told her it was a great color for her. She blushed and said thanks. I offered her wine, she took a bit and then her hub walked up, "I wanted my wife to meet you. You make our weekends so much better." She smiled and thanked me as well. I told 'em both, "You don't need me now, my work here is done," in a fake, majestic, Lone Ranger kinda way. They laffed. I'm gonna miss that place. It's not my usual place to shop, I prefer the smaller one, the same distance from the house, but I'll stop in often.
I've struck up a friendship with a food demo chick. She isn't working today, and when I was packing up, she came over and gave me a coupla big hugs, she was so sweet to me.
I tell ya what, the TEA parties are still news for some, negatively so. The libs are treating them like they treat Our Sarah. Ripping them apart, and making ugly comments left and right, mostly left! Apparently, they made an impact. The media really can't ignore 'em, so they smash 'em. Hey, any free ink is good ink.
A little pollution and then find the Boss and see if she wants me to work...

Animal trivia.
1. What is your favorite wild animal?
Rabbits. They're fun to watch and taste good, too.
2. Besides a dog, what kind of animal would you have to guard your property?
I know first hand that either geese or guinea hens will do the job. My youngest daughter and her husband raised guinea hens for a couple of years and they are such noisy ugly birds, she wouldn't even eat them when it came time to give themselves up for the greater good!
3. What is your favorite fish?
Pan fried yellow perch with bones, not filleted and with the tail left on.
4. What is your favorite bird?
I do believe it's cardinals. They're pretty to look at, faithful to their mates (unto death) have a pretty song and don't trash the bird feeders.
5. What kind of wild animal would you own as a pet?
I wouldn't. I believe wild animals should either be in the wild or in naturalized habitats in zoos.
6. What kind of animal adventure would you like to go on?
Deer hunting.
7. What is your least favorite animal?
:skunk: hands down!
8. Who is your favorite animal cartoon character duo?
Sylvester and Tweetie-Pie
9. What kind of animals would you like to work with?
A draft horse. Either Percheron or Clydesdale.
Thanks for the trivia, Katy. (You have no idea how grateful I am!)
I was watching the FOX news show with the panel and I can't get over Juan Williams. He writes a book that sounds as though he has good sense and then he talks like an out-and-out fool on that show. Mara Liasson even seemed a little uncomfortable with the report about interrogations that was released by the Obama administration.
I thought Adm. Hayman did a wonderful job of explaining just what bad things will arise from this half-witted decision.
Obama thinks he knows better than businessmen and military experts. Now he believes more than any foreign expert in the last 50 years we should trade again with Cuba. The Democrat line was that we really need Cuba to export our farm products to. Have they forgotten that Cuba is only a small island? The argument was brought up that this just might put more pressure on Cuba to open up and be more accomodating! Hah! I think only after the last breath leaves a Castro body!
Or are they telling us that Castro might open his prisons and let political prisoners (that libs/Dems never say are there) out.
Time to have a gander (speaking of geese) at the forum.

I slept in late.
I go for an injection into my hip tomorrow. I have been putting it off because I don't like being wide awake. This new Doctor offers sedation so I decided to go ahead. Then they will start working on my back pain.
Have been on a pretty strict diet and have lost about 8 pounds. It comes off so slowly and seems to pile on so easily. It'll be nice when I don't hurt so much and can be more active. The pool has been slow to become warm this year. Where is Prince ALGORE when you need him.
We went shopping today and picked up a few items on sale. I need to find a good sale on paper. We have two printers, a FAX machine and a copy machine so we go through paper. I don't throw any away anymore. I use it for scrap paper and give it to the kids to use for art projects. I will also use the backs to copy minutes from organizations to which we belong since we are the only ones who see them.
I just can't believe how the MSM attacked people who went to TEA parties. I heard of no riots, broken windows, fights, or any other unpeaceful protesting. Makes me thing of the Jack Webb programs - you remember Sgt Friday saying "just the facts, maam". When I was in school we were taught how to write a proper newspaper article and the difference in an editorial or analysis piece. All of the news anchors and reporters all want to be analysts but they surely aren't fair.
Did you hear Jean Garafolo (sp) call tea party attendees racists? or that attendees had no idea about what the Boston tea party was all about and had no understanding of history. It makes me want to :barf:
I think I will spend the afternoon reading since there is nothing worthwhile on TV. Need to catch oup on Professional Journals.
