WACO, Texas (AP) -- After an enthusiastic welcome from thousands of cheering Texans in two cities, George W. Bush spent his first night out of office at his Crawford ranch.

Before flying in a helicopter to his 1,600-acre ranch, the former president told about 3,000 well-wishers gathered at a Waco airfield Tuesday night that he was glad to be back in Texas.

"It is a great day because we got to come home once and for all," Bush, with former first lady Laura Bush at his side, said as the crowd cheered.

The supporters, bundled up against 40-degree temperatures, had waited on the tarmac for more than an hour. Many waved red, white and blue cardboard "W''s and small American flags. Dozens of children sat on their parents' shoulders to get a glimpse of Bush, who shook some hands and chatted with some in the crowd after he spoke.

There may be more people who will wish Bush was still here ,although I did not agree with all he did, for doing a job that was and is the hardest in the world I thank you sir and wish you and your family well . May the Good Lord take a liking to you and bless you and your family with peace and enjoyment the rest of your days. You kept us safe for many years and that sir is a monumental job. Well done!

Funny how this wasn't covered in the drive by media? Well not really, The drive bys were in such a state of ecstasy and so mesmerized by
the aura of the annointed one and his elevation to leader of the free world they probably didn't realize that Former President bush had even left town. The MSM is so totally pathetic it really is sickening!

I believe the opinion of the people close to me, those I talk to,do business, and live with are the opinions that are most important.
Talking heads opinions are not important.
