Officials: FBI investigates ACORN for voter fraud

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The FBI is investigating whether the community activist group ACORN helped foster voter registration fraud around the nation before the presidential election.

A senior law enforcement official confirmed the investigation to The Associated Press. A second senior law enforcement official says the FBI was looking at results of inquiries in several states, including a raid on ACORN's office in Las Vegas, for any evidence of a coordinated national effort.

Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because Justice Department regulations forbid discussing ongoing investigations particularly so close to an election.

Two spokesmen for ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, on Thursday said the FBI has not contacted the group.

Hmmmmmm....Guess Senator (lying) Obama has conveniently forgotten that he was recruited by ACORN to train their workers, and did so. BO has the most selective memory of anyone I've ever encountered!

Or that he has donated $800,000 from his campaign fund to ACORN.

ACORN has said the "vast majority" of its workers are conscientious, but some might have turned in duplicate applications or provided fake information to pad their pay.

Are they kidding? In Ohio, they are saying that 200,000 of the 666,000 new registrations are suspect. How can they say that "SOME" might have turned in duplicate applications.

Last night on Fox they had a ex-FBI guy telling how he was so upset with the nonchalance that Obama has about his association with Ayers.

He said the bomb that killed some people in Greenwich village was intended for a military ball.
He said the people responsible, the Weatherman Underground, moved to an apartment in California and the FBI found them with all the ingredients to make explosive devises and pipe bombs and Ayers had his finger prints all over the Weatherman apartment.
Then the sound and picture went dead on Fox and Greta said they lost their signal.

I have not heard or seen anything about this on the net or Fox and I am wondering about it.

Did that bomb kill the people in Greenwich Village in the 1970's? (Not a recent event?)

I heard that somebody in the FBI, who was investigating a bombing back then screwed up, so that most of the evidence they had couldn't be used in court, so Williams Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn (his wife) went free. They have apparently been "laying low" ever since - no more bombings, no investigations, and no news stories- although they did get involved in ACORN, and had Obama's first campaign rally in their living room.

Although I didn't see the report on Fox, I agree with the ex-FBI guy - Obama is much, much too nonchalant about his connection with Ayers and Dohrn, especially since Ayers doesn't seem to be at all sorry about the bombings. (He says, "We didn't do enough," meaning that they should have bombed more places.)
