A Wisconsin-based pro-life group is urging Republican presidential nominee John McCain to counter an ad being aired by the Barack Obama campaign that warns voters McCain will overturn Roe v. Wade.
The campaign for the Democratic presidential candidate is airing an ad in key states such as Florida, Virginia, Iowa, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Colorado, telling female voters that John McCain "will make abortion illegal."
A nurse-practitioner who narrates the ad says: "Let me tell you -- if Roe v. Wade is overturned, the lives and health of women will be put at risk. That's why this election is so important. John McCain's out of touch with women today. McCain wants to take away our right to choose. That's what women need to understand. That's how high the stakes are."
