:flag17: Welcome to :gopusa:

Good morning! :sun1:

McCain will make his announcement at 11 am on Friday. Rumors, rumors, rumors.... The buzz last night seemed to center around Kay Bailey Hutchison. Now I see that ABC reports that Romney was being followed by men with earpieces but US News Report says he's out. Another report centers around VA's Eric Cantor. We'll know when we know or when the media figures it out. :laff:

In the meantime we have the coronation at Mount Obama to consider. Some senior Democrats are wondering if the "Temple" is really such a good idea. Too late now.

Hillary got stuck in an elevator last night after the show. They got her out.

Recreate 68 was pretty much a total bust for this convention. Proves you can't go back. :str:

Yesterday's Rasmussen tracking poll showed 44/44. Maybe the bump comes at the end? Or maybe the ratings will bump up because the old hound dog spoke last night. :str:

Pelosi has been getting heckled by Democrats at the DNC for her failure to end the war. :D

Quotes of the Day: "The Democrats built a temple from which The Messiah will address we mere mortals." ~ Rush Limbaugh

“During the primary, Romney attacked McCain. He attacked me. One of the problems McCain would have if he picked Romney was that it takes the Joe Biden issue off the table where Biden is saying great things about McCain and terrible things about Obama. They’ll be running those tapes back over and over during the debates when Romney was attacking McCain and saying, ‘Which time do we trust you? Then or now?’” ~ Mike Huckster on Limbaugh's show just yesterday, still hatin' on Romney. :shake:

"Tomorrow you're going to see Obama come down from Olympus to be among us mere mortals," ~ Lt. Gov. Michael Steele :D

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. ~ The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America

"...but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States." ~ Article VI, Section III of the Constitution of the United States of America :flag17:

Good morning everyone! Overcast here in E. Cinci, but my gardens smiling, along with me. Plenty of tomatos, zucchinis, cucumbers, peppers, and lettuce. Besides the families enjoyment, it's of great pleasure sharing with the neighbors, has they too, from their gardens share. Kinda sounds all lovey, dovey, kum-by-ya, democrat moment, huh? Far from it. One's even a retired, union member, registered democrat, who isn't being bought by Odrama mania. A Christian couple, who worked for what they have, and never placed their "hopes" in someone else working for them.

"Some senior Democrats are wondering if the "Temple" is really such a good idea." Yup, "wondering" why that thought crosses their minds, and of themselves choosing to deny its recognition. "Come, make us gods who will go before us...Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me." So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt." he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, "Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD." (Exodus 32, 1-5)

Good morning all! I was the first one up so I made the :f_coffee: this morning. Enjoy!

I sure hope McCain doesn't choose Kay Bailey Hutchison as his running mate. She's as bad on immigration as he is only perhaps, a little sneakier.

I think the "temple" puts a spotlight on the arrogance of Obama. Is he surrounded with yes men? You'd think someone would have told him it was a bad idea. Especially after his blunders with the fake presidential seal and his European campaign trip. :ugh:

It seems Huckabee can't keep his jealousy of Romney from showing. :lookaround:

Good Morning GOP USA!!! Behold, I bring good tidings of great joe... :coffeeputer:
Cloudy and 64 here in my part of the Mitten. No rain in a long time--yard is crispy and pond is shrinking.
McCain will make his announcement at 11 am on Friday.
 Not at 3 am Saturday??? At least he's not trying to duck Rush, Sean, Levin, and Laura. Up front and upright, as opposed to the sleazy fakers on the left who have to hide everything they are and stand for. Better be a solid conservative though!
the coronation at Mount Obama
 sheesh. :biggrinking: -bama.
The cartoon is actually incorrect. The one who should be sitting at the back is George Soros, and the one standing behind should be Tony Rezko.
Ironic isn't it, though, that both Lincoln and MLK were Republicans.
Recreate 68 was pretty much a total bust for this convention. Proves you can't go back.
I looked at their website a couple of times. The whole thing was just utterly laughable. Especially the thing about levitating the Denver Mint and shaking out all the :twocents: in it to pass around to all the poor oppressed victims of capitalism. :hilarious:
It may have been a teeny bit more admirable when these people were 20, but they're 60ish now. They need to go home and eat some bran cereal or something.
Today's 20-yo's are too interested in their Ipods and cell phones and computers and video games and whatever else to be bothered with some aging hippies.
Busy day today, so what's new? Older DD typed out a complete schedule for her and her honey's big day, and a list of who is responsible for what. :aarg: Lots of bags to do, of course. NYD sent me a special order for a couple of the bigger totes and a wristlet yesterday.
We will pick up Granddoggie the day of the rehearsal, and she will stay with Nana and Papa thru the wedding and honeymoon :cloud9: . She loves it here and loves her Nana and Papa, and only misses her "Mom" the first day or so. I always make sure that DD packs a pair of her dirty socks with Doggie's stuff, for comfort.
And as much as Papa has always sputtered about how much he hates dogs, he sure doesnt' act like it around Doggie--he seems to adore her as much as she adores him.
Time to get crackin'! have a delightful day y'all!
Blessings,
Sewing Susie :bible: :cup:

Another hot one in my corner of Paradise...

Beso....creepy quote there, and truly sounds prophetic. I don't think that temple thing is good for the Dems, either, there's been too much satire on The One. It's gonna make great fodder for our side's ads, tho.

Guy came over last night....we got into it about those jerks with the guns. In Europe, it was described as an assassination attempt on Obama and one of the jerks was quoted as wanting to "kill a Black man...." I told him reporters make a lot of stuff up or exaggerate to find something to write about.

My bank bollixed up my account SO bad....it ran several checks thru like 3 times, over drawing it. I was horrified....my daughter's social security checks go to that account. I had a ton of paperwork to fill out, no one knows when I'll get my money back. After the over draft charges were put back in, I had not enuff to send to the kid for her ss check, less than half. She's freaking out....she has a car note on the 1st, and this money will barely cover it. I paid for her wisdom teeth to be removed, her father assured her he would re-imburse me. Turns out, that 500 was re-imbursable by the insurance company and he had the check made out to him. I asked if he would put that money in her account. We'll see if he comes thru. Ya just nevah know with him...

Does anyone else have a real bad feeling about McCain's VP pick? I felt pretty good last week that is was going to be Romney, but now.... If he picks KBH I think the flood gates will open on immigration "Reform", and that would be bad if they get elected.

I am starting a rumor that the stage BHO will speak from is an exact replica of his living room temple in his Chicago mansion, they wanted him to feel comfortable.

How many references to MLK and JFK do you think will be in BHO's speech tonight? And, if he says, "We are the ones we've been waiting for" tonight, I will :gag:

Huckabee is a boob. While talking with Rush yesterday he tried to say that it wasn't Mccain and him that conspired in West Virginia to bump Romney. Here is a link to the whole interview with Rush.Link To Rush interview (http://www.gopusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=524 26)

Have a Great day everyone.

Good morning. We had a small drizzle early this A.M. It's supposed to rain and blow this afternoon so hope it does because this just wasn't enough. No rain isn't good for Colin's lawn care business.

Heard part of Bubba's speech last night and an attack of nausea forced me to turn it off. The mealy-mouthed lying traitor to the truth should have been struck dead right where he stood. Of course, if that were the case, there would have been bodies piled 10 feet deep.

I am starting a rumor that the stage BHO will speak from is an exact replica of his living room temple in his Chicago mansion, they wanted him to feel comfortable.

I shall do my best to spread this rumor RIM. :laff:

Huckaboob trying to put the blame on Ron Paul was just a little over the top.

It's been driving me crazy that so many TV and talk radio hosts are saying "coronate" instead of "crown". Good grief. Didn't any of them pay any attention in school? "Lighted" for "lit" and "shined" for "shone", knowing there are places where lighted and shined are appropriate.

The Obama people should remember what Samson did to the temple.

Back later.

Top of the morning to you... all forum members!

Did you all survive the muscle cramps you experienced from laughing so hard at the democratic condemnation convention?

I watched until it became too nauseating and my blood pressure wouldn't take one more notch up!

I put some Biofreeze on my muscle
cramps...that helped a lot. My blood pressure took longer to control however.

Hillary got stuck in an elevator last night after the show. They got her out.

They got her out? How did she manage to squeeze in? My bad!

Pelosi has been getting heckled by Democrats at the DNC for her failure to end the war.

I guess smiling and hammering with her gavel wasn't enough to scare the enemy as much as it did the rest of us.

"The Democrats built a temple from which The Messiah will address we mere mortals." ~ Rush Limbaugh

Do you ever get the feeling the Dems look at us voters as lower than a snakes belly in a wagon rut?

"Tomorrow you're going to see Obama come down from Olympus to be among us mere mortals," ~ Lt. Gov. Michael Steele

That begs the question...will he be mounted on a white charger, in shining gold armor, waving his sword of "change you can believe in" with the theme from the movie A Space Odyssey playing loudly in the background or will he be riding a she ass, wearing a fine silk robe, with people throwing rose petals as he passes?

I've known people with big egos but this man takes the cake. He doesn't want to be president...he wants to be THE world leader as his logo of a circle indicates a global significance not just one country.

Our flag isnt good enough for his majesty's concepts of representation of his nation...it must be one of the entire planet.

Confidence is one thing but egotism is another.

BTW, Rick Flair (The Golden Boy) wrestler uses that same theme music for his intrance into the arena. What a coincidence huh?

Well, I leave you all to contemplate what's going to happen next as the Dems wind up their
demolition derby and hope each of you can withstand the performances they will be throwing at us to try to make some sort of political sense of.

Keep some muscle pain killing ointment and a few aspirin handy just in case.

Does anyone else have a real bad feeling about McCain's VP pick?

I have a bad feeling about this whole freaking election. I think this is the election in which we most need the line "NONE OF THE ABOVE" as a choice on the ballot.

I still don't think a third party candidate has a chance of a snowball in h*** of winning but I do think we will see their vote numbers much higher than in past elections.

For me the party that comes closest (but still no cookie) to what I would like to see is the Libertarian Party. However I don't think any man, woman, or child will ever get it totally right no matter what platform they claim to run on. This election is shaping up to be one of the biggest disasters for the country since Jimmy Carter.

A cool damp start in my part of the mitten, we had a light rain early this morning. The sun to suppose to come out for awhile this afternoon then a chance of a thunderstorm tonight. Right now the temperature is 68.

FoxNews.com says it was Bill Clinton thatgot stuck in the elevator, I'll post the article.
Does anyone have the article on Hillary getting stuck?

Someone on FoxNews this morning talked about B. Clintons body language last night. He did the tongue in cheek alot which to her means, I do not believe what I am about to say. He pulled at the mic and held on the potium firmly, to her means I'm in control.

Fox News reported this morning that the statium was powered by solar panels and wind machines, but it cost more to operate. so much for being green. :)

Going on a small walk.

Well I should get a lot done today.

I just picked up my copy of todays AJC and the headline says it is official that Obama is the nominee. What happened, did Hillary give up or didn't she have enough clout after all to take it away from him. OR - does she have other plans. I mean Obama does have to survive til the election, right. Somehow I just don't see the Clintons going quietly into the night. That would be totally out of character for them.

Does anyone, besides me, listen to the Mark Levin show? Today, he had the attorney for the group running the ad about BO & Wm.Ayers. She had documtation of all that they have done and told the Justice Dept. it would turn the 1st amendment on its head if private citizens were sued for the truth!!

Ya'll really ought to hear what all they have done to try to silence these people--the BO henchmen, that is, and then, Mark read a list of all the places that the Weather Underground group had bombed.

It will literally make you sick at your stomach and I don't know how in the world, anyone who is a real American, could possibly vote for anyone with those kinds of connections.

Actually, it appears he wants to silence anyone who speaks out against him and his associates. These are really scary times for America!!

He's also interviewing Stanley Kurtz on the same show! Might be worth your time to listen once he gets it up on his site after 8:00 p.m. eastern.

Good evening,

I've been out of pocket for the last week or so. We went to Memphis to visit with Joe's family. Considering his medical condition we figured this would be a good time to go, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and got to see almost everyone.

I haven't been able to read through all the days I was gone but have kept up the last couple of days. Wednesday, I just didn't feel good and I just hung out in the bedroom trying to rest. Today am feeling much better.

Wishing Susie a belated :HB: and to any others I may have missed while I was away.

Katy, saw your pictures of the flooding in your neighborhood and was glad to hear you were OK with no damages. We are now awaiting Gustav and Hannah to see what fickled movements they make. We have plenty of supplies and except for a few small things we will do fine I think.

After the fiasco with one of the hurricanes I refuse to evacuate. If asked I will go to higher ground but will not leave the area altogether. Driving 15 miles an hour to get away from a hurricane traveling at 25 miles an hour just doesn't make sense to me. We had no restrooms to use, couldn't get a hotel room, and I won't go through that again. I can go to the North just a bit (about 25 miles) and stay at one of the shelters until it passes and that is what I plan on doing. My neighbors have always stayed and they have always done just fine.

The Democratic Nut's Convention is driving me crazy. I keep turning it on just to check things out and then get sick to my stomach and turn it off.

I hate to think of anyone getting stuck in an elevator regardless of who they are. I think that is frightening. It doesn't stop me from using an elevator but I breathe a sigh of relief when I get off. We went up in the CN Tower in Toronto while we were there for a conference. Glad I did it once but I won't do it again. They have a glass floor up there and you can lay down on it and have someone take your picture so it looks like you are falling. I couldn't even look at it much less get someone to take my picture. It made me dizzy just to look.

The gullywasher storm I requested for Denver didn't materialize tonight. Loos like some changes will be made next week for the Republican Convention thanks to Gustav and Hannah. Carl Rove said today "the Republicans just can't get a break".

I guess BHO is going to come from the Temple of the Gods tonight to give his acceptance speech. Does this make him seem more like a God? I really would like to know how much money he spent on that stadium rental. I know they don't let people use it for free. How much is he paying for Springsteen to WOW the crowd? Just so curious and not one single msm person has asked the question. I think we , the American public, has a right to know.

Stormy, I have said this before and I will say it again, just because I don't comment on every one of your posts doesn't mean I don't read them. I don't listen to Mark Levin. We don't have a good radio in the house and I am just to lazy to get the XM out of the car so I can listen to just a few shows. We read the paper and watch TV. When in the car the radio is always on.

Well, my TV show is on. Will try and BBL. It's so good to be home and I really missed everyone.

Joy and Susie,

He doesn't come in here on the radio and I don't have XM or Sirius--I listen to him and Hannity online, since we get neither.

You can find all his shows listed on his site and I promise you, he gets more in two hours than any of the others do in three!!

http://marklevinshow.com Click on listen live at the top of the site and it takes you to a list of his streamed shows. Just click on the date you wish to listen to. I wouldn't bother listening if he didn't have so much substance on them!!

Oh, the post I wondered if anyone read was the one where I told I had a new great granddaughter (born July31st), named Grace Elizabeth (is it me or are kids going back to old-fashioned names) and about a conversation I had with my AF grandson.

Had to watch the Packer game (rookie Packers did a great job in the second half. Rodgers only got to make one play, he threw for a touchdown and they pulled him out) and then afterward the Messiah. He was already speaking so didn't get to see him come down on angel wings or whatever. He's simply full of sturm und drang and is wowing the socks off the sheeple at the convention. He's still promising all kinds of things and most of them will interfere with anyone who has an IQ above the level of wallboard.

He's still on but I can only hear him when he really raises his voice so I bark and tell him to shut up.

There are enough lies floating around to make the  happy through the 30th century.

I sometimes listen to Mark on the radio when we have a "skip". I may have bookmarked him from your link a couple of weeks ago, Stormy.

I like him even though he gets a little too frenetic to suit me. I don't mind, however, when he just says, "Get off the phone you big dope!"

Congratulations on the new great grand, Stormy. You're right about the name. I think for the past 30 years the really old names are coming back. My friend named her girl Sarah 30 years ago and it's getting more and more common. My grand's name is Hannah. How old fashioned is that? Even Sadie. My grandmother had a friend named Sadie.
