OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) -- Democratic incumbent Gov. Chris Gregoire and Republican Dino Rossi easily clinched spots for the November ballot Tuesday, clearing the first hurdle in their bitter rematch for the governor's mansion.

Voters in Wyoming also chose House and Senate nominees, including those who will fight to serve the remaining term of Sen. Craig Thomas, who died of leukemia last summer.

The Washington state primary was the first head-to-head matchup for Gregoire and Rossi since the 2004 election, in which Gregoire won after three ballot counts and an unsuccessful Republican court challenge. Only 133 votes separated the two.

Considering how crooked the last matchup between these two turned out, I would hope the there will be more diligence on the part of any HONEST judges and if necessary, call in the feds to monitor the vote count.

If they would manage to keep Hussein's ACORN out of the picture, then maybe felons, cemetery residents and pets would be kept off the voter registration lists and allowed to cast ballots.

Kings County needs to be slapped with voter fraud charges and the powers-that-be removed to the nearest jail. They seem to have taken a page out of Cook County's playbook - keep on recounting until you get the result you want.

I hope NWGOPmom comes in and gives us her opinion on the race.

Rossi spoke at our Republican Women's breakfast and I found him a compelling speaker.

Voters in Wyoming also chose House

The right person won the GOP Primary for our one House seat here in Wyoming.

The race was between:

Cythia Loomis who is a two-term State Treasurer, a career politician and therefore a piece of garbage like all politicians

and

a guy named Mark Gordon whose family are long term family friends of my family and who was a Board Member of the Sierra Club and who claimed to be a Republican but who gave money to John Kerry in 2004 and to Gary Trauner who was 2006 the Democratic opponent who almost defeated our last Republican Congresswoman, Barbara Cubin and who is running again, ironically, in 2008. He is clearly a RINO's RINO and ran like a trojan horse with lots of TV commercials where he pretended to be a conservative.

Fortunately, the piece of garbage won.

Regards,
Jack

We're all hoping for a Rossi win. What they did was sick.

Yes, let's hope Rossi wins. Gregoire is spending like there's no tomorrow.

Four years ago, the Libertarian candidate for Governor received about 25,000 votes. This time, because of the new top-two primary, it will only be Gregoire vs. Rossi. None of the third-party candidates will advance to the November election. It will be interesting to see where those extra votes end up.
