All those headlines and then this: Edwards ex-mistress rules out paternity test--what a tart.
I heard speculation (I can't remember who suggested it) that her refusal to have the baby tested is part of the deal with Edwards. She would rule out the test to allow him to deny paternity and appear victimized by her. Don't know if that's true, but it's an interesting theory and would undoubtedly require large amounts of money changing hands.

Rainy day in my corner of Paradise..
Georgia belongs to the European Union. Guy and I had a VERY heated argument over who should be helping Georgia. Georgia happens to be rich in oil and other resources. THAT'S why Russia wants it back. Guy thinks we need to get involved. Sorry, that's what the EU is all about...UNITY. Ain't our problem, Folks.
I don't think this Edwards thing is gonna blow over any time soon, People, it's just too rich and nasty, and if the Republicans have any smarts, they are gonna keep it going until there's dirt on Obama's VP.
Condi, I agree with you...Israel is perfectly capable of deciding of they want to attack...anybody, I don't care. But YOU better be ready to have the USA provide back-up and help for our Israeli allies, got that, Dr. Rice? I respect you more than you can imagine, but please, back up our allies, we have so few in the ME.
Gas is falling WILDLY around here, saw a Citgo with $3.61 yesterday (don't shop there). Nice, I can start filling up Guy's tank again, between being back to work and gas getting lower. Gas ain't by no means reasonable, but it is lower.
Happy B-Day, Laurie's Mama.
Back to work...

Good Morning GOP USA!!! Behold, I bring good tidings of great joe! :f_coffee: :coffeeputer:
A lovely :sunspin: ny morning here in my part of the Mitten. Not sure of the temp, the sun tends to hit the sensor on the deck early in the morning and cause a higher-than-actual reading.
:sparkle: :HB2: :sparkle: :f_bubbly: to Laurie's Mom, and many more. Give her a big :grouphug: for all of us.
Time for another mad wild hackin' and slashin' party today. I could say I have my work cut out for me, but since it's not cut out yet, I have to cut it out for myself.
Clinton backers plan anti-DNC activities
Party unity my @**!! :hilarious:
ONE Person Shows Up At Franken Event
His events are even less popular than San Fran Nan's book signings! Way too :hilarious:
USA to open borders to those with AIDS
They are already wide open to whatever else is coming across. Illegal aliens get no health screening whatever, and are bringing God knows what-all with them.
PUTIN IN CHARGE--WAR: Russian jets targeted major oil pipeline....Gas prices fall for 24th day
Wonder how long that will keep up.
Kinda troubling, watching the situation between Russia and Georgia. Soviet Premiere Putin is certainly set on his course, ja?
Katy, Sonny is starting back to school pretty soon too. He is majoring in math, and has tried to explain calculus to me :hilarious: In return, I taught him to sew on a button, with much more success.
Sonny will be 21 next month. Sheesh. My widdle baby boy, all growed up. The little peanut I brought home from the hospital can pick me up and throw me across the room  fortunately, I drilled into him when he was little, that no matter how big and strong he gets I am still his mother. :rollpin:
May God grant wisdom, knowledge, health, and strength to both of you.
Time for breakfast, and then to get busy. Have a wonderful day y'all!
Blessings,
Sewing Susie :usflag22: :bible: :usflag22:

We just had the most relaxing weekend camping we've had in years. :boy: and :tails: got along wonderfully; no :argue: at all! All that changed when we arrived home and they were helping to unload the car. That earned them an extra early bedtime at 7:30PM.
They were both overtired from attending a dance at the campground and staying up late Saturday night. Their moods should be much better today hopefully.
My goodness, there sure is a lot of news to catch up with today. No cable at the camp so we don't get much more than local news there.
:HB: Laurie's Mom.
Time to get started on Monday errands.

Good morning all, we are just getting ready to build the Ark up here, so much rain :cloud: , aside from the 2 of every animal I can now take the John Edwards '2 Americas' and the BHO '2 views to every question'.
All those headlines and then this: Edwards ex-mistress rules out paternity test--what a tart.
I'm sure this was a calculated maneuver they pre -arranged. He can keep asking for it and then throw his hands up and say "What can I do" :nahna: . As long as you keep sending those checks Breck Girl, she'll keep saying "no Paternity tests".
Gas prices fall for 24th day
Hmmm, let's go back and see what that coincides with.... could it be GW lifting the Presidential ban on offshore drilling? :happydance:
Well, off to the Ark building , have a safe day everyone.
This business of letting in HIV positive people is INSANE! It is NO longer strictly a homosexual problem (if it evah was). It is a public health situation and it's serious. It is now behavior driven ONLY, since we have cleaned up our blood supply system, so there is NO excuse.
"ALL HIV people...step right here, just do NOT have any fruit or plants that are on the Custom Service's no-no list. NO exotic birds, no fruit, no dogs, no cats, but those with a communicable, deadly, expensive to treat {and always treated with public, tax-payer funds} just step right here, and thank you for being irresponsible and continue to be, we just love ya! And if yer from the MidEast, as well as HIV positive, and are carrying bombs, yer perfect...."

”What can I do"
After being cornered in a restroom stall for hours you would think that Johnny E. would start to understand the depths the national enquirer will dig in Ms. Hunter’s garbage to get DNA from that baby. Then they can get JE’s DNA the same way before they ask him take the test. If he refuses then the NE can use the garbage DNA and at long last we will be rid of Johnny. I think he still thinks that if he can keep the love child out of the mix he can make the claim that he was faithful to his dieing wife, once he realized that she was dieing.
Hmmm, let's go back and see what that coincides with.... could it be GW lifting the Presidential ban on offshore drilling?
According to Obamanation the price is falling because he said that he will release all of the oil from the strategic reserves.
I especially want the Africans that have HIV and are doing their best to get rid of it by having sex with virgins.

I just came back from placing fall :f_rose: at my relatives gravesites in two different cemeteries. One cemetery has been around since the 1800s. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in Jacksonville.
Then, we went and placed flowers on my grandparents grave plots.
Next week, we have local and state elections. My mother and I voted early. We have an important State Attorney race.

Just posted updates from the Speaker's Blog--John Boehner--and a link to John Culberson's qik videos HERE (http://www.gopusa.com/forum/showthread.php?p=471 229#post471229)
Also posted about all those Texans participating in the Olympics yesterday--did any of you look at the video by Rick Noriega--who is running against John Cornyn's? Especially, you Texans on here, should look at it. :)
:HB2: to Laurie's Mom--so happy for you! Mom's b'days are always special-at least, to me!
Ya'll have a great day!

I so excited. One, tho, is coming back from a funeral of a high school friend, and she's sad. The other is late cuz she has to come the long way, her dad wouldn't give her two bucks for the toll. I'll re-imburse her for toll and gas, both of them. I don't care, they're coming to have ribs with me!

In Wisconsin the news people are proclaiming it's because people have stopped driving so much. No mention of oil speculators, though. They seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth.

Good Evening GOPUSA Forum:
A clear, sunny, coolish 72 degree day here in SW Ohio. Low tonight 52 degrees. FALL anyone!
A "blockbuster" day of commerce.
Rush Limbaugh had Jason Lewis of MN as a "SUB" today. See:
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com
for details. An "interesting" show to say the least.
I filled up today for $3.57 a gallon at a local station today. Gas is down, but not low enough
for me. DRILL HERE, DRILL NOW, PAY LESS!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Laurie's Mom, and many, many more birthdays to come.
Obama's name makes me want to "PUKE" every time I hear it. Fed up with him already and it is
only August 11, 2008! Another 85 days to "gag"
me!!

I don't have much to say about today except happy birthday to Lauries mom.
The rest of you have already said pretty much what I would have said anyway and done a good job of it too.

USA to open borders to those with AIDS
 say it is not so. this is a public health issue, lives could be at risk.
Gas prices here in town are reg. $3.89.9, Mid-grade $399.9 and premium is $4.09.9. We bought premium gas today at Costco in Toledo, OH for $3.64.9, musch cheaper then regular here in town.
:HB2: to Laurie's Mom, give her a big http://smileys.smileycentra l.com/cat/11/11_2_104.gif (http://www.smileycentral.co m/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZC xdm529MDUS) from all of us.
Early tomorrow morning we will be going to South Haven, MI for more Blueberries, then off to the public beach there. If any of you are in the area, stop and say HI! I'll be the one in the solid purple bathing suit and very short hair. :D
Forgot to say we go to the south side of the pier, at South Haven, MI, it is less crowded.

When I gassed up the car today it was $4.239 for mid grade. That's 10 cents cheaper than last week's fill up. I also noticed diesel is still at $4.759 which means home heating oil is just a few cents cheaper. :yikes:
RW, I am so pleased you were able to get both daughters over for a visit and meal at the same time.
It's been years since I've had the entire family together at one time. Even on holidays one or another is missing. Always for a good reason, but still, there is that empty seat. I can't complain because if they can't make it, I always receive a phone call and that helps, but it's not the same.
I'm very much against allowing those with AIDS to enter this country. For the most part, it is a preventable disease and treated like it is no one's fault. :ugh: If the Republicans were in charge, I don't think this would have passed.
Lots of news today and I've had little time to read about it. :tails: has school next week with two transition days to meet and interact with her new classmates and teachers. It's supposed to be mostly fun and games to made them feel comfortable about the new school. She'll have a week off and then both kids start the school year on August 27th.
I still have to take :boy: shopping for school clothes and finish picking up all the supplies they need. I thought I was done with :tails: shopping, but just received a letter from her school with a list of more items she'll need. :aarg:
Another day, another :lightning: and :cloud: which triggers flood warnings. We've always had to add water to our pool every summer that I can remember. This summer, we've had to remove water several times instead.
No ones talking about it, but since the beginning of the month, it's been several degrees cooler than normal. I don't think it's made it to 80 and the nights when we're out or camping, we need sweaters or light jackets already. Not a peep about the cooler weather from the forecasters though. They're still talking gw. :lookaround:

Good evening,
Thought I'd at least check in and wanted to wish Laurie's Mom a very :HB:
It's been a busy day for me. We went grocery shopping, (Walmart) and I found this neat little vaccuum that is lightweight. I am waiting for it to charge but it looks like it will fit the bill and clean all my bare floors very nicely.
I got the washing done, folded and put away. We went out to dinner and then square dancing which believe it or not I was finally able to dance just little bit.
RW, hope you enjoy those ribs. I dearly love ribs. Better yet, I hope you and the girls have a fantastic time and enjoy each other's company. BTW I decided to take your advice and keep a diary of my pain days.
Our borders are probably open to AIDS patients all the time since you can't tell who has it and who doesn't. That isn't news IMHO.
I don't really care if my tires are over inflated. We inflate as per manufacturer's recommendations. Tires are expensive and if I don't spend the money on gas I would then have to spend it sooner on new tires.
Gas is down to 3.69 a gallon right now around here. Told Joe today that the Dems will take credit due to conservation, and Republicans will take credit via the threat of drilling. Probably a little bit of both.
I am waiting for the environmentalists to discover all the dead birds at the feet of the wind turbines. They say thousands of birds are killed daily. Maybe they won't care about the caribou (which have actually flourished) or the polar bears so much anymore and allow us to drill in ANWR.
Enough for today. I am soooooo tired now. Had a beer with dinner and I am really mellow. Think I will go lay down.

Ya'll aren't going to believe this--James Carville actually said something that makes sense:
But he says he is mystified about the failure of the national media to pursue the story as it has allegations of other candidates' affairs.
"I can't say I understand the rules of the media and I'm not sure they do either," he said.
from this article that I didn't think merited being posted in the forum: Edwards' Cover-up Cost Clinton the Nomination
It's almost unbelievable that Carville actually said the above!
Oh, forgot to tell you this exciting news--my MICROWAVE died today--just up and died right in the middle of baking a potato! Suppose the potato killed it? Isn't it great that inanimate items can't play the blame game? You know, it was only a little over 20 years old--I was amazed at how cheap they are now compared to what I paid for the one I have--well, I still have it, it's just sitting there 'dead as a doornail".
Guess I figured I'd go first. :)
