:flag17: Welcome to :gopusa:
It's August which only means it's a little hotter than July. :gag:
Have you inflated your tires yet this morning? :D
Obama's Berlin Bounce is all gone. Gallup's most recent poll had him up by 1%. You know, I'm thinking this may get ugly sooner rather than later if he can't pull ahead. The :jacka: won't be happy.
Nancy Pelosi's :pelosi: new book, "Know Your Power", is at #869 on Amazon. :laff:
NBC is hiring Tim Russert's son for political convention coverage.
Ok, the forum will soon be full of the latest beyond belief happenings from the campaign trail. Check it out. :lookaround:

Quotes of the Day: "Inflate here! Inflate now! Avoid reality!" ~ Newt Gingrich on H&C last night :D
“Whether you are talking about provincial elections ... whether you are talking about amending the constitution, whether you are talking about de-Baathification, the rest of it, it still hasn’t happened. And so the purpose of the surge has not been fulfilled,” ~ Nancy Pelosi :pelosi:
“We know the troop surge is a success. But to what end? When will we know our troops can leave? How much longer will they be needed?” ~ Chuck Schumer

"...but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States." ~ Article VI, Section III of the Constitution of the United States of America :flag17:
“I would ask all of you remember each and every day this is the land of the free because of the brave.” ~ Major General Mark Graham, Post Commander, Fort Carson

99 degrees today in th land of Oz with high humidity. Airconditioner on early.
I checked my tires and they're still inflated to the max...next checked the price of gas at the local Quick Trip store across the street from me and the price was the same. Dang!
Guess Obama's cure for gas prices doesn't work huh? And this man wants to run our country?
With suggestions like that his kids summer lemonade stand will collaspe! But how silly of me...he's bound to come up with a "cure" soon because he's a self made messiah and messiahs can do anything...can't they?
Poor, misguided, Nancy, a woman of unusual, unpredictable intellect, whose pounding of the gavel of all problem solving devices has once again allowed that noise to cloud her already distracted, confused, mind into thinking she is doing what's good for her can be good for everyone.
Loved the cartoon! Bullseye!
Obama's answers for the awesome is as empty as my gas tank will be if he gets in office.

Over inflating your tires adds to your gas mileage but if we all did what Obam suggested we would be paying for gasoline in blood. More blood than we have lost in Iraq. I suspect that an Obams follower may have already been killed as his vehicle lost traction and crashed into tree. Let’s hope that the tree is okay.
Another idea I like is the reduction in the speed limit. The last time we tried that we saved a little gas but lost production and life style. Most of the vehicles on the roads are there to take workers from place to place and increasing their travel time costs us all. If an air conditioner repair man looses a few minutes per day it costs his boss two weeks pay per year. Long haul trucking too will cost more than we will save in fuel. The whole economy will have to slow down and fall into recession.
I have never hit a woman, , but Nan needs a good shaking if you ask me. She has got to be the worst Speaker in our history, , and we have Reed in the Senate at the same time. I fear that those two will be the end of the dem party or the end of our country as we once knew it.

Yes, my tires are slightly overinflated and have been for quite some time - long before someone told BO to use it as a campaign sound bite. Somehow I don't quite believe that it will add to our supply of crude, however.

The Democrats are so invested in defeat, even now, they can't admit we are winning the war. All they are doing at this point is making themselves look ridiculous.
I really liked today's cartoon. Obama is looking more foolish every day with his 'solutions' to our problems.
Yesterday was a very busy day. In addition to it being our 45th wedding anniversary, we also became great grandparents for the first time.
I received a call in the morning saying granddaughter wanted me at the hospital so middle son (new grandfather) and I went over and stayed most of the day. In the meantime, Hubby was home wondering if we would be able to celebrate our special day in the way we had planned. We left when hard labor started and the doctor arrived, so we were able to go to Ruth's Chris as planned.
On the way home from the restaurant, we received the call that the :baby: had been born. Son and I will be going over around noon to meet her for the first time. :D
The back story is that two granddaughers were born the day after my birthday and the new mom was born on Mother's Day so I had teased her and given her strict instructions not to have this baby within a week of our anniversary so we could have at least one holiday to ourselves. Oh well, at least it makes it easy to remember birthdays and she makes a wonderful addition to our family.

Call Nancy Pelosi at (202) 225-0100 and ask her to let the voice of the people be heard on the floor of the House through our elected representatives. Just let the House vote on drilling!!!!!!!!!

I think if we compared Iraq's progress in congress vs Mhisssssss P's, hers has the benchmarks that have not been fulfilled. I don't know if anyone caught her 'act' on "The View" the other day, but it was unbearable to even watch, she is such a fraud and an embarrassment.
You know, in theory, BHO's plan could work. By keeping the proper tire pressure and tuning up your vehicle you could increase your mileage by up to 15%. (Can you say Government Subsidy). HOWEVER, for the past 15 years there is an average of $60B per year in maintenance of vehicles that goes undone. This is another case of BHO reverting back to the Pharaohs days - "So let it be written, so let it be done", he said it, so it will happen!
We may have it all wrong, we've been saying he thinks he is the Messiah, but maybe he thinks he is actually God.
And what can you say about Chucky? "Yes , it was a free lunch, but when are we going to get the next one, and what about dessert and how do we know we'll get it forever?"
Have a great day everyone, this forum is becoming very cathartic for me!:)

Todays cartoon is right-on, Obama is all show with  go. we have been keeping our tires inflated for years.
Today's temperature in my part of the mitten is now :sunspin: 84 but feels like 92, it is to go up to 87 with a chance of a storm later this afternoon and evening.

I dunno. Hubby said that if we inflate ours just a little more we might have to stop and drain the gas tank now and then. :D
Obama should learn that it's not a good thing to make oneself a laughing stock while running for president. Dukakis had a tank. Obama has an overinflated tire. :str:

Pelosi :pelosi: turned out the lights and went home. That's how much she cares about the price of gas.

A big thank you to our Republicans for doing what they can for us even though Pelosi and her minions have turned out the lights, mics, and cameras.
Thank you candles and Terri. Went over and visited with our new :baby:. I held her, fed her, and burped her, but let Mom change her. :D It was wonderful holding a new little baby again.
Now we are going over to the campground for the weekend. We'll be back Sunday.

Did anyone else hear the author of The Obama Nation give his review of the book--if you thought Kerry was scary, he couldn't hold a light to this guy! All of his associates, mentors, etc. were communists, marxists and socialists!! The book is on Amazon today!
Ya'll have a good evening.

Good Evening GOPUSA Forum:
A hazy, hot, humid 90 degree day here in SW Ohio. A/C humming along.
A slow day of commerce.
Rush Limbaugh had his 20th Anniversary show today. See:
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com
for details. Quite a nice show today!!
Gas here was as low as $3.44 a gallon on 7/29.
Today stations are back up to $3.69 a gallon.
Strange!!
Had a busy night and am getting sleepy....
GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Various bloggers are trying to encourage Americans to send drill bits to Nancy Pelosy and tire pressure gauges to Barack Obama-some truly funny stuff out there these days-and not necessarily a bad idea. My gauge only goes up to 50psi. I don't think it will be an accurate measure of Obama's over inflated ego.

You'd think Barack Hussein would have suggested that we all be sure to inflate our tires with Carbon dioxide so as to delay the effects of climate change, thereby providing "coherent unification" of the two main Democrat party policies.
..... oh, and don't forget to inflate the spare tire in your trunk with CO2, too!
Drill bits for Stretch Pelosi. Somehow that doesn't auger well for the Speaker.
