Maybe it's me, but I'm still trying to understand the logic of the Obama campaign's European tour. Don't get me wrong, his obligatory trip to the Middle East and Afghanistan in his role as a U.S. Senator was justified, if only by the presence of so many of his brave countrymen. But the reasoning behind 'Barry Does Europe' escapes me.
It has been suggested that Barack Obama went overseas in order to morph into 'presidential' material; that his mere presence on foreign shores would somehow be transformative. That would be like me jetting off to Never-Never-Land in order to become Peter Pan; an excursion that too many Obama backers already seem to have taken. After all, his lost boys have been playing White House make-believe -- designing his presidential seal and getting his transition team ready for the big move -- for months now.

Obama has raised expectations of a chance for the nation to redeem itself in the role that -- at various times through history -- Europe has loved, respected and relied upon.
I think they view Obama a another weak sister they can get more aid from as a "good ole boy" ready to pour more treasure their way.
They like the pied piper's promises of good times for all as long as we taxpayers foot the bill as some of his plans" to raise taxes dictates.

Great Article-
"Obama was the presidential choice of 52% of a whopping 6,256 Europeans and Russians"
I have a suggestion, hows about Obama runs for president of the EU and leaves U.S. alone (pun intended)

If Obama's junket was a bust it proved he was a poor investment, the risk of capital we the tax payer invested was squandered by his inept attempt to appear worldly and grow some whiskers. Instead he looked an sounded like an apologist spouting globalism and became a patsy for other real world leaders to hope his kind of change would really occur in America, the world needs another sucker and a backwards thinker.
I would like my money back and am thinking of suing the OBM for allowing this nincompoop to run overseas and sound like an imbecile, he learned by his latest remarks on energy, drilling and conservation absolutely nothing of value, he will be nothing and of no value as a Prez.

The messiah, Hussein, is the gift that keeps on giving, like most leftists. Every move he makes and every time he opens his mouth, he alienates a few more Americans.
Whenever the Europeans laud an American leader, you have to be suspicious of that leader. Europeans have always disdained us and only really honored those of us who are Europhiles: Wilson, FDR, Kennedy, Clinto, Kerry, and now the messiah. They also had a special place in their hearts for Carter who was a weak-kneed sister like they are.
Hussein can keep talking till he's talked himself into the near oblivion that Kerry now enjoys.

Why the hell was this "Obama European Vacation" funded by our government? It was a disgusting display of ineptitude from Obama's refusal to admit that the surge in Iraq worked (though he wants to do the same thing in Afghanistan) to his telling the Germans that we all need to tear down the walls between "natives and Immigrants" because we all need to be citizens of the world as he is.
He did not visit the wounded troops. Nothing he did was of any use at all and we paid for it!! I have news for Senator Obama..........Europ eans do not vote in American elections no matter how much you might wish they did.

Actually Dingbat, only the parts of the trip involving war zones were paid for by tax payers and is provided for every member of Congress.
Every place except Iraq and Afghanistan was supposedly paid for by his campaign. I'm not sure about Kuwait as if it is considered a war zone.
But his supporters loved the tour and the press went gaga as you'd expect, given that they got to spend a few days in Paris, France rather than Crawford, Texas; a place they've been forced to endure for the last seven years.
Actually Lisa, I for one prefer Crawford, Texas as to Paris. Also the People are a hell of a lot more friendly. Besides anywhere in Texas is home to a Texan so we can go home again...

The Europeans love Obama so much, send him there "permanently"!! We have no "USE" for him!
Seriously folks, can anyone provide a single potential good thing BHO has to offer the USA?
Yes, his withdrawl from the presidential race and his resignation from the senate.
