Correct. They choose what they are sure of, and for them that is the absolute joy of being in total control, over the slightly undefinable (as to what, where and when) threat of terrorism.

The fact that congress ignores the will of the people even when we approach them in a civil manner by telephone, letters, faxes, e-mails, sends a message to me that they are being controlled by outside influences( you name them) that, we the people, have a hard time penetrating.

It's becoming totally fruststrating for those of us who are trying to do the right thing, by proper communication, getting little or no positive response, find ourselves searching for alternative ways to impress our legislators without winding up in trouble.

My thought was to meet with congress one on one, nose to nose, in their office, in order to bring them to attention of the issues.

It might be worth the sacrifice, and it may come to that, to leave our work place and drive to Washington to make a personal appearence before our representatives to make our will known.

Many people are so tied down, trying to make ends meet, their trip would be almost impossible.

If the ones who could make the venture would do it in large numbers; it might make a difference. I wonder if we're past that stage.

When all else fails what's the alternative action?

I've cited this before, SM, but it's the elitist, inside-the-beltway mentality, and it is so far removed from constitutiancy opinion that they don't even understand our language. They live in a whole different world from us plebes and only let on that we have the intelligence of turnips at election time.

Some years ago, I got a phone call response from a Senatorial aide after a faxed opinion on some issue that I now can't recall. He was very intelligent, courteous and attentive, but he hadn't a clue what I was talking about.

All of you on this thread have really nailed America's biggest problem! Couple that with Algore's biggest hoax in the history of the world, and it's time to bring out the torches and pitchforks!

One really has to question if these fools in Congress and the Hollywood Left would be given some kind of special dispensation by Terrorists. I don't think someone like Barbra Streisand or Rosie O'Donnell would be spared from the sword just because they supported Jihadists and Communism.

If Lord Hussein Obama is elected, I wonder how many of these Hollywood stars would like to live under Sharia Law, and be forced to wear those Muslim rags, not be allowed to hold a job or go to school, or drive a car. Can you picture Susan Sarandon being forced, by law, to walk 10 steps behind Tim Robbins and being forced to keep her big mouth shut and never offer an opinion?

And I hate to think of it, but if Hussein is elected, we are in for a multitude of Terrorist attacks right here at home, since the jihadists know that he's too weak to stop them. And suicide bombers don't ask who the Liberals are, and let them leave, before they blow themselves up.

I sincerely hope these things don't occur here, but if they do, there are going to be a whole lot of Obama worshippers who will wish that Bush were still in office.

As for our esteemed , bloated, bloviating career politicians, when it comes to their support of Socialism, should keep in mind that when Stalin put himself in power, the first people that he had executed were the Power Elite, who were his most ardent supporters.

We MUST open the eyes of the Obama worshippers and make them see the harm they're doing to America. "Something that Jesus said makes perfect sense about Liberals-"You have eyes, but you see not; you have ears, but you hear not." We all have Liberal friends, co-workers, and family members, and we know that they enjoy having a comfortable temperature in their homes, a lot of them drive big cars, pickups, and SUV's, they like to stop and eat at Burger King or MacDonalds, they like eating meat and other endangered foods, and they want their kids properly educated, rather than indoctrinated. But, if King Hussein is elected, he's already given indications, that we will lose all these things and more, much more!

And those of you who know your history, will remember Hitler's SA, the Brown Shirts; not a military organization, but a police force, which later was exterminated and absorbed into the evil SS. I mention this because, now Lord Obama is saying that we need a national police force!!! (And maybe a bodyguard unit, like the SS, to guard and be loyal to His Holiness, the Savior Obama?).
