We combine all our trips that we possibly can. We drive the smaller car instead of the nice comfy van. The small car is comfortable enough though. We just like the van better for long trips which we take fewer of now.

When we had our photos developed we had them print two of each, one for the album the other is in a safe. When the children were very young I did not get the photos in albums, but they are in the safe.

We do not go out as often, we really plan our trips out. We cancelled our trip to VA in early June for my niece Graduation from HS.

We had hoped to take kids on an educational, driving vacation this summer, but that's been canceled.

We are now using coupons and buying more sale items to try and keep within our grocery budget.

I'm also giving serious thought to rearranging and closing up this room. If I can figure a way, we could shut down this furnace which would cut our heating expense by about a third.

Good afternoon,

I have remained in bed most of the day with some abdominal problems again. I think I have it under control but if it continues I will go to the doctor tomorrow. I just don't need this kind of aggravation right now.

I wanted to finish off some of the trivia questions.

I dearly love cats, but a good dog is nice too especially one like Bruno (my granddoggie). He is quite the protector of his family.

We have not stopped eating tomatoes especially the ones given to us by farmers we know and trust.

Our vacations almost always include some type of square dance convention or festival. It can get pretty pricey considering what some of the convention hotels charge and the price of gas. On a trip to visit with family it is just gas and maybe a hotel coming and going for one night each.

I think my favorite movie of all time (this is so hard) is The Quiet Man with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. My second most favorite is Gone with the Wind.

John, I only enjoy the taste of fresh, just picked from the garden tomatoes, so this hasn't been a problem for me.

Thanks, Terri--I really considered that, but really didn't know where to post it and since I had the link, thought I'd put it there and then ask and I forgot to do that.

So, where should it go? I realy think it's a must see--I had it over a month before I finally got to it--but, that happens when you try to work, stay out of bed, etc., I reckon.

To answer RWs ? that I found somewhere in the forum yesterday, I seem to be doing ok--at least, vitals-wise--I just get those weak spells, occasionally and lying down for a while seems to help, most of the time. Thanks for asking.

Since I know so many with worse problems than I and a lot younger than I, I hate to ever be caught complaining! I just live each day the best I can--or, at least, try to--at my age, sometimes, the bad just comes with the good.

You'd love Doyle's (http://www.doyledykes.com/aboutdoyle.htm)playi ng, but most of all you'd love his attitude toward our country. Nearly every time he appears, he plays a patriotic medley and last night, he said, "I'm proud of my country--I go all over the world playing and I play these songs everywhere I go"! And, he made note of the fact that his son-in-law just returned from a tour in Iraq!

His playing reminds one of Chet Atkins.

Tomorrow, I am off from work. I have three major projects due next Monday and Thursday for both courses. Plus, other assignments.
