Conservatives Give Jindal Thumbs up as McCain's VP

(CNSNews.com) - Conservative leaders are rallying around Bobby Jindal, the 36-year-old Republican governor of Louisiana, as a possible vice presidential running mate for presumptive nominee Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.). Jindal met with McCain in Sedona, Arizona, last week but says he wants to keep his job as governor for now.

"Bobby Jindal is a great American," Grover Norquist, president of the conservative group Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), told Cybercast News Service. "He is great on guns, great on taxes, a Roman Catholic, a Southerner and an Indian-American. Bobby Jindal would be great for the GOP and perfect for McCain."

I can see the wheels turning. The Democrats have a "man of color" running for president so now the Republicans hop on the "man of color" bandwagon with Bobby Jindal. Bobby doesn't have any more government experience than Obama does. Granted, he seems to be a good conservative but he's too green and needs more experience.

At least the Republicans could be a little less blatant. I'm surprised that Norquist went for this.
