The Hill

A flood of recent polls supports Democratic arguments that the party will win a larger majority in the Senate in the next election.

Democrats have now polled ahead or within the margin of error in 11 Republican-held seats, as polls conducted in recent weeks show openings in second-tier targets including Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina and Texas.

There are 23 Republican seats up for grabs this election cycle — including five open seats. Democrats have only 12 members up for reelection and no open seats.

The only Democratic-held seat that is polling close is in Louisiana, where Sen. Mary Landrieu (D) and state Treasurer John Kennedy (R) will face each other. The majority of races that are polling close are in Republican-held seats.

Anyone still planning on staying home this November? That's a sure way to help the Dems win a bigger majority and do even more (possibly irreparable) damage to the U.S.

That is why we cannot stay home and not vote. We have to vote to make sure the commiecrats do not get the majority in the Senate and Congress. We have to stand together and start getting rid of all the leftists/socialists. We have to take the congress back and get rid of Pelosi and hopefully get a majority of the Senate so Reid has to step. YOU HAVE TO VOTE NO MATTER WHAT OR WHO IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!

"The Hill" is in the tank for the Democrat Party.

Congress 18% approval rating should say something.

Today is May 28th, a long way to 11/4/08!!

This race is not over "yet"!!

Republicans candidates must keep reminding Americans what the Dems has done to cause the mess we are in. Higher gas prices is on the top of this list for me.

Remind Americans that the Dems are piling on everything but the kitchen sink to bills.

Congress 18% approval rating should say something.
This says it all. :)

Senate losses are inevitable and House losses are very likely, though hopefully not more htan 10-15 seats.

The goal right now should be to minimize the losses as much as possible and win the White House. Even if we lose the White House, minimizing the losses would let us regain the majority in 2010.

Republicans can't stay home because handing the Democrats an additional 20-30 seats in the House and 5-7 seats in the Senate would make it virtually impossible to regain the majority during the next midterm elections.

I realize that "vote so we only lose a little instead of a lot" isn't a great rallying cry, but the stakes are actually higher this election than they've been in the past 20 years.
