<<<Allen West is a true military leader. He’s also a dedicated public servant who decided to spend a year teaching high school in the district before announcing his candidacy. Most importantly, he brings vast knowledge and well thought out solutions to key issues, ranging from small business development to healthcare and pragmatic solutions to the mortgage crisis and job creation. The fact that he’s African-American just goes to show that the GOP is the party of people of all races who share in common sense.

That the NRCC (National Republican Congressional Committee) has failed to pay proper attention to this contest is a testament to their current lack of vision. While our chances of retaking the House this cycle are abysmal (unless, of course, Obama’s gracious enough to help us out with a few more promised face to face meetings with Chavez and Co. and Pelosi continues to display her natural level of competence with a few more trips to Syria), there are certain districts that are clearly within reach that we must win to have any reasoned hope of regaining the House at any point in the next few terms.>>>

I'm so happy that this topic, and Allen West in particular, was brought up.

I heard an interview with Allen West on the Hugh Hewitt show a few months ago, and was VERY impressed with this man, his demeanor, and the actions he will take. To me, this man is an American hero for his service in Iraq, and I believe he would be a leader on the Hill. Lord knows we could use more leaders in Washington.

Please make up your own mind by checking out his site. http://www.allenwestforcong ress.com/

While he won't represent the vast majority of us because he has just one district in FL, his influence could be great and thus indirectly help all of us.

The GOP needs to "regain" the House & Senate to keep "CAPITALISM" alive in America.

The "alternative" is to 'scary' to think about!!

Allen's a fantastic individual and a PR leader. He has the type of sincerity and pr skills that would make him a national leader. If we had him on the Sun. shows instead of the usual highly scripted guests we'd see our numbers go up significantly. I've had the pleasure of seeing him speak in front of several audiences and they go away talking about having met a future VP. Democrat friends who've heard him told me they're still Democrats but their for him now.

Nothing like an effective communicator with honesty, leadership and integrity. That's Allen West.
