Ex-Guantanamo prisoner carried out Iraq suicide attack - By Associated Press

San Juan, Puerto Rico (AP) - The U.S. military is confirming that a former Guantanamo detainee from Kuwait carried out a recent suicide attack in northern Iraq.

A spokesman for U.S. military's Central Command told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Abdallah Salih al-Ajmi took part in an attack in Mosul.

U.S. Navy Cmdr. Scott Rye says authorities don't know the motive for the attack, which was reported last week by Dubai-based Al-Arabiya television. Iraqi security forces were apparently targeted.

The U.S. transferred al-Ajmi to Kuwaiti custody from Guantanamo in 2005. A Kuwaiti court later acquitted him of terrorism charges.

Good grief.

He was a terrorist. What part of this do they not understand?

Close Gitmo, send them all home, wait for their respective governments to "pardon" them, and then watch the fireworks.

IMO this is another confirmation of the stupidity of our pols - present presidential candidates especially.

Treat these terrorists with kindness, dignity, respect in ways they would never receive in their home countries. Kissing their backsides is not going to change them. If it was up to me, these sub-humans would be subject to bodybags as soon as they were picked up on the battlefield.

How many times must this happen before we realize that ALL these "detainees" ( a softer word for terrorist killers of all infidels) are our enemies?

Don't know the motive for the attack??

Is he kidding? Hello! There's a war going on!

If it was up to me, these sub-humans would be subject to bodybags as soon as they were picked up on the battlefield.
A very good solution to the problem.

Unfortunately for us, somebody hasn't had the courage to get it done and save us a bunch of money.

But that's okay...we taxpayers are LOADED according to you know who.

Hopefully this will shut up all the naysayers of Gitmo!! Isn't John McCain wishy-washy on this subject also-- besides all the other one's he's weak on?

Yeah, John McCain wants to shut down Gitmo, give the terrorists a fair trial, and if convicted, put them in prisons inside the U.S. so they can recruit more bitter anti-American prisoners to their jihadist cause.

John is also against any form of harsh interrogation.

You don't say! I don't think it was bad toilet training or that his mom like his other brother best.

Maybe it's because "jihad", "jihadist", "Islamofascist", "Islamoterrorist", and several other words have been stricken from the politically correct list available to describe world events. Official spokesmen like Scott Rye are probably forbidden from telling us that the suicide bomber's dying words were "Allahu Akbar".

Next, Commander Scott Rye will be earning his pay by saying things like, "Colonel Mustard did it in the billiard room with the candlestick."

Yes! And if that's true nows the time for us all to flood his mailbox with the will of the people he's supposed to listen to.

And if he does; things just might straighten up a bit. He may have a strong will and constitution but he can be persuaded as well as the next under the right constant pressure.

And to hear every honkin liberal, EVERY prisoner at Gitmo is simply a poor, uneducated, apolitical goat herder who was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. And that the real terrorists are American military who snagged these poor innocent lambs from their honorable goat herding profession......yup, keep on, and the terrorists will, too...
