Chatty Crowd Forces Clinton to Cut Speech Short - (CBS)From CBS News' Fernando Suarez:

PHILADELPHIA -- Hillary Clinton was forced to cut her normal stump speech short when a chatty and meddlesome crowd kept her from grasping their attention. Clinton, who was addressing the Philadelphia County Democratic Party's Jefferson-Jackson Dinner, spoke for just over five minutes, despite having the press arrive almost two hours beforehand.

The crowd never settled down during her remarks. A spokesman for Clinton denied that she cut the speech short, and told reporters that Clinton was advised by her Pennsylvania team to deliver “a short speech" given the set up of the event.

*I guess being ignored is better than getting booed. Or is it?

I think for politicians, being ignored is worse than being booed. Booing can still be flattering to the super egos. Being ignored, like they don't even know ... or want to know you ... must be hell.

Heck, in Philadelphia, they're famous for booing their own teams. I heard once they booed Santa Claus in the Thanksgiving day parade.

With the Pennsylvania primary in it's final throes and Hillary being ignored, we could be in for some memorable video. Maybe Hillary doing jello shots at Smokey Joe's, or eating "scrapple", drooling cheeze whiz from a steak sandwich, maybe even drinking a dozen raw eggs.

Hmmm. Maybe there should be a Hildebeest versus Hussein Scrapple (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrapple) eating contest to determine which of the two candidates is less haughty and snotty, which one really "wants it". Philadelphia voters might even boo that, too.

Maybe there should be a Hildebeest versus Hussein Scrapple eating contest Chitlins, AG. A chitlin eating contest to validate Hillary's ethnicity, since we haven't heard her atrocious black accent imitation lately. And maybe Monica's boyfriend should be in on it, him being the first black president and all. On the other hand it's doubtful Obama knows anything about chitlins so maybe your scrapple suggestion is best. Uh... what is scrapple by the way?

I'm not sure I can answer that, Clovers, as I've never bought or eaten scrapple. But the link I posted above indicates this Philadelphia area "hog offal" delicacy often includes cereals like corn meal and buckwheat.

I distinctly recall Ed McMahon doing the Alpo commercials on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show and repeating the slogan, "Not a speck of cereal."
