When Lott was under pressure, many of you were for him resigning and apologizing. As I tried explaining, this would promote an era of you say anything percieved to possibly be racist, you will be labeled as such. In fact, i believe I used Affirmative Action as my example and saying if a prominent Republican were to say something as such that he or she would be attacked as a racist. Grr, and unfortunately it came true.
My point, the Republicans need to say, HERE IS WHERE WE STAND. Mr. Daschle, if you feel otherwise, that's your opinion... however we do not harbor Senators whose best explanation of his prior racism was that he hadn't lynched anyone. The Republicans will not stand for racism, in fact we believe in tougher jail sentences. However, not hate crimes legislation, which is another way of denying free speech. If you burn a cross, you will be prosecuted for arson. If you murder someone, black, white, asian or hispanic, you will recieve the death penatly or life imprisonment.
The Republicans are a party of fairness, we believe if you work hard to earn your $, then you shouldn't be penalized for that very hard work. We will not tell you how to live your life beyond living it within the law.
Further, we will not tell you that your hard working son or daughter will be denied admission to a college because he or she is white or because he or she is black. If denied, it will be by merit. For not every kid is given the opportunity to choose their race, but they are given the chance at a fair and free education. We will reward community activism, but not because they are rich or poor.
We will succeed because of the very concepts upon which this nation is built. You work hard, we'll try our hardest to ensure you keep what you earned. Your son or daughter will not face discrimination in any racial or cultural sense... if they do, we will prosecute those behind it.

Folks, we need to stop apologizing. We need to stop saying, well it's ok, we'll just not allow it next time. What it comes down to, is we need to stop being bullied. It's time to stand up 100% for what we believe in, make our stand, and see who stands behind us. The last election showed people are coming around... foxnews, rush, etc are conduits of getting our message out. So, talk to your neighbors, don't be afraid to speak out in a neighborhood meeting, do what you need to do to transcribe our message.
