“This is not like some great enthusiasm for Democrats out there.”
Another reason why we should not be discouraged, and never, NEVER, EVER, give up on the 2008 race, And Democratic strategist Joe Lockhart told The Politico: “I worked for Michael Dukakis when he was 19 points ahead of George [H.W.] Bush, and within six weeks he was 10 points behind. So anything can happen.”
My two cents, I say the pundits are reading the tea leaves all wrong. They want to look at the money contributions and current polling, yet I believe that won't tell you who will win in 2008.
1) The Dems race is pretty clear, and thus if you are a contributor, you know where your money is going. Money to Obama is going there to make a statement and a hope that BO will be Hillary's VP candidate.
2) The Republican race is not so clear. I can use myself as an example, and I don't think that I'm all that unusual....I still have not decided between Rudy, Mitt, and Fred. I originally thought I would pull for Rudy, and then Fred made some noise and caught my attention. The debates heated up and I finally got the chance to hear Mitt. I like them all, and so I'm wrestling with myself on where I'm going to put my money and make myself heard. Like I said, I think a lot of Republicans, and a lot of Americans, feel the same way.
The current flap with Dr. Dobson will blow over. I heard his interview with Hannity today, and there is no way he or people who think like him will turn their backs on these candidates. The MSM press is fanning these flames hoping to turn off enough conservatives in order to get Hillary elected.
So, don't be discouraged by what the pundits say, listen to your heart, and listen to your logical-conscious voice. Your heart will guide you to what is "right" and logical-conscious will tell you that there is no way that America will elect a socialist like Hillary Clinton
