*Could be. In the new bin Laden tape, Osama excoriates his pals the Democrats, who have tried mightily to do his bidding, but failed in his eyes. UBL was particularily upset that they didn't cut off funding for the Iraq mission. Sheeese, talk about ungrateful! The Dems said the war was lost, and tried everything in thier liberal playbook to force the president to pull out the troops. I mean, come on 'sama-baby, at least give your Democrat buddies an 'E' for effort!

CIA chief defends rendition and detention policies - By Claudia Parsons

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Central Intelligence Agency director defended U.S. policies on interrogation and rendition of terrorist suspects to other countries on Friday, saying the program was blown out of proportion by critics.

Speaking in New York four days before the sixth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks, CIA Director Michael Hayden said al Qaeda had regained strength and its leadership continued to plot a "high-impact" attack on the United States.

"Al Qaeda is focusing on targets that would produce mass casualties, dramatic destruction and significant economic aftershocks," Hayden said, quoting from an intelligence summary released in July. He spoke before the release of a new Osama bin Laden video on Friday.

*Since liberals are virulently opposed to any and all of America's terrorist-fighting tools, and the ACLU is only concerned with protecting the terrorists' 'rights,' one supposes that the Dems and drivebys will consider CIA Director Hayden, like General Petraeus, just another 'Bush lackey' mouthing the administration talking points.
