The news just announced a major earthquake in the vicinity of Mexico City. *It registered 7.6 on the Richter scale and has knocked out power to a major portion of the city. *Unknown at this time how much damage was done or if there were any casulties.

There is a small article at CNN.com (http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/americas/01/21/mexico.quake.ap/index.html)
but it doesn't shed much light on damages either. Hopefully it didn't do too much.

I was very upset about this. I saw your post, DA, so checked out out local stations (TV) and not one was even running a crawler. At 10http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif0 news, there was no mention at all. I already e-mailed about the anti-war demonstrations. Guess I have to heat up the outgoing a little more about this. If they're on the air, why wouldn't they know this? Do any of you know?

Charie, I have to confess - I have the TV set on the FOX news channel almost all day. By the time other stations are reporting a breaking story, I have already heard all about it from FOX. They are the best at covering about everything, including the police chases in LA. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
