Climate change will be considered a joke in five years time, meteorologist Augie Auer told the annual meeting of Mid Canterbury Federated Farmers in Ashburton this week.

Man's contribution to the greenhouse gases was so small we couldn't change the climate if we tried, he maintained.

"We're all going to survive this. It's all going to be a joke in five years," he said.

A combination of misinterpreted and misguided science, media hype, and political spin had created the current hysteria and it was time to put a stop to it.

"It is time to attack the myth of global warming," he said.

I'm glad to see they're seeing reason "down under" also. If we can get more of the world's meteorologists to speak out instead of grabbing their ankles maybe this absurdity (man-contributed global warming) will finally bite the dust.

Those promoters of all that is dear to the left, the drivebys, will continue to hype it, and the left-wing loonies who run our schools will continue to indoctrinate young impressionable minds. "The facts, Ma'am, just the facts" are meaningless to these people.

We must get the truth out to as many people as we can about the myth of global warming.

I'm sure the leftist media are in bed with the environmentalists that want to tear down U.S. Because, every time there's a natural disaster happening here or abroad, both the weather people and the non-weather people from those media would just spew out the phrase, 'this must be caused by global warming,' like it's a catchy phrase. As we all know, if you want to brainwash people, media are the best and quickest ways to do that. And, apparently, the leftists have been very successful at doing that.

Nonetheless, those of us on the right of the truth have the scientific facts to poke holes in their myth.

The other greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen dioxide, and various others including CFCs, contributed only five per cent of the effect, carbon dioxide being by far the greatest contributor at 3.6 per cent.
However, carbon dioxide as a result of man's activities was only 3.2 per cent of that, hence only 0.12 per cent of the greenhouse gases in total. Human-related methane, nitrogen dioxide and CFCs etc made similarly minuscule contributions to the effect: 0.066, 0.047 and 0.046 per cent respectively.
"That ought to be the end of the argument, there and then," he said. "We couldn't do it (change the climate) even if we wanted to because water vapour dominates."

There's big $$$$$$$$$$$$ in this for the Greenies and the :jacka: and they are going to keep :shootout: robbing us with their incessant taxes and made up charges. Why does electricity made with wind cost so much more than that made with hydro?? I have to believe there is no payoff period for those big windmills – it just goes on and on and on..
