WASHINGTON — An accused enemy combatant held at Guantanamo Bay told a military hearing he was physically as well as mentally tortured there by having to read a newsletter full of 'crap,' being forced to use unscented deodorant and shampoo and having to play sports with a ball that would not bounce.

Majid Khan of Pakistan denied any connection to Al Qaeda and said he was tortured and his family hounded by U.S. authorities, according to a redacted transcript released Tuesday by the Pentagon.

Khan told an April 15 hearing called to determine whether he was rightly classified as an "enemy combatant" that he also had his baby pictures taken from him, that cleaners left marks on his cell walls and that detainees have no DVD players or other entertainment.

Poor baby! Maybe he would rather be in
Sherriff Arpaio's tent city jail in the heat that is closer to his home environment. Pink underdrawers, and good honest labor on a chain gang might be good for this prisoner.

At least he has his head, gets religious appropriate meals, a prayer rug, a Quran, and if his ball doesn't bounce I say tuff luck.

He forgot one thing: The prisoners only get "single-ply" toilet paper.

When will the torture end? :D

...that cleaners left marks on his cell walls and that detainees have no DVD players or other entertainment.

I, for one, can understand the need for potent cleaning chemicals given the prisoners penchant for throwing their night soil around. Even more curious is this terrorist's logic by saying the US is starving him of the very media machine he is sworn to dismantle.

I guess he figures they have the same rights as any other prisoner---but he don't!!!!! he isn't there because he was a good person, he is there because he was caught on the battlefield or turned in by his neighbors for being a really bad guy, so why should he think that he is priviledged????

Actually, I'm being tortured by having to listen to an idiot combatant terrorist. He's got a better life than a lot of people. He needs a good Bill Cosby line like: "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out." Buck up!!!!!!!!

Absolutely amazing. He seems more upset at marks on his wall (and he made marks, as well writng about his deprivation) than the interrogation methods he says happened.

I know, put his panties on his head, too.

The prisoners only get "single-ply" toilet paper.
Could it be said that Sheryl Crow's announcement that we (the free tax paying citizens of the USA) should only use ONE SQUARE of toilet tissue be construed as a "torture tactic" on us? I think that's much much more severe than the poor terrorists playing with flat balls!
Then again, "flat balls" might be the answer!
I say we send 'em to Sheriff Joe!

And he complained that he was only given cheap unscented soap and shampoo,

Poor dear! Would he like lilac scented soap and shampoo"?

even balls them self have little air in them; they hardly bounce."

Maybe he should try bouncing his own <grin>!

It wouldn't matter what he had while in custody as he would be complaining anyway. The only thing which would satisfy him would be to release him so he could go back and try killing americans until we either kill him or recapture him. Then, if he survived, he would be complaining again.

WHAAAAAT???? Do mean to tell me there was no 50 lashes with a cat of ninetails, no burning bamboo splinters under the nails, no hanging by the wrists until their arms fall outa socket, no electrical shocking to the testicles, no keel hauling, no waterboarding, no roasting on a bed of coals,no driping water on the head, no sleep deprivation, no swill to eat, no water or soap to bath with, no toilets, no bed to sleep on, nothing to read, no execrcise time, nothing to play with??????????

Well now, just what is this world coming to? Have we become barbarians? I am absolutely astonished that if there be just one person that believes we are treating these "People" in an undignified manner; that person or persons are totally, and I mean totally, divorced from reality! What a rediculous attitude that is! Absolute insanity!

This creep is represented by Anti-American lawyers, undoubtably with a lot of help from the George Soros groups, this pathetic lawsuit is aimed at once again showing what barbarians we AMERICANS are, it plays right into the hands of the International Red Cross and the demoncratic party agenda.

Notice how little play was given to the Jersey six, they just wanted to murder OUR SOLDIERS at Fort Dix, they have even been described as romantics, just nice guys who everyone next door loved, every effort will be expended to protect their rights, the best of Lawyers will be provided, the democrats will have operatives watching to make sure George Bush and the feared American Military do not harm them or deprive them in any way.

Meanwhile we know what the Islamic brothers of these evil basta---s did to OUR TROOPS the last time they captured some, and now we pray and fear for the three young AMERICANS now in their hands, watch and see how little time the major news organizations will spent on this story, they cannot afford to show these devils for what they really are.Hairy Reid and Pelosi after all love our enemies.

I know just the thing. Since he's so displeased with the western prison and it's horrible conditions we really should re-create identical prisons from his homeland. Complete with all of the "bennies" provided by the local sheik when enemy combatants or political scum were being held over for "trial". At least he could then feel like he was back in home, sweet home, again!

I didn't think of this previously, but the best idea I can come up with is making him watch cooking shows. you know the one's that emeril and a few other southern cooks have on tv where they mostly cook pork???

just show them all the one's with the pork cooking and see if they will vomit themselves to death!!!!! that would be entertainment enough for them!

Man, . . all these years I knew I was abused in Junior High School! When they made us all read that Scholastic publication the Weekly Reader where the closeted servicemen danced together to "Living is Without You" and the evil tales of the back alley coathanger abortions that Roe v. Wade was finally putting a stop to, . . I was being tortured! If reading drivel is torture, this guy's got nothing on me!

Maybe I should call a lawyer and have them shut down Scholastic. There would be a debate! Which is worse, Gitmo or Scholastic?

Gitmo detainies' definition of entertainment:
Murder innocent men, women and children, kill Americans and Jews, blow themselves up as suicide bombers, set fire to schools and churches, behead passerbys, slit throats of anyone they can catch.
I can understand their complaints for leading a dull life.

Has the MSM covered the fact that SEVEN of those released from Gitmo were later RECAPTURED in Afghanistan fighting with the Taliban again ?? NO NO !! What is wrong with this picture ?? No matter that they are sworn to KILL AMERICANS AND INFIDELS and would go right back to "work" if they were released !! And there are supposed "Americans" (lawyers) who want to make their "fortunes" in civil court defending these jihadists in civil court ?? Sickening to think we have so many of these people in and around our government....

Oh wait. That'd be torture for conservatives. For the muzzies at Gitmo that's Aid and Comfort.

We need to keep in mind that these aggregate IslamoFascist terrorists and their leaderships are quite sharp (both perceptively as well as knifingly physically) in the ways of the Western Democracies that they are working to destroy. We are not dealing with stupid people. And, as shown by their really smooth and manipulative actions in all respects at Gitmo, they act accordingly. As Iranian Leader Mahmoud Ahmedinejad has said, honestly, by the way, they do intend to destroy the the United States (as well as Israel), replacing the U.S. Constitution with Shar'ia Law, if they have to nuke out a few American cities to hammer home their point (and hopefully attain a response like Spain to just one Madrid train bombing)--as the Iranian Shiites are now headed while the West Vichy-Quislingly waits for it. At that point, it doesn't matter whether this is Sunni Wahhabbi Shari'a Law (as in al-Qaida, their schedule by the year 2020 a la Spiegal article (http://www.spiegel.de/international/0,1518,369448,00.htm l) ) or Shiite Hezbollah Shari'a Law. And for those of us who are American conservative women, you might be among the first to get your head slammed full of rocks from these terrorists. Folks, the signs of the times from the terrorists imprisoned at Gitmo should tell us that we need to get serious about national survival in all respects, more serious about our survival than their seriousness about killing us off. For those who have eyes to see (and ears to hear), let him/her see (and hear).

Their Qu'ran (Koran) has said that the infidel (including all of us--conservatives) can and should be lied to, and taken out (killed) as needed. All things go when it comes to their terrorist attainment of their goals. Fort Dix last week, remember? The 10 airplanes last year from Britain to the U.S., remember? 9-11, remember? London subway/double decker bombing, remember? etc, etc. These terrorists are true, and creative, to their own Book, the Gitmo prisoners are definitely no exception. As one of the postings (#19) from Whitetop well said, these Gitmo terrorists are going by their playbook. Newt Gingrich has said "The 1st Amendment Is Not a Suicide Pact: Blocking the Speech That Calls for Our Death" (http://www.gopusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=346 38) and neither should our culture be (or we will prove out true both the liberal Democrats and their IslamoFascist buddies of convenience). And they won't stop:
"Airplane terror rehersals" (http://michellemalkin.com/archives/000265.htm), "The John Doe Manifesto" (http://www.gopusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=374 06) (shielding airline passengers from Islamic suits, with lawyer resources listed). They won't stop until they are either totally defeated (either cease to exist, or like Walid Shoebat, former Palestinian terrorist, repented of their murderous ways and even go against them publicly as Mr. Shoebat is actively doing, or until we in America and in the entirety of the Western Democracies are totally defeated or under submission to them. (That, by the way is what the word, "Islam,"means: "Submission," their way.) (And as an irrevelant aside, that goes true for the Communists as well, whether Hugo Chavez knows it or not, in his hobnobbing with Ahmedinejad, but by that time, we Westerners would have been dead.) Feces on the Gitmo walls, as well as shot at the guards, is a very clear Muslim Arab cultural message for any American and Westerner who has the knowledge and the courage to learn how to read it.

It were well for us, as we can, to examine the Qu'ran, the Haddith, and other baseline Islamic documents in order to find out just fundamentally what we are dealing with, and get a handle on how to deal with this mortal threat on an individual citizen's level on our American nation, our way of life, and our Constitution. All of these are on-line, translated into English. If you don't believe one translation (suspecting tampering, PCing, deliberately dumbing down for us Westerners as a part of their terrorist psy ops), compare many translations on line--just like using the various Bible English translations from the original Ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koininoia Greek, for Christian believers (but for markedly differing reasons). We need to find out what separates these murderous IslamoFascists from the non-murderous truly peaceful Muslim American citizens, and know why the latter won't necessarily stand up, organizationally, let alone singly, to the former. We won't get that from the IslamoFascists' MSM friends either, who won't nessessarily publicize the anti-jihad Muslim organizations who do stand up publicly. There are any number of well-written books, articles, and treastises on this subject, on line and in print, authored by Steve Emerson, Brigitte Gabriel, Joel Rosenberg, R.C. Sproul, Walid Shoebat, Don McCurry, Ralph W. Stice, Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer, Ergun Caner, Walid Shoebat, Walid Phares, to name just a very few. Just a surf on these names would lead to other names and written material, and their on-line web sites. There have been good mp3 and visual-audio material produced on this IslamoFascist threat. Last week (Monday-Friday, May 14-18, 2007) Focus on the Family had Joel Rosenberg, Michael Youssef, and Senator Rick Santorum on (download at http://wava.oneplace.com/ministries/focus_on_the_family/Archives.asp 30 day archive). There's Glenn Beck's week long very incisive expose on IslamoFascist terrorism last November-December, and their veiled anti-American beliefs, while situated on American soil. We have to get educated; we have to properly name the enemy. "Terrorism" is a technique of warfare (low-tech IED by infancy-trained totally brainwashed suicide bombers), just like "blitzkrieg" is a technique of mechanized warfare. IslamoFascism and their adherants are the enemy, just like the Nazis were (and still are) the enemy.

We can rant all we want, making our citizens' verbal insinuations and threats which are just laughed at by the IslamoFascist terrorists, but these IslamoFascist terrorists are deadly serious in taking us all (repeat ALL) out, whether murdering us or enslaving us a la "dhimmitude" (look that word up on line-lots of info on this plus at least one anti-terrorist organization on the subject). And we, ourselves, better get real and serious about defending ourselves, starting first by getting the knowledge that we need in order to defend ourselves. If the liberals and Democrats wish to pursue their suicidal course with these terrorists, we conservatives don't have to follow them to our own deaths neither do we need to poison our minds with their MSM (except to guage the current degree of suicide of the liberal stance). We have more than enough fifth column IslamoFascist organizations in this country, with terrorist cells in every city (public knowledge), and with open public organizations like CAIR, more than enough infiltration into the federal government "Cair gets airport security tour" (http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ ID=51573), "CAIR: Islamists Fooling the Establishment by Daniel Pipes and Sharon Chadha Middle East Quarterly Spring 2006" (http://www.meforum.org/article/916), "Steven Emerson-American Jihad: The Terrorists Living Among Us" (http://iona.ghandchi.com/emerson.htm), including inside the FBI "Feds (i.e., FBI, Defend Partnership With Islamic Group Under Scrutiny" (http://www.cnsnews.com/Nation/Archive/200701/NAT20070116a.html), to deal with. You might wonder and ask, am I ranting? I'd like to say that my evaluation here, and implications, of the clever and sharp Gitmo prisoner behavior constitutes a conservative call to survival action.

As mentioned above, there are American Muslim organizations that appear to be anti-terrorist as well. These need to be verified (by us individual conservative American citizens) and if so, supported. I've heard of them, on Janet Parshall's America or on Don Kroah (http://www.wava.com), but don't have their websites handy (anyone?).

Finally, since our country still is a representative democracy, and we still have an option (for how long?) to chose our destiny. We need to take action, at all levels of government. Original Rebel, for example, has alerted us to a bill in Congress a little while back to defend ourselves against lawsuits from IslamoFascist organizations seeking to turn our own laws against us. See OR's Forum thread "ACTION ALERT: Regarding HB 1640" (http://www.gopusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=374 19). H.R. 1640 is designed to defend us American citizens from such lawsuits. You can look up this bill in Thamas' http://thomas.loc.gov/. And on OR's thread, I reported that Speaker Nancy Pelosi last week intended to deep six the bill (benefitting her IslamoFascist buddies). I also noted that in the past month, only 5 Congress Critters signed up for co-sponsorship for a total of ONLY 22. The liberal Democrats got way lot more co-sponsorship for their blatantly unConstitutional anti-conservative legislation. Let's get that bill read (text is short) and supported from our individual conservative grass roots basis by a lot more co-sponsorships, even from enlighted Democratic Congress Critters. This kind of action is the measure of whether we individual conservatives are for real about our talk and rants or just blowing useless air!!! This is the real bottom line.

continued....

There are other bills that we individual conservative grass roots can get our Reps and Senators, both federal and state levels to initiate sponsorship and co-sponsor support. There are other laws that we can have continually supported--like the Patriot Act. It is so easy nowadays to e-mail our feedback accountability to our Reps and Senators, our President and Governors, at all levels of government, including local, and it is just about as easy to call them.

GOPUSA has an excellent "Online Activist" to do so, plus a MegaVote to e-mail monitor our Rep and Senators' voting and upcoming legislation. We can save a lot of our "Rant" time in order to knucle down, find out the truth, take action, and encourage our fellow conservatives to do the same. This is a first rate Forum structure. Best I have ever seen. And we are Caesar; we can fire our reps (recall or end-of-term un-electing) as we will, almost like Caesar (that is, under law--and can change that recall law and get pro-bono legal support to keep those changes there).

And then, elections matter, elections have consequences. We've seen that from these past nearly 5 months in the liberal Democrat controlled Congress. We'll have 19 more months to get this lesson driven home hard to our conservative psyches. And it just might matter, mortally, to us Americans in November 4, 2008, if the terrorist trends, and the associated behavior trending of their liberal Democrat allies in Congress and the state houses, are any indication. We conservative citizens need to participate in our own self-governance as a lifestyle as if our lives depend on it, both short as well as long term. Because, judging from only just Gitmo, nowadays, it does. As Brigitte Gabriel wrote on her organizational web site home page, "A message from the President and Founder Brigitte Gabriel" (http://www.americancongress fortruth.org):
If we don't win the war against Islamofascism other issues won't matter at all.

We won't have an economy to worry about.
We won't have equal rights for all.
We won't have our cherished freedom.
And we will live under Sharia Law.
The enemy loves death -- far more than we love life.

The enemy uses children as human bombs, mothers as suicide bombers, men driven by the glory of death and the promise of eternal sexual bliss in heaven...and martyrdom on earth. This is the enemy reality: murder and death of "infidels" by any means for the glory of Allah. Many of us conservatives already know this.

So are we serious about defending ourselves against these IslamoFascist terrorists, as quite well represented by these Gitmo prisoners and their antics--starting first by actively getting and supporting legislation in Congress and laws to enable ourselves, our law enforcement, and our military to protect us, and opposing those that do not (liberal ones, usually)? Or, as Tom Clancy said in Red Storm Rising, do we "just offer opinions to relatives and friends?" (Vice Admiral Richard Pipes, COMSUBLANT, to Naval Reservist LTCDR Robert M. Toland.) And we will then follow the liberal Democrats into national suicide if we aren't serious.

Please do think it through my precious fellow conservatives and then act.

I say lets make them all happy by exterminating as many per person as we possibly can and then WE will be happy that we made them happy. I mean...isn't better to"Give" than to "Recieve?" Of course.
