Rejoice!
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.
Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail.
And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

Terri,
I logged in at 0744 and spent about an hour and a half composing what I thought was a very nice and humorous post. When I clicked preview post to double check for accuracy,it went away, and the log in screen came up.I logged back in and was unable to find my post.Is there any way you can locate it and submit same?
It was a good post as I described all about meeting Real Deal here in Boston and what a fun night we had.
Maybe the Precinct gremlins are attempting to tell me to wait for her to post first.
Is there any way you can find that post??

Do you dye eggs for Easter?***********
Used to. We'd dye eggs on Good Friday, and discuss what made this holiday so special. Frosted their father, he hates God, and didn't want any religious instruction. This is the first year we didn't dye eggs, my kids are growing up...
Do you buy new clothes for Easter?************u sed to.

At home.

My mother was Irish, so lamb was traditional. I do a leg o' lamb or just lamb chops if it's me and one kid.

All of them. I also believe in our Savior and that eventually...He will save the Democrats, despite themselves.
I am so excited, my older one is defying her dad and coming for Easter dinner! He won't be home, so she won't have to explain where she is/was. I haven't laid eyes on her in months, I hope she brings pics of her graduation party and prom.
Making leg O' lamb. I've got potatoes, so I'm making real baked potatoes, not nuked ones, asparagus for older and broccoli for younger, and dessert is a strawberry bavarian cream pie, Florida starberries were on sale at Publix and manoman they are good!
Happy B-day to all, I need to check the loungue, and see what kind of mess was left from last night, hope the jambalaya was eaten., If anyone wants a recipe for it, I'll post in recipes.....good stuff....it's NOT hot spicy, it's rich and good. You add the heat at table.

HAPPY EASTER!
"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone."
Thanks for a Risen Lord!
Now for Trivia:
1. If you attend church on Easter, what kind of service do you prefer?
Sunrise services, but today it's way too cold. I will attend the traditional inside services today.
2. Do you dye eggs for Easter?
My grandsons and I dyed a dozen eggs last night. They were brightly colored and had names and stickers on them. Today, those same eggs will become deviled eggs for our Easter get-together.
3. Do you buy new clothes for Easter?
No, that's a woman thing.
4. Does your family eat at home or do you go out for Easter?
Sometimes we have Easter at our house and sometimes at others. This year the celebration will be at my nephew's house.
5. Do you get an Easter lily or do you give an Easter lily?
Nope, again that's a woman thing.
6. If you eat at home do you have ham or are you a non-traditionalist?
I think we always have ham on Easter, but not real sure. I can tell you this, "I've never cooked one." :D
7. Do you decorate your house for Easter?
Ms. Papajaxxx puts out little ornaments and decorations, but nothing elaborate.
8. I've never been able to figure out what an "Easter egg roll is". Do you know?
The eggs that are decorated are made into a breakfast roll which you eat on Easter morning. [I just made that up, I really don't know what an Easter Egg Roll is.]
9. Do you believe in the Easter bunny? Tooth fairy? Santa Claus? Boogey man? Democrats?
Yes, to all. But, very few people know that the Boogey man and the democrats are two in the same. Most people are scared of both.
Have a blessed Easter! :wavey:

If you attend church on Easter, what kind of service do you prefer?
I'm missing church this year. I've only missed church twice before - the year I was pregnant with daughter (pre-eclampsyia - was hospitalized for nine weeks) and last year when I had to rush my Mom to the ER. I confess I'm just too tired this year. Sounds lame I know, but it's the reality. I'll go again next year.
Do you dye eggs for Easter?
I did until the kiddies grew up and moved out. Just waitin' for grandkids now.
Do you buy new clothes for Easter?
Yes, but again, not this year. Besides, pastel isn't practical with a foot of snow!
Does your family eat at home or do you go out for Easter?
We're eating at daughter and son-in-laws house. Mine is too messy, so we struck a deal. She cleans house and I'll make most of the food. Which is one of the reasons I'm missing church.
Do you get an Easter lily or do you give an Easter lily?
Gave lilies to both my Mom and Mom-in-love.
If you eat at home do you have ham or are you a non-traditionalist?
We're doing a nice brunch this year. Easier to transport and we like the food better.
Do you decorate your house for Easter?
Sort of. I hauled out a box with Easter stuff in it. It's still sitting in my kitchen, unpacked.
I've never been able to figure out what an "Easter egg roll is". Do you know?
Is this like a Chinese egg roll. Sounds like it could be yummy.
Do you believe in the Easter bunny? Tooth fairy? Santa Claus? Boogey man? Democrats?
Aren't the last two sort of the same? Actually, none of them belong to the real world.
Oh my. . . . . how I missed doing Trivia for all these weeks/months.
Big article on the front page of our local newspaper today about our Lincoln Day Dinner. You can go to www.hollandsentinel. com to read all about it! Our ticket sales are slumping compared to previous years. Michigan's economy is so bad, plus we lost a tough gubernatorial election in November. Everyone seems down in the dumps. . . . . thus no one is particularly interested in attending anything political. Hopefully the article (front and center - WOW!) will help us a little.
Have a great day everyone.
Oh, and Danny - I'm sorry I missed your birthday. Not very polite of me - MIA for a long time and then forgetting my manners.
Tsk tsk

I'm sorry but there is no way to find your post.
This happens to me periodically, and I resolve it in my mind, that the post was not meant to be posted, and I let it go without trying to re-create it.
It makes me feel better to think that everything happens for a reason. Is that true? Don't know, but it makes me feel better. :D

Good morning...God's richest blessing on you and your families...and the US. If you don't know what Easter is all about...the ANSWER is as close as a whispered prayer...just do it!
1. If you attend church on Easter, what kind of service do you prefer?
any that declare the Lord Jesus Is Risen as a testimony to His being alive and at the right hand of God Almighty right this moment...and waiting for His 2nd triumphal entry...
2.Do you dye eggs for Easter?
no...but ironically we're having "deviled" eggs for dinner
3.Do you buy new clothes for Easter?
not usually...
4.Does your family eat at home or do you go out for Easter?
usually at home
5. Do you get an Easter lily or do you give an Easter lily?
not unless it's chocolate
6.If you eat at home do you have ham or are you a non-traditionalist?
non-traditionalist
i don't think the earliest christians ate much ham
7. Do you decorate your house for Easter?
no...but i should...before it's declared "hate speech"...or offensive to islam
8. I've never been able to figure out what an "Easter egg roll is". Do you know?
I'm not sure but... it involves assuming a posture similar to the democrat response to terrorist dictators
9.Do you believe in the Easter bunny? Tooth fairy? Santa Claus? Boogey man? Democrats?
Boogymen and dims are the same thing... and a big part of the reason for the season.

I think it's just a simple technical problem and not really fate. :D
When the box next to the username is checked it sets a cookie on your own computer that remembers you are logged in. Without that cookie your login expires in a few minutes.
If your post is long and will take you awhile to type you can type it in Notepad on your own computer and then copy and paste it here.

I think it's just a simple technical problem and not really fate. *Yeah but it's just so much more dramatic to pass it off to fate. And then it gets really spooky. The Internet is eternally omnipotent. That message is out there, floating around nebulously in the ether, sad and lost, ever looking for a home, waiting for... OK, OK, I quit. Happy Easter all.

http://www.mountainsnmore.n et/gopusa/trivia/8.gif I've never been able to figure out what an "Easter egg roll is". Do you know?
OK, you guys, I finally went and looked it up. In this country it's a race where a kid with a long-handled spoon pushes an egg through the grass until it goes over a finish line. I couldn't find out if the kid gets a prize or gets to eat the :egg: or throws it at someone. That seems to be a National Secret. Oh darn, silly me, I should have e-mailed Sandy Burglar about this. I just know he'd have been able to find out!
Another little goodie on this topic that I'd never heard of:
FDR discontinued the egg rolls at the White House but DDE brought them back and guess what?
Mamie Eisenhower insisted that black kids had to be allowed to participate! Good on you, Mamie!! One more in the Republican column when it comes to equal rights.
That's a good one for Easter, isn't it?

Good Morning, Ya'll,
BillyT--good to see you back in here--I think you ought to redo that post and not keep us in suspense. :D
Would ya'll believe it's 43 in South Texas--went from 68 yesterday morning to 43 last night and still is and it feels like 35. I don't think it was this cold in the dead of winter.
Reckon, if we didn't already, we certainly know WHO controls "climate change" now, don't we? I am so cold and I have all my heaters on--if ya'll don't think that 43 is cold, you don't live in S. Tx.
HAPPY Easter to all of you--just wondering, did any of you look at the Easter video I posted the other day?

I had my normal spiritual experience that I have every day that I wake.
I don’t dye eggs because I have a whole herd of Easter bunnies that lay more than I can hide.
I don’t buy clothes for Easter because I already have three pairs of pants and several shirts.
I don’t remember Easter being a big meal day when I was a kid but the wife likes to have a big meal here for as many people as she can get to come.
I see some tulips on the table?
We are having brisket.
I have seen an Easter egg roll but not far before a kid grabs it.
When the kids were young the wife would take them to church and I would hide the eggs. When they got back I would be in a bunny induced coma. I have never heard of such a thing but the wife thought it was fun.

Trivia:
1. If you attend church on Easter, what kind of service do you prefer?
I love attending the Easter Vigile Mass
2. Do you dye eggs for Easter? No.
3. Do you buy new clothes for Easter? No.
4. Does your family eat at home or do you go out for Easter? Home
5. Do you get an Easter lily or do you give an Easter lily? No.
6. If you eat at home do you have ham or are you a non-traditionalist? Ham
7. Do you decorate your house for Easter? No.
8. I've never been able to figure out what an "Easter egg roll is". Do you know?
Yes, it is where the children take a spoon and use it to help roll and egg over the finish line. The adult version usually entails a raw egg.
There is also an egg carry, where a raw egg is placed on a spoon with the handle of the spoon placed in your mouth and you carry over the finish line without dropping the egg.
9. Do you believe in the Easter bunny? Tooth fairy? Santa Claus? Boogey man? Democrats?
I believe in none of the above, especially the Democrats.

Billie T and papajaxxx, in addition to Terri’s suggestion, I do my post in Word to take advantage of the spell checker.
Then I copy and paste to my Post and sometimes add Smilies.
If the Post disappears, I have the original on my Puter and I can copy and paste without all the retyping.
I really like to read the great Posts like Saturday’s comments on Rosie on The Loft at GOPUSA AND Today in the Precinct.

Happy Easter all,
Got to watch the Grandkids hunt Easter eggs today, one of my greatest joys. The pleasure a colored boiled egg can bring a kid is amazing. I never have understood what hunting died eggs really have to do with Easter but maybe it is just so we adults can see joy on the little faces that are our blessings. We celebrate a Blessed Holy day by bringing joy to our other blessings.

Danny, please accept my humble apology--I should have double-checked before I said anything, so I repeat, I'm sorry--but, at least, I got your attention. We miss you when you aren't here, youngun.
Danny, you will have to forgive Stormy - at her age she might have diminished acuity:granny: Probably had misplaced her glasses.
DannyD, will you tell John that I haven't worn glasses since I've been in my second childhood--actually, at 39, you don't need them--he better hope he lives as long as I have. :laff:
A5Mag12, I love the way you said that--just makes a person see those little ones happy faces in one's mind's eye.
PapaJaxxx, you quoted part of a song this morning that is one of my very favorite songs and a lifesaver for me! "Because He Lives". The first time I heard it, I was going through a really bad time and I remember the words so vividly, even now, that just spoke to me through the song and I decided I could do anything "Because He Lives" that I had to!! More than you wanted to know, I'm sure.
Ya'll have a good evening.

I attend. I have no particular preference but must admit that I wouldn't be too good at a sunrise service unless I got there the night before and just stayed up!

Not these days, but Mom let us waste eggs when we were growing up. I have a lot of fun memories of making colored eggs.

Not anymore.
http://www.mountainsnmore.n et/gopusa/trivia/4.gif Does your family eat at home or do you go out for Easter? :cooking:
Traditions all kind of went out the window with my mother's passing. Last year I went out to dinner with my sister, her kids and her in-laws. This year we had brunch after church at her brother-in-law's house. It was very nice to have something casual to do this year vs. the fancy dinner at a country club last year.

Not today, but I could have if I'd gone to my niece's house where my brother and his family went. I stopped by after taking flowers to my parent's grave and my niece fed me ham & mashed potatoes & corn & cooked carrots. She had a nice dessert of whipped cream & fresh fruit atop a shortcake. I kinda got the best of both worlds although I missed the rest of the family as they'd all gone home by the time I got there.

Trivia time
1. If you attend church on Easter, what kind of service do you prefer?
***** Sorry to say, didn't make it this year. My usual trait tho, is to go early - avoid the rush!
2. Do you dye eggs for Easter?
***** Not any more; I leave it to the grands moms and dads. I did my time. But it WAS fun of course.
3. Do you buy new clothes for Easter?
***** Used to spend weeks sewing outfits for myself and the kiddos. We looked mighty spiffy back then and no one else had anything like us!
4. Does your family eat at home or do you go out for Easter?
***** Depends on who feels like cooking. My family is so scattered, it's pretty hard to keep up the old traditions.
5. Do you get an Easter lily or do you give an Easter lily?
***** Used to, but again, everybody is somewhere else.
6. If you eat at home do you have ham or are you a non-traditionalist?
***** Ham with pineapple; glorified rice; yams, mashed potatoes with gravy, lots of fresh dipping veggies, hot cornbread with butter and honey, and banana cream pie. (Oops, just mouth-watered all over my keyboard.)
7. Do you decorate your house for Easter?
***** Only when eggs were decorated, a bowl of them were usually on the dining table.
8. I've never been able to figure out what an "Easter egg roll is". Do you know?
***** An Easter egg roll is (at least from my neck of the woods) when you get the kids together and line them up with colored eggs at their feet, then they get down on all fours and roll them WITH THEIR NOSES to a set finish line. Various prizes were awarded to the winners (usually the first three to make it all the way).
9. Do you believe in the Easter bunny? Tooth fairy? Santa Claus? Boogey man? Democrats?
***** No to all the above. Nobody can believe the Demoncraps since they are two-faced, hypocrit liars!
Good trivia. Fun, fun, fun.

I'm baa-aack!!
How did you all do without me for so long?... BREAK'S OVER!! http://bestsmileys.com/whipping/4.gif
Second:
During these seemingly dark political times: on this Easter day, it does my heart well to remember Romans 8:31-39 (http://www.blueletterbible. org/kjv/Rom/Rom008.html#34)... and Job 19:25-27 (http://www.blueletterbible. org/kjv/Job/Job019.html#25) Amen!!!
Third:
I will wait till RD gets home and settled and submits some thing, then perhaps I can sneak in a few lines.
I'll just leave with this one little tidbit. When we walked into one of the upscale seafood resturants in Boston, all eyes went to the vavacious auburn haired beauty from the left coast :D

Sunrise service... although did not attend any service this year... outta town. Didn't wanna go to strange church, etc...
http://www.mountainsnmore.n et/gopusa/trivia/2.gif Do you dye eggs for Easter? :egg:
Nope... don't like hard boiled eggs that much and hate to waste them. I buy those plastic eggs that I put "goodies" in (small toys and candies), and hide them.

Neither.
http://www.mountainsnmore.n et/gopusa/trivia/6.gif If you eat at home do you have ham or are you a non-traditionalist? :turkey1: :blksheep: :elefant2:
Usually traditional. Sometimes not... depends on whose house we are going to and what they desire. But the food is not as important as the holiday, and the people.
