These things always remind me of my visit to the Oshkosh Public Museum several years ago when they featured an exhibit "On the Home Front", all about the contributions of those back here during WWII, and the soldiers from this area who served.
They had about a half-dozen huge album-scrapbooks filled with articles about local boys who served overseas. I noticed one guy right away who was from the same street I live on, and would have lived just across the cross-street. I forget his name, but let's call him James Wagner.
The first article was about James Wagner, volunteering to serve his country. I started looking for articles about him through all the books. I found several. When he finished boot camp. When he received his first orders. As he received promotions, commendations, and medals. Every time he would be transferred or assigned, or promoted - an article would appear in the local paper. It was really neat to follow through on a guy who was well-decorated in WWII. I got through the books and moved on to the next exhibit.
Wouldn't you know, there was another article about James Wagner! This one accompanied by a letter from a general. The letter read something like, "Dear Mr. and Mrs. Wagner, We regret to inform you that you have given the supreme sacrifice to the cause of freedom and service to your country. Your son, James Wagner, was killed in action serving his country abroad. We can never be grateful enough for the heroic service of your son ... etc. etc." The newspaper clipping described how, in a tank, he threw himself on a grenade, saving the lives of the rest of the men in the tank (much like my uncle John Sexton did, except he survived, using his helmet to cover the grenade).
I wept right there in the museum. Earlier that same day, January 20th, a draft-dodging coward named Clinton put his hand on a Bible and swore to uphold the Constitution. Here, I'm reading about a kid on my own block who threw himself on a grenade to save his compatriots, while a military-loathing, lying, immoral, perverted coward had somehow become President.
Maybe that will help some of you understand why I HATE politicians who send our kids to their deaths fighting for the UN/NWO instead of the U.S. - Democrat or Republican.
