You hate them because they're stupid? Errr, right. :chdance
Simply put, Macs are better. I'm a lifelong PC user, now switching over.
Macs don't have the problems of spyware, viruses, or any of that. They're totally solid in the security respect. They don't have the constant crashes, blue screens of death, and just annoying oddities of windows.
And if you absolutely need Windows, you can use Parallels or Bootcamp to run Windows on your Mac when you need it, alongside OSX.
And Macs are just way cooler, too. I love the design of the iMac...it's hard to believe that en entire, powerful computer is packed into that 24" monitor. Very sleek, very cool. --and they work very well.

Well, they also don't have the software selection of Windows either. But I agree, the OS is built from the ground up on a GUI and provides more stability.
but you gotta love that i tunes...
.99 cents for a DRM-laden .aac format unusable on any other mp3 player? No way, Boston.
iTunes being the only option for music management would actually be a reason I would never use a Mac. Luckily there are other options that have emerged recently.

You don’t have to buy your music from the Itunes store to listen to in Itunes. The Cds that you have will import nicely into Itunes. All you have to do is just drag the Cd icon into the window that is on the left hand side of the player and voila the Cd is imported. You can also choose the file tag that you want the file tag to be, ie .Mp3 .m4a (AAC).wav .aiff and lossless.

Itunes is also available for Windows. Unfortunately it is not available for Vista. You can get it here Itunes (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/) Just follow the instructions and you will have it working in no time

Well, they also don't have the software selection of Windows either.
But that's almost completely rectified by parallels and bootcamp. You can run Windows on a Mac, so you can also run Windows software. Problem solved.

Absolutely never mind that Macs were the better machine long before ITunes was ever even an idea! Their popularity had/has nothing whatsoever to do with ITunes.
I use Windows-based computers because of monetary limitations. But if I could afford one, I'd certainly own a Mac!
Notice BM drops his load and never comes back to reply to any response. I guess the more outrageous the claim, the more fun he has. Of course, marxists always like to deal in fantasy as the reality of marxism is a nightmare.

I think you're correct, Speedway. BM simply drops his load and runs. I think he's trying everything to see what it will take to get him banned from :gopusa:
I wonder if Terri has ever banned anyone because they were totally boring??

Stan, my point was that if iTunes was the only option for music on a Mac that I'd have to stick with Windows. :nahna:

Actually, Apple's current success and availability in the US... no, make that GLOBAL market is due to the success of the iPod. Apple was suffering a slow death due to not licensing their hardware, and when they finally did try to "clone", it was too late, and the competition couldn't make it cheaper than Apple did.
The iPod brought the Apple back into the consumer household instead of the graphic and music institutions where they were primarily found. iPod was released only for Macs, originally. I do like Macs. I can't stand iPods, but I do credit them for what they did for Apple as a whole.
Who wants to bet that Boston works at an Apple Mall Store? :p
