Jimmy Carter brings a Christian perspective to the Israeli-Palestinian dispute. Unfortunately, it is the same Christian perspective as a drunken Mel Gibson, obsessed with heaping blame on the Jews.
Yes, there are two sides to every dispute, and heaven knows the Palestinian people have suffered throughout the past six decades, but Carter apes the Palestinian position and calls it evenhandedness. He is such a rabid partisan that his next logical step after the publication of his rant of a new book, "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid," can only be to follow the example of the late Israel-hater Edward Said and be photographed throwing rocks at Israeli security forces.

"There he goes again." :)
Ronald Wilson Reagan
Jimmy Carter's epitaph, the terse and withering riposte to whatever nonsense President Peanut would ever spout, was delivered with devastating panache during a 1980 presidential campaign debate. To me, it is as memorable and as timeless as President Reagan's "tear down this wall" speech.
I find it therapeutic to avoid winging my hands whenever I read about Carter's self promotion and revisionist history; I just repeat those four uplifting words of Ronaldus Magnus.
Try it yourself sometime.

I knew he was a terrible President, but I did respect him for being a truly practicing Christian when he was building houses for Habitat for Humanity. If only he'd stuck to doing that. I guess he didn't feel he got enough publicity or something...?? Or has he truly gone mad, just like Nero? That's the only rational explanation I can come up with.

Now the ISG report, which appears to reflect Baker's world view, resurrects our fateful Cold War-era mistakes with proposals that would reward police states that have promoted chaos in Iraq: By turning to them hat in hand, Baker would further inflate the ambitions of Iran's radical regime while rewarding the cynical — and murderous — behavior of Syria's government. A policy of calculated confrontation would offer more hope — appeasement doesn't work anywhere, but it's especially counterproductive in the Middle East.
Astonishingly, the report seeks to tie the future of Iraq to a resolution of the Palestinian issue, thus wedding a terribly difficult problem to an intractable one. With Syria once again implicated in the assassination of Lebanon's democratic leadership, Baker would reward the Damascus government by pressuring Israel to hand over the Golan Heights (with his longstanding ties to Saudi Arabia, Baker appears to accept Riyadh's line that all of the region's problems are Israel's fault).

*Jimmy Carter and James Baker. Birds of a feather.

Jimmy Carter brings a Christian perspective to the Israeli-Palestinian dispute.
Evidently there are very few people in the world left who are NOT Christian. It is a word thrown around very loosely today.
Maybe the older he gets, he just lets everything out and doesn't care how it is taken. He probably has always been this way, just kept it more reserved in his earlier years.

I knew he was a wingnut way back when he gave the "lust in my heart" interview. :D

That combined with his battle with the killer rabbit swimming for his boat made me wonder if he'd gone :tinfoil:

The "wabbit" story & the "lust" story both put Jimmy into perspective. The Reagan line of "there he goes again" was so masterful!
Oh for Ronald Reagan again!
It is almost incomprehensible that so many of what are supposed to be our brightest political minds, could turn so against their own country, and then call it patriotism!
I am unsure what indoctrination program they have fallen prey to, but it sounds like it works!

Carter's inflammatory title accords with attempts to delegitimatize the existence of the Jewish state by equating Zionism with racism.
Simply speaks for itself. Carter is the RACIST! It's time people started identifying him for what he is! (Not to mention nutjob!)
"It is imperative," Carter writes, "that the general Arab community and all significant Palestinian groups make it clear that they will end the suicide bombings and other acts of terrorism when international laws and the ultimate goals of the Roadmap for Peace are accepted by Israel (http://www.townhall.com/columnists/RichLowry/2006/12/11/the_madness_of_jimmy _carter#)." In the meantime, presumably, the slaughter of Jews can continue.
This is so over-the-edge-nutjob!!! Why can't he make it clear that the general (or whole) Arab community should immediately stop any and all terrorist attacks such as suicide bombers? But then that's the same kind of tactics the left applauded when they were used by South Africans such as Nelson Mandela! I'm sure Carter would be all for making the worst terrorist the new president in "Palestine!"
Carter is helping only to extend the conflict with Israel and perpetuate Palestinian suffering, not to mention trash his own reputation.
As Mama used to say --- You can't go where you're already at!!!
(Trashing his reputation would be like setting fire to a building already burnt to the ground.)
