SARASOTA, Fla. (UPI) -- A Florida congressional candidate who lost by 369 votes has contested her district's vote count after 18,000 electronic votes were recorded as blank.
Democrat Christine Jennings, who state officials certified this week as losing to Republican Vern Buchanan, argues the state's new touch-screen voting machines had malfunctioned. She wants a judge to order a new election, The Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reports.
