DES MOINES, Iowa (UPI) -- Advisers and friends of Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack have said the Democrat has decided to run for his party's nomination in the 2008 presidential election.

Vilsack reportedly told those close to him that he will file the official paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission, making him the first official major candidate for the presidency, WHO-TV, Des Moines, reported Thursday.

If the Dems have a brain in their collective heads, they will run him. He's a moderate, but kinda soft on crime. His solution to the meth problem was to have people sign at the pharmacy, for sudaphed, a main ingredient in meth. One of whacko liberal friends, a political reporter wrote a piece called, "Tom Vilsack, the real head of the Iowa Republican party..."

I think, tho, he is far more electable than Hillary or Gore.

If the Dems have a brain in their collective heads, they will run him. If you can find one thinking brain, I'd be surprised.
