Headed back to our County Registrar office, the 130 county canvas is currently in progress. Officially as of 10:01 AM Sen Allen is down 7,046 votes, however....
In the county to our north they just 'found' a transpose error that nets Allen 1500 votes!!
We are NOT giving up, we will make certain EVERY vote is correctly counted!!

Heard on radio this am that there's several thousand absentee ballots yet to be counted.
Can't type with fingers crossed, but I'll say a novena or two.
Can't believe stupidity of voters - there should be a litmus test before they're even allowed near a polling place!

Not if the Dems have anything to do about it. Remember FL - they know that many of the absentee ballots are from Military personnel and likely Republican.

After President Bush stole two elections from the dems I expect that they feel justified in doing anything it takes to get the numbers they want. 90% of government workers are liberal so it wouldn’t be hard for they to stake the deck just enough to give this election to the dems.

That pretty much sums up the whole damm situation. I hope these so-called Republicans/conservative Demoncraps/Independents get exactly what they deserve ... They have just cut their noses off to spite their stupid faces because they want to "get back" at the Pres. What a bunch of idiots.
I heard yesterday morning on talk radio a soldier called in and said they had not received their "absentee" ballots yet. In fact, they hadn't been even mailed until the 6th!!!! Isn't THAT criminal, at least? Who do they think they are disallowing the very people who are fighting for our so-called (and ever restricted) freedom the ability to vote? I'm just so damm mad I could chew nails.

Does everyone realize that the requirements for overseas voting are set by the states?
Some liberal states make it more difficult than other states do.

If you look at the numbers, the races in most areas were very close. The turnout was low, about 40% of all eligible voters went to the polls. Hope the Pubs that stayed home are very proud of what they have wrought.
The Dems won in Montana, so everything hinges on the Virgina race who controls the Senate. Looks like the Dems swept the table this time.
AP is announcing that Jim Webb won over Allen. So we now have someone who writes smut at the least, and is a possible child and/or sexual predator joining other criminals on the Dem side of the aisle.
At least our side kicks them out when found. The Dems just keep reelecting theirs. :ugh:

Wisconsin requires a valid WI state driver's license or I.D. card. If you do not have either of these I.D.'s, use the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN).
Due to risks of identity theft, we advise that you keep to the 4 digits and do not enter your entire SSN.
If you have neither of these I.D.'s, then the state will issue you an identification number for voting purposes.
See all the requirements? Then down at the bottom you can use practically anything to prove you're a Wisconsin voter. The Democrats don't want the requirements changed because it would be too hard and would disenfranchise the elderly and the poor. :shake:
Also, the troops didn't get their ballots on time here because of the Sept. 12 primary. I voted against having the primary so darned late in the year at our district caucus last spring, but the votes to have it stay the same won out.
There is an exclusion in the law that ballots from overseas that arrive late may be counted after the election. Not too many people know about that law, though, because I just heard a discussion on talk radio yesterday between Charlie Sykes and a caller and her husband, who is in Iraq still didn't get his ballot and they were afraid he wouldn't be able to vote at all.
Thanks for the link Terri. Very informative.

Well I spent 10 hours on Wednesday and 5 hours on Thursday observing the prov. vote procedure, the canvas, etc. As far as states go, Virginia is probably one of the better ones for State Board of Elections overall. The vote was accurate I believe.
I've known George and Susan Allen for so many years, I am in shock and pain. Regardless of party or majority or anything else...a good man just got booted! In 20+ years of working in politics, including my time spent of the Hill, never has any election hurt so badly or so personally.
