NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (UPI) -- The mayor of a suburban San Diego city says he wants to turn his city into a "sanctuary city" for undocumented immigrants.

National City Mayor Nick Inzunza said the designation would forbid all city employees and law enforcement officers from inquiring into a person's immigration status and from enforcing federal immigration laws.

Others include Maywood, Pomona, Huntington Park and Coachella.

I don't know where Maywood is, but Pomona is a neighbor, Coachella is close, and Huntington park is a little bit farther away...

LOVELY!! /sarc

BTW~ I thought that Los Angeles was a sanctuary city too...

Can we say :moonbat1: he needs to get his :ostrich: out of the sand.
:pfft: :tearhair:

We have enough here in the US, that has expired Visa's, undocumented and or illegials.

We need to close our bordors awhile.
When you do not check on someones immigration papers you could be hiring terrorists that want to Kill us.

Then let's make sure those giving "sanctuary" get no federal funds for anything. Schools that don't meet a certain criteria for success get their federal funds withheld, so why not have the same for cities? :nahna: Then make sure the "sanctuary" feeds, clothes, and gives medical protection to all those illegals they take care of. :glare: Then we'll see just how far their humanitarianism extends. :angst:

This mayor went half way. If he wants to make a sancturary for those who break our laws, then the least he could do is give concealed weapons permits to the law abiding citzens so they can defend themselves against some of the criminals who will seek sanctuary.

A sanctuary for Illegals? I think this is a great idea! The INS can come in once a month and take them back to the border. The city will gather them up for us.
