I just finished reading a very interesting article on the "Family Security Matters" website by Jim Guirard.

We are using the Arabic words that support their misguided beliefs rather than the words for what they are.
We say "jihad" (holy war), and "jihadis" (self-anointed holy warriors) instead of:
irhab (eer-HAB) -- Arabic for terrorism, thus enabling us to call the al Qaeda-style killers irhabis, irhabists and irhabiyoun rather than the so-called "jihadis" and "jihadists" and "mujahiddin" they want to be called. (Here we are, five years into a Global War on Terrorism, and most of us do not even know the Arabic word for terrorism.)
Words DO mean something and when they hear us calling them "holy warriors" in their own language we give their cause credance.
