The fight to change a broken and rigged immigration law system is to say the least, a steep uphill battle.

The legislative is at this point, in stalemate, if tough laws (with funding for enforcement) are fortunate enough to be passed they would still have to be signed into law by a President that has so far shown not one bit of interest in anything tough on any illegal aliens.

Even if real enforcement gets passed the President. Past executive orders (thanks Billary) would nullify at least some of their effectiveness. Unless the current President overrules them (how likely is that)?

Whatever Laws that are on the books now and the toughest new enforcement laws possible would then be adjudicated by the Executive Office for Immigration Review.
With it's endless litigating further diluting any effectiveness and with not one care in this world for the intent of Congress or the American people.
The EOIR is only interested in the fair treatment of emigrants.

What do we have left as an effective weapon against illegal migration other than keeping a high level of pressure on our elected officials (they have the power to cut the red tape entangling those who would enforce our laws)? We absolutely still need to capitalize on the progress that pressuring our government has produced.

We still have a very powerful tool available; a tool used by trial lawyers to rake in billions, in fact the actions of liability lawyers is likely more powerful than the criminal court system in changing business and even national policy. The civil courts could make the difference.

In a country with millions of illegal hiring’s, trial lawyers (both large and small firms) could open this target rich environment. The bloodletting of illegal employers would indeed put a huge dent in the magnet drawing illegals to America.
The laws for recovering damages work exactly the same for businesses who have lost revenue to businesses that hire illegals as in any other liability situation.
In fact if damages can be proved in any illegal hiring scenario trial attorneys could see an opportunity for action.

Just ask the tobacco companys how effective damage litigation can be.
In my opinion, American citizens should be protected from the effects of illegal aliens not forced to adapt and darn sure not be forced to pay the associated costs.
It's absurd.
Maybe the consumer protection agency could get involved. I guess the eco damage isn't liberal trendy enough for the EPA to get in on it.
In the mean time, sue'em!
