Saddam Victim of 'Sectarian Persecution,' Says Ramsey Clark
CNS News
Just days before Saddam Hussein's trial defense is scheduled to begin, one of Saddam's lawyers - anti-war activist Ramsey Clark -- has called for the abolition of the Iraqi Special Tribunal that is hearing the case. Clark, who also served as U.S. attorney general in the 1960s, on Tuesday said the tribunal was guilty of "sectarian persecution."
Decades after he served as Democratic President Lyndon Johnson's top law enforcement officer, Clark now heads up the anti-war group, International A.N.S.W.E.R. (Act Now to Stop War & End Racism). He has also been a strong advocate for the impeachment of President George W. Bush.

There is nary an anti-American dictator Clark has not championed, from Kim Jong Il to Slobodan Milosevic," said Taranto.
"If I were Saddam Hussein, I would find a new lawyer -- one interested in defending me rather than bashing America," he added. "Of course, there is the possibility that Saddam's agenda is the same as Clark's."

James Taranto's words are much kinder than mine.

Yes, Ramsey Clark, you are right. Bush is only doing this for his own self-servitude and to punish Saddam.
How did you figure it out while others are totally in the dark. You are such a prophetic and intelligent man who can see what others cannot see.
Ramsey Clark, the great visionary!

The Commodore & his Lady unto the Forum: greetings.
What the Commodore would say to Clark is not printable, even in Hustler.
Clark can rant and rave all he wants, all the way to when he shares the same block with Insane, when they are being executed by orders of the Iraqi Special Tribunal. It is not acceptable to Clark (too bad for him); he would be better off if he got a quick bullet in the back of his head by order of the Tribunal.
As for Insane, his demise should be live & in dying colour on CNN, Fox, and all media including the Internet.
Ah, it's always so nice to hear from foreign policy geniuses like Ramsay Clark, Jimmy Carter, Madeleine Albright, Ted Turner et al. If I had a dog as dumb as any of them when it comes to foreign policy it'd make a one way trip to the vet. Most dogs will defend their own territory, which is more than can be said for any of the above and most of the whacko left in this country. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

So Ramsey Clark has just said he is a bleeding heart liberal. Yea, and the guy who hammered to death three convenience store workers is getting another -- THE THIRD -- trial because he might not be the brightest bulb in the group. What a crock!! How many ways and how many times can lawyers make a mockery out of our judicial system?

And the law, and the law abiding citizens of the world are persecuted by Ramsey Clark. The American Communist Lovers Union must hold him in the same kind of regard as the North Vietnamese hold Lurch; they're both heroes.

How did I miss this? I knew he was affiliated with them but didn't know he was the head of this anti-American group. Anti-war, BS!! It's as anti-American as it gets!
I don't even have the words to express the deep disgust I feel for this man. I believe if I ever saw him in person, I'd vomit!
