Greetings all,
Please contact your politicians, congressman, senators in regards to there disregard for what American is and let them know that giving Amnesty isn't the answer to the many illegal that are in this country. We need comprehensible legislation that works for both parties, granting Amnesty is bad for you and bad for the American people. Contact your Congressman/Senator and also send a message to our President and tell him amnesty in any form is wrong and not acceptable by the American people.
Act Now!
Thanks,

I have called, faxed, and emailed and none of it seems to be doing any good. They are not listening to the majority.
It's taxation without representation!
I'm ready to organize a little protest around burning a Mexican flag and see if that gets their attention.
If they want to be American so bad why are they waving Mexican flags in L.A.? And if they are the backbone of our agricultural and construction industry why didn't the economy come to a hault on the day they protested? Turns out only 24% of ag. workers are illegals...so the other 3/4, a majority, are legal or natural born Americans.

I probably make 150-200 calls a week to Washington, D.C. Thank God for unlimited long distance. My own Congressman Norwood is a strong advocate of enforcement, and my Senators, Isakson and Chambliss, seem to be on the same page.
So I call EVERYBODY else. I pat the good ones on the back and the rest get a piece of my mind. I especially enjoy ripping to shreds the specious arguments I get from staffers who know less about the issue than their Senators.
I had some guy today at the U.S. Chamber trying to tell me we 'needed' these people to build our homes and pick our crops. When he said that I almost laughed in his face. I said, "The cost of labor in fresh fruits and vegetables is about 10% of their price, correct?" He agreed so I said, "That means if a grower had to pay an American DOUBLE what he pays an illegal, the price would rise 10%, so stop trying to scare me with stories of $6 a head lettuce.
I tackled home construction next. I told him that in the last 15 years, REAL wages in construction have fallen 30-50%, adjusted for inflation. If labor was such a big part of housing prices, why hasn't the selling price of homes gone down? He couldn't answer that one either.
He did said the economy would collapse if we didn't have them, so I reminded him that those very arguments were used historically to promote slavery and child labor. Again, he was stupified.
I finally told him that I hoped he could sleep well at night after selling out fellow citizens in the name of the Almighty dollar. Somehow I got the impression he wouldn't.

Awesome.
As to those who say "why bother it isn't doing any good".
The reason "why bother" is that it is the fate of your country, the fate of mankind, and the fate of the planet that hang in the balance.

The illegal aliens that were in the planned protest marches should have been apprehended and deported. They could have used buses and the national guard to accomplish this. I wish someone would plan a march of protest against these invaders. I am homebound so I am unable to do so. Anyone out there able to do this? Now is a good time while this is debated on the Senate floor!
McCain said those protests made a differnce in getting senators to agree to his ungodly bill! Obviously the sentators could care less how citizens feel. It's time to be loud and clear about both illegal and H-1b workers (high tech) not being wanted or needed!

Great idea, Terri, and the very LEAST anyone can do who loves their country. These 'elected officials' serve at the whim of their constituents. If those constituents would 'ring 'em off the hooks', we MIGHT be able to STOP this fiasco.
Dial 'til your fingers bleed, type until they stop. Anything less is not good enough. Do you want your kids to inherit THIS MESS?

I have called, faxed and signed petitions until I'm blue in the face. I just don't know what else to do as it's like screaming in an empty room! Politicians think Americans are too stupid to know what they really mean when they deny they're voting for amnesty but always add that they only want to do the right thing by bringing these people out of the shadows. I don't know what shadows they've been seeing, but I see them quite clearly wherever I go. These law breaking criminals are very bold and rude and refuse to speak English. Their kids don't learn until they start school because they never hear it from parents or family.

So have I. I do not feel my efforts are wasted. They do hear us, but they hear from the 'other side' too. We just have to be diligent and keep the pressure on them.
Changes aren't done overnight, it takes time.

Frist wants Senate vote on immigration bill by week's end
Associated Press
WASHINGTON — Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said today he wants a full Senate vote on an immigration bill this week and believes that urgent action is needed despite sharp divisions over whether proposed legislation would amount to amnesty.
"There are 3 million people every year coming across our borders illegally. We don't know who they are; we don't what their intentions are. We absolutely must address it," said Frist, R-Tenn. "I hope by Friday that we will have a bill on the floor that is comprehensive."
....
The Senate Judiciary Committee last week approved a bill aimed at strengthening enforcement of U.S. borders, regulating the flow into the country of so-called guest workers, and determining the legal future of the illegal population scattered across all 50 states.
The Senate version, which passed 12-6 in committee and was broadly endorsed by President Bush, goes further than the House bill that imposes criminal penalties, proposes building a fence along the borders and is limited to enforcement.
...
"I don't think we should legislate a track that gives a privileged status to people who broke the law," Frist said. "If somebody is here and they're a felon or multiple misdemeanors or somebody who is not working, someone who has been here for a year ... yes, I think they'd have to go back home."[/QUOTE]

That website is dedicated to portraying the worst and most rabid faction of illegal immigrants and you say it is not racist?
Is Malcolm X an accurate portrait of all Blacks?
