CNN) -- A federal task force seized arsenals of illegal weapons and homemade bombs in Laredo, Texas, in connection with a Mexican drug trafficking battle, authorities said Friday.
The feds captured more than 30 homemade bombs, grenade components, assault weapons, silencers, machine gun assembly kits, bulletproof vests, police scanners and cash, Julie Myers, assistant secretary of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said in a statement.
Two of the bombs had been completed and others were under assembly, said officials from the task force that involved Immigration and Customs Enforcement, FBI, local authorities and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Isn't that special!?!
The article goes on to say that they found the weapons on three different dates. That suggests that it was three different caches.
I wonder how many caches they have not found?

There is no doubt we need secure borders. Yet,
In a poll on pollingreport.com about immigration, I found this and thought it was revealing on why a bill that pleases voters is going to be hard to find.

How can you have over 70% want them to get to stay and 50% want them deported?
Who were they polling? However, there is a lot of sympathy apparently for illegals. It is as if they totally seperate illegals from the terrorism and the need for a secure border.
One could almost think they want a closed border for terrorists and yet, still let the illegals come in for work. Soundls like voters, or at least these that were polled, don't really understand the seriousness of the cost of illegals and are only really concerned about the border regarding terrorism.
Does anyone have a poll that asks some specific questions about drugs, gangs, illegals, how much they think illegals are costing them?
About the same numbers are at NumbersUSA but they have a question about whether or not iillegals take jobs Americans would take. Only 36% think they take jobs Ameicans would do to 56% think they take jobs Americans won't do with 8% that say "depends" and "don't know."
I find that hard to believe here in Phoenix with the need for constuction workers that are getting good pay. However, the point is that voters are not supporting people like Tom Tancredo nearly enough.
The longer that the public doesn't support a tough policy, the more likely these gun caches, tunnels, and drugs will continue to be a problem. I am amazed at how the Democrats can call for a tough stand on the borders and obstruct that stand and get away with it among the voters.
