View Full Version : Who Is Lying About Iraq?

What makes this charge so special is the amazing success it has enjoyed in getting itself established as a self-evident truth even though it has been refuted and discredited over and over again by evidence and argument alike. In this it resembles nothing so much as those animated cartoon characters who, after being flattened, blown up, or pushed over a cliff, always spring back to life with their bodies perfectly intact. Perhaps, like those cartoon characters, this allegation simply cannot be killed off, no matter what.
Nevertheless, I want to take one more shot at exposing it for the lie that it itself really is. Although doing so will require going over ground that I and many others have covered before, I hope that revisiting this well-trodden terrain may also serve to refresh memories that have grown dim, to clarify thoughts that have grown confused, and to revive outrage that has grown commensurately dulled.

Thanks for posting that, Frou. Sent it to a lefty friend of mine from down under. Seems like every time I send him something about the necessity of our invasion out come the same old lies. No matter how many boulders get dropped on Wile E. Coyote, he's OK in the next scene, and I've dropped some whoppers on his arguments.
I do have a bit of a theory on this, however, at least regarding some of the moonbat left. They'd truly become almost clinically depressed if they were to acknowlege the gravity of the evil we face. I know my friend Ian would be one of them as he's just short of openly telling me so.

Scotty, that message is growing within me every day, almost like a tumor.
I've been surfing all morning looking for some credible piece re: "Bush lies" and it's amazing how I can barely find anything! This piece came from yahoo - I'm trying to wean myself off google!

Good article, Frouf. There was one similar to it, or perhaps the same one a year or so ago in the forum, which I printed out and which since has sunk into a black hole. I'll have to do 'er again, I guess.
I'm glad he has the footnotes. I did read the president's State of the Union speech in which he said we couldn't wait until the threat was imminent and read Bill Clinton's speech in WaPo in which he stated categorically there were WMDs, biological, nuclear and gas.
The whole boiling lot of them are out and out liars. Baron Munchausen could take lessons from at least half of the Democrat party.

Thanks for posting this FrouFrou. *I've been trying to learn more and more about this and your good findings to this article has brought me a lot of ammunition when trying (and I do mean trying) to communicate *logic with the left. *However, that being said, I think that last sentence was an oxymoron LOL ~
Thanks again!
