Toogood Reports Tuesday, January 14, 2003

Thereīs a reason that CBS, NBC and ABC evening news shows have literally lost millions of viewers. People donīt trust them any more.

I was reminded of this when I read the recently published softcover edition of Bernard Goldbergīs bestselling book, Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News. If you havenīt read it yet, you should. Goldberg got in hot water when his opinion editorial on the way the news is slanted nightly by Dan Rather led to his being let go by CBS after nearly thirty years of being one of their star correspondents. His crime was revealing the truth that countless &quot;ordinary Americans&quot; had suspected or known for years.

Thatīs why these same folks had abandoned the networks to listen to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Roger Hedgecock and TVīs Bill OīReilly, and the other conservative talk show hosts who are giving them the news they want, not the news the media elites in New York think they should believe. Itīs the reason that George W. Bush is president and why the Republican Party again controls Congress; a consolidation of power that hasnīt occurred since Eisenhower was president.

AMEN TO YOUR POSTING. I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME A WATCHED A ABC, CBS OR NBC NEWS BROADCAST. WHEN CNN CAME AROUND IT WAS MORE OF THE SAME. I WATCH SEVERAL OF THE FOLKS LISTED IN YOUR POSTING. I ENJOY THE OPPORTUNITY TO DECIDE AND NOT HAVE IT DECIDED FOR ME.

<span style='font-family:comic sans ms'><span style='color:6633FF' >Well, we just recently put in a satellite after having no tv for 2 years~~only because I read and/or heard so much here at http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/gopusa.gif about the Fox News Channel and how unbiased it was. *We opted to have no local channels~~ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, etc. because you have to pay more and because we couldn't think of ANYTHING we wanted to watch on those channels! *

Well I watch the evening news on the local channel here in NYC but it is like watching Rather and company. If something sounds interesting then I check it on the net in both left and right wing sites. I do avoid the NY, LA, and Washington Times. The only way to see the whole story is to check some sites to get the overview. http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/red_eyes.gif

http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I also bought a satellite dish so I could watch the Fox News. I have the local channels to watch the local news only. I feel also that Fox is the only one to give you the straight unbiased news.

The news media turned traitor right after Korea and has been our worst enemy for almost 50 years. They are liberal brain dead twits that read us the anti-American crap that the news editor puts on the screen in front of them. If they had an original thought they would be fired. It's not news. It's liberal propaganda and most of you eat it up like it's good cake. RIP, America.

FNC is my main news source, but I also watch the local news. Sometimes I will tune in the network news to see what they are reporting and in what manner. My business involves a national newspaper that has a conservative editorial board and all of you should get a subscription! More subscribers = more trucks! *http://gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Sometimes I think that Fox News is trying too hard to appear unbiased. The addition of goofy Jerry Rivers to their staff of investigative reporters, is puzzeling: does Fox think that Jerry actually brings something to the program, or is it just a long-running joke designed to expose the ineptitude of liberal newsfolk?
