Marriage Amendment Puts Texas in Spotlight

Voters head to the polls today in what many pundits will see as a bellwether of what is to come in 2006. With governorships to be determined in New Jersey and Virginia, as well as constitutional amendments to be decided in multiple states, it’s vitally important for conservatives to vote in today’s elections.
In Texas, all eyes will be focused on Proposition 2, the Texas Marriage Amendment. Opponents of Prop 2 have resorted to deceptive phone calls across the state in order to cast doubt in the minds of voters as to whether a “yes” vote means that marriage will be defined as the union between one man and one woman.
