Democrats Use ‘Political Stunt’ to Hide Lack of Vision
Bobby Eberle
The Loft at GOPUSA
Senate Democrats resorted to a “sneak attack” on Republicans on Tuesday to voice their displeasure with what they feel is a lack of progress in investigating the intelligence leading up to the Iraq war. What the Democrats actually did, however, was show that they must rely on theatrics, since they have no clear message on any major issue.
In a move to draw media attention to the investigation of pre-war intelligence leading up to the eventual invasion of Iraq, Senate Democrats called a secret, closed door session, which was pushed on Senate Republicans without warning.
Senate Intelligence Committe Chairman Pat Roberts (R-KS) called the stunt a personal attack and lashed out at Democrats for their criticism of his committee.

http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rofl.gif *These people are in total meltdown. *Truly all they have left in their arsenal is hysterical screaming..no wonder they elected Howard Dean as their leader!! *Conservatives, stand up and make your voices heard, and maybe these people will have nothing left to do but http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sulkoff.gif
Did anyone catch the lady on Fox News a few minutes ago??? I didn't catch her name, I'm up to my ears canning salmon here--but I heard her talk--she started out calmly and gradually crescendoed to total hysteria--and in the same sentence managed to trash GW first for "distracting" the nation by announcing Federal policy on the potential for a Bird Flu pandemic, and then for doing it "a day late and a dollar short" because Europe is ahead of us (well duh, it's already showed up in birds there). Honestly, these people..... http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/usflag22.gif

I do not know how to handle this. It is making me very mad. I do not use foul language, but this stuff is making me think of foul words. I do not know how to "not take this personal".
These rummies say they want the truth, it is not really the truth they want at all. The Truth is not in them...
Their desire is to keep up the appearance of evil or wrong doing by the Bush admin, and stoke the flames of anger of their misinformed, lied to, deceived, fooled, tricked and gullible base.
I am starting to yell at my TV set these days.
I need help!!!

I was just listening to the sound bites on Rush Limbaugh. *The Dem's have gone loopy. *The generally accepted theory behind why is because the Fitzgerald indictments turned out to be so benign that they needed something new to stoke up the blaze they though they were going to get yesterday. *
Rush also mentioned the Rockefeller Memo as being the guiding framework for the Dems current actions. *Does anyone have a copy of that memo so I can put it in my blog? *Thanks.

I think its just that the Democrats are frustrated by the good news in Iraq, the lowering price of oil, the good economic news and the appointment of two Supreme Court nominees by George Bush. They have to resort to any dirty trick they can come up with to try to distract the american public. Something they cannot seem to let sink in to their thick skulls is that the american public is no longer spoon fed the leftist/liberal slant by the likes of ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, etc but is so much more aware of what is actually going on thanks to News outlets like Foxnews as well as the internet. They(the Democrats) want to relive the *glory* days of The Vietnam War and Watergate and they think all they have to do is imply the government is up to no good and the public will appear in the streets with fists raised. The public is not nearly so stupid as Democrats would like to believe. We, the public, will not buy into the Democrats insipid accusations.

The thing that caught my eye from this article is the last para. It indicates that again we aquiesed to the Dims fraudulent actions. Waffle, waffle, waffle, where is the backbone in our Repubs in the Senate.

Any two senators can force a closed session, and Republican leaders decided to go along despite criticism from some in their ranks that the closed session is an unnecessary political stunt designed to turn up the heat on President Bush.
Democrats insist the session is a legitimate, even important, way for lawmakers to explore how the intelligence community could have been as mistaken as it apparently was in saying that Iraq was concealing significant stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons.

What bites me is that the Repubs told tem that they were going to release the stuff yesterday and then the Dems close the doors and make it look like the Repubs are bowing to their wishes.
Either we need to milk this by saying, "We conceeded on your demands now give us something in return" (like a Samuel Alito can get into SCOTUS free pass), or cover them up with so much extra tedious committee work that they cannot breathe or cause trouble (kind of like extra homework for the bad boys at school) and then ask for a daily report.

[where is the backbone in our Repubs in the Senate.]
We are their backbone! Remember the story of the Israelites' battle with Amalek in Exodus 17--as long as Moses held his arms up the Israelites were winning--but of course his arms got tired so Aaron and Hur helped him by holding them up. Our people in Congress have to be getting mighty fatigued of fighting the endless insanity of the libs; they need us to stand with them and support them http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/grouphug.gif and they need to hear it from us as much as possible. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/usflag22.gif Let's Roll!!! http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smash.gif

They have no convictions, they have no principles, and they have no ideas. … But this is the ultimate, since I’ve been the majority leader. Thank you Mr. Frist for speaking out.
The Dems are a bunch of "no gooders", and it is about time that someone has called their hand on it!

I'd like to know how much money this little "Sneak Attack" the dems launched cost the American tax payer. It had to cost something for the room to be closed down & swept for security and what have you!!!
I'd also like to know how much the dems are costing us with there other little tricks meant to hurt the *Bush Admin. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif *
I think if we Americans knew this, it would paint a different picture of their actions, willingly and freely spending the tax payers hard earned $$$ for political gain... http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif
