Did New York Times doyen Maureen Dowd really call her colleague Judy Miller a "slut" during a Wednesday morning interview with radio host Don Imus?

It sure sounded that way, though Dowd never used that word specifically.

The New York Post's Andrea Peyser recaps the latest chapter in the Miller-Dowd donnybrook - which featured the unmistakable insinuation by Dowd that the married Miller slept her way to the top.

it was great! *still is! *NYTimes is doing whatever it can to get their circulation numbers up! *the NY Times is hurting; big time!! *

what's even funnier is seeing the NY Sun, NY Post, NY Times and Newsday's free tabloid "Metro", all compete on the same corner during morning rush hour in manhattan! *yeah, competition is a beautiful thing. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laff.gif

I think we can all be pretty sure that Dowd didn't sleep her way to the top. http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rotflo.gif

C'mon, what metrosexual would put up with her? There isn't enough duct tape in the country to shut that woman up.

Don Imus, I can only take him in small doses...the man is in love with himself.
Nothing on his show is funny, it's nauseating! I cannot believe anyone enjoys listening to or watching his show.

I can't stand Imus but Dowd is one sicko mouthpiece. This man hating lunatic who is loved by the feminist movement has been battering Judith Miller to no end. Miller is in the process of being fired by the NYT. Apparently, her liberal credentials are suspect and the NYT decided to let Dowd finish her off.

Miller is an investigative journalist who focused on biological and chemical weapons. She managed a lot of MSM & C-Span appearances for a book that I believe was called something like Germ (this was shortly after 9/11). Terrified of Saddam Hussein and his inventory of potential weapons, I don't doubt that Dowd had a special relationship with the Bush Adm. Most probably, the Bush hating NYT wanted Miller to cough up enough vomit to sink Bush and company. I also suspect that Miller didn't play along with her employer's obsessive hatred of conservatives - hence, she got herself fired.

I suppose we will all have to wait for Miller's next book (she is reported to already have a book deal).

Maureen Dowd is like Arianna Huffington on steroids. Vicious thru and thru.

Dowd has a flair for the dramatic. Maybe Dowd is jealous of Miller because someone is actually attracted to her?

C-Span televised Dowd's book party last year and it was hilarious. A bunch of Dowd clones/robots showed up for the party-Complete narcisistic snobs, all without an ounce of charm or sexiness. My word, the party was pathetic. I honestly doubt that these liberals have any true friends....they are truly miserable people. I love Dowd's nasaly, snotty voice.....she kind of sounds like Madonna. I'm going to stop talking about Dowd and the NYT reporters because I may throw some colorful language into the mix. Suffice to say that no one wants to kiss Dowd or any of the liberal pundits that show up every week on Meet the Press.
