YEAH!!! another New York Sun fan!! I LOVE the New York Sun newspaper!! seriously, this newspaper gets all the news stories that would never see the light of day in the NY Times.

the hate propaganda is pretty severe. when i lived out in San Francisco, i walked into a mosque with a hoodie tossed over my head and starting poking my nose around. i lasted about 10 seconds before some guy tried to shooo me away. but, not before i grabbed a pamphlet, written in English, off a table. they really promote the one husband four wives thing as a sales pitch. and, oh yeah, muslims really don't like jewish people.

apparently, the greatest gift a muslim man can give an infidel American woman is his child and his decision to marry her. apparently, according to the propaganda, infidel American women are incapable of taking care of themselves and need the direction and "discipline" of Islam. additionally, all the muslim man has to do to convert an American woman is to get her pregnant and marry her. Looks like the muslim guys who do this get extra points with Allah.

Your observations, GroovyLady, are right on target. *Unfortunately, a gal with whom our daughters went through junior high and high school married one, an Arabian mucky-muck of some kind. *She just thought everything was dandy at first. *Then, they moved to Saudi Arabia, children came along and he took another wife as well. *Her romantic outlook on life changed. * http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Down in Los Angeles at the Islamic center, they are always at pains to point out that they are not violent nor are they engaged in spreading any kind of hatred, whenever some big national or international flap hits the news. *Problem with their disclaimers is that too many 'John Q.'s swallow it. *We must be tolerant as you know. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shootout.gif

That reminds me of a classmate, too, who went to UC Berkley and fell in love with a Pakistani. *I don't know, if he was Muslim or Christian. *However, they moved to Pakistan in 1957 where she has lived ever since. *He had position and influence and, I guess, was their Minister of Agriculture there for many years and held other positions of like kind. *She claims to be happy. *My wife and I had dinner with her at a reunion. *However, several of my classmates became sufficiently alarmed at some of the violence against Christians which took place there in Pakistan over the last 2 years and offered her refuge here. *She admitted that her teeth were on edge for a time, but in the end politely declined to move back here even temporarily. *http://www.gopusa.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/ne_nau.gif
