Ousted Alabama Justice to Run for Governor
AP
Fox News
GADSDEN, Ala. — Roy Moore (search), who became a hero to the religious right after being ousted as Alabama's chief justice for refusing to remove a monument of the Ten Commandments from the courthouse, announced Monday that he is running for governor in 2006.
Moore's candidacy could set up a showdown with Gov. Bob Riley, a fellow Republican, and turn the Ten Commandments dispute into a central campaign issue in this Bible Belt state.

I have emailing back and forth with the author that wrote Moore was unfit for any role in government. It is enlightening to see how little she knows about the founding and how she focuses on the need to prevent going back to "puritan" standards and how the 10 Amendment protects us from these kinds of things and people like Moore. About the only thing I agree on is that he should have resigned instead of opposing the ruling the way he did. We are a nation of laws and even though the left don't pay attention to that, I think we should. He may have been right in what should have been but wrong once he violates the ruling, Just or Unjust.
However, I hope he wins.

Thank God there are still some men left in the USA who are more concerned with God's reputation than they are with their own. * Our nation has turned its back on God and on the Godly men who founded this nation and who*stood alone if need be on their conviction as to what is right and wrong. Evil and wicked men are trying to deny the citizens of our nation the opportunity to know what pleases God and therefore the blessings that follow our obedience to His word. *Just read the old testament books to find out what happened to God's chosen people, the sons of Abraham, when they rejected God's authority to tell them how they should conduct themselves.

Welcome Pete. Glad to have you with us.
I admire Roy Moore for standing by principle rather than caving in to the Godless freaks who oppose anything relating to God. Such as the Ten Commandments! It took a lot of courage for him to do what he did without relenting and I believe he did it purely and whole-heartedly because of his understanding of it's scripture and in simply upholding God's will. He had nothing to gain from it.
I wish him great success in the run for Governor!

I only wish we can clone more Roy Moores just think this country could go back and defend what this country was founded on without having groups such as the ACLU breathing down our necks.
